After a successful show at the JCC Arena, FCW returned on October 16th to Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey FL. Before the event began WWE and FCW legend “the American Dream†Dusty Rhodes addressed the fans. He reminded about the history of FCW going back to the 70’s. also in attendance was former World Tag Team champion Jim “the Anvil†Neidhart.

(1) OL Chamberlain defeated Hade Vansen.
Vansen didn’t even wait for the referee to check Chamberlain, he attacked and took over with a series of moves including a clothesline for two. Vansen kept on Chamberlain with chops and a corner whip but Chamberlain moved and got the quick school boy rollup victory. Hansen stood up in total shock and argued with the referee over the validity of the count.
(2) “Stampede Kid” TJ Wilson defeated “The Carnival Freak” Sinn Bowdee.
Bowdee must have been watching the opening bout because he jumped Wilson before he got his ring coat off. But it backfired as Wilson hit a series of movies including a Hot Shot for two. He mounted the corner to deliver ten punches but Bowdee shifted and dropped Wilson on his back. Bowdee resorted to chokes to slow down Wilson as the fans cheered for the “Stampede Kid.” Bowdee took Wilson to the mat in a body scissor submission but the referee made him break the hold after catching Bowdee using the ropes for leverage. Bowdee released the hold by tossing Wilson into the bottom of the ringpost and pulling Wilson’s ribs into it for two. Bowdee kept on the back wit ha backbreaker submission but Wilson refused to submit. Bowdee let the hold go and tossed Wilson into the corner doing more damage to the back. Bowdee went to end the match by putting Wilson on the top rope for a back suplex but Wilson fought back and came off the top, right into a Bowdee bear hug submission. But Wilson slid out of the hold trying for a sunset flip. Bowdee blocked it but missed a punch and was pinned via a victory roll.
(3) “Bad Seed” Shawn Osborne defeated Mariouz Jablanski.
Jablanski made a successful debut Saturday night and was ready to climb the contender ladder. He had to get through Osborne who verbally insulted Jablanski’s heritage. Jablanski fought back with power moves. Osborne tried to even things with some low blows but got taken to the mat with a side headlock. Osborne tried to slow down his opponent with chest chops but Jablanski fought back with a standing suplex for two. Jablanski went back to the side headlock but got sent to the floor when Osborne threw him over the ropes. Osborne played “King of the Mountain” by refusing to let Jablanski back in the ring. Osborne went to the floor to get Jablanski but a fist fight broke out as the referee administered his count which both men beat. Osborne hit a bodyslam but missed a second rope elbow drop and Jablanski got a quick two count before Osborne kicked out and hit a clothesline. Jablanski tried to fight back but got a forearm to the jaw which got Osborne a two count. Feeling victory in the air Osborne locked in an abdominal stretch with the help of the middle ropes. Jablanski was able to power out with a hip toss and a series of punches which rocked Osborne’s jaw. Jablanski hit a Flap Jack but his running knee was stopped when Osborne pulled the referee in to the line of fire. When Jablanski stopped Osborne let the referee go as he hit a kick to the lower regions of Jablanski’s body. With the referee blind to what transpired, Osborne rolled up Jablanski for the win.
(4) In a FCW Diva’s match, The Bella Twins (Nicole & Bri) defeated Nattie Neidhart & Victoria Crawford.
These four ladies have developed a heated rivalry in the past weeks and it the heat didn’t cool off. Bri and Crawford began the match but Crawford quickly tagged out after Bri hit a shoulder tackle. Neidhart came in and went right to a hair pull take down but went to her corner when Bri got on the offense. Nicole came into face Crawford and locked her in a front facelock. The Twins tried to keep Crawford away from her partner but they should have been watching Neidhart who hit Bri with a cheap shot to the head and allowed Crawford to hit a Chick Kick. Neidhart went for the Sharpshooter but Bri fought her off and a fist fight broke out. Bri was nearly defeated by a double team suplex and refused to submit to a chinlock. Nicole tagged in and the fighting ensued between the four ladies at a feverish pace. Neidhart had Nicole pinned but the referee was busy getting Crawford out of the ring. That allowed Nicole and Bri to switch places so they could surprise Neidhart with a small package pin.
(5) Chris Gray defeated Tommy Taylor.
Taylor and Gray began the match with some amateur moves before Gray hit an enziguri. Gray kept on Taylor’s neck but Taylor rolled to the floor and snuck around the ring without Gray seeing him. Taylor hit Gray from behind and then tossed him out of control into the turnbuckles. That was a shift in the match as Taylor went to a series of moves attacking the injured back including a butterfly or double underhook suplex for two. Taylor went for a standing backbreaker submission but Gray countered into a pin for two which sent Gray into the corner chest first. Feeling victory in his grasp Taylor went for the standing backbreaker but Gray slid out into another pin that Taylor couldn’t escape.
(6) “Handsome” Heath Miller & Jake Hager defeated Kofi Kingston & Moose Madison.
Before the match Miller took the mic to proclaim himself the true number one contender while Hager spent time insulting the ladies in attendance. Kingston and Madison did their talking in the ring as Kingston and Miller locked up with Miller on the defensive with an assist from Madison. But Hager tagged himself in to change the pace of the bout. The problem was the pace stayed with Madison and Kingston even as Hager tried to control a test of strength. Kingston snuck in and slapped Hager across the chest. Hager went for the lockup again and was in brief control as Miller tried to come in but Madison stomped on his hand before the blow could be delivered. Kingston and Madison’s momentum was clicking but came to a screeching halt when Miller clipped Kingston’s left knee. Miller and Hager made several tags working over Kingston’s leg using legal and illegal tactics. But nothing they did got them to the pay window as Kingston refused to lose. Miller and Hager made a tactical error, namely Kingston got Hager with a sunset flip which allowed Madison to tag in. Madison went to work on Miller and Hager as Kingston recovered. But Madison’s rollup was stopped by a Hager forearm to the face. Kingston saved Madison from the pin but couldn’t stop a second attempt as Hager dragged him to the floor. Miller and Hager got the win and miller once again boasted his dominance over the rest of FCW.
(7) Steve Lewington defeated Ted DiBiase Jr. via DQ.
After last week’s match with Southern Heavyweight champion Harry Smith, DiBiase seemed to have a chip on his shoulder as he insulted the fans who were cheering him to the ring. Lewington didn’t seem to care if he was cheered or jeered as he laid a slap upside DiBiase’s head. DiBiase fought back with a knee to the gut but Lewington shook it off and hit a slam. But DiBiase got Lewington near the ropes and used them to choke out the British powerhouse. DiBiase went to the mat with a back stretch but Lewington powered to his feet only to get a knee in his gut. DiBiase hit a snap suplex but got two and the frustration began to come out. DiBiase kept working over the upper body with knees and kicks some on the illegal end risking a DQ. Lewington fought back with punches to the face but DiBiase resorted to chokes to even things in his favor. DiBiase hit a slam and the fist drop made famous by his dad before going to a chinlock with his knee buried in Lewington’s back. Somehow Lewington powered to his feet and dropped DiBiase in a corner but was too weak to capitalize. DiBiase went for the Million Dollar Dream but Lewington countered out and hit DiBiase with several legsweeps and some body shots for two. Lewington went for a sleeper win but DiBiase pulled the referee towards him and hit Lewington with a low blow. With the referee down Lewington hit a gutwrench suplex but DiBiase rolled to the floor. When the referee got to his feet he called for bell and the DQ.
To the shock of everyone in attendance, Afa Jr. was declared FCW Southern Heavyweight champion when the current title holder Harry Smith was unable to come to the ring before the referee’s ten count. But before Afa could pop any champagne Billy Kidman came out and said he wasn’t going to let Afa get a cheap win and challenged the new champion. Afa thought about it and decided to accept the match.
(8) FCW Southern Heavyweight champion Afa Jr. defeated Billy Kidman.
Afa tried to slow Kidman down by complaining to the referee that Kidman was pulling hair, was oiled up and he was pulling on his sarong. All Kidman did was keep on the offense and keep Afa guessing what was coming next. But Kidman’s flow was cut off when Afa hit a poke to the eye and threw Kidman shoulder first into the ring post. The new champion went right to work on the damaged arm driving it into the ringpost and anything else he could grab. When he wasn’t breaking the rules, Afa attacked Kidman shoulder and arm with a vengeance. But nothing he did made Kidman submit or stopped him from kicking out of a pin. Kidman tried to hit a clothesline but Afa blocked it and hit a modified cross armbreaker which sent Kidman rolling to the floor. Afa followed him out and raked Kidman’s mouth and eyes. The action came back to the ring where Afa corner charge met Kidman’s elbow but Afa recovered and hit a spinebuster for two. Afa went up top for the win but only hit canvas as Kidman avoided the frog splash. Both men fought to their feet but Kidman was quicker to the punch with a series of moves trying to set up the win. But the Giant Titan appeared at ringside and got Kidman’s attention long enough that Afa hit a superkick to get only two. Afa went for the superkick again but Kidman ducked and hit a dropkick before going up for the Shooting Star. But Titan grabbed him and stopped it long enough for Afa to go up and hit a super Samoan Drop to win.
After the match G-Rilla came out to ruin the post-match celebration. G-Rilla told people he was a bodyguard in his previous life outside wrestling, running down an A-List of clientele. But he decided to stop that to protect former ECW World Heavyweight champion John Morrison. He was allowed by Morrison to come here tonight and issue a challenge to the FCW Southern Heavyweight champion.

Florida Championship Wrestling returns to its roots as it comes to the Crystal River on Saturday November 10. FCW will be part of the “Dave Williams Celebrity Tribute to Jesse’s Place.” The event will be at the Lecanto High School 3810 W. Educational Path, Lecanto, FL 34461.
