  3. Dragon Gate USA Weekly Update 1-21

DGUSA is set to kick off its 2010 with a pay-per-view and live event this weekend. Here is the latest www.DGUSA.tv news and happenings:

-DGUSA returns to Chicago this Saturday to The Congress Theater. This will be the last time DGUSA is in the entire Midwest until after the summer. There will be tickets available at the door. However, if you act now at DGUSA.tv or by calling 267-519-9744 you can save big money. There are a few remaining 2nd row tickets and we have discounted them by 20%. 3rd row tickets are also discounted. This sale is only good until midnight TONIGHT. Act now and get these premium seats at incredible savings. This offer won’t be good at the door on the day of the show. In fact, these tickets will probably sell out by then. Go to DGUSA.tv or call 267-519-9744 to take action. If you order tickets at DGUSA.tv we will refund your shipping charge and hold them at the door for you.

-The Extreme Surprise is coming to Chicago. There are no swerves on this one. This man innovates wrestling, but in a much more violent way than the typical DGUSA wrestler. It will seem like a dream when this individual steps in a DGUSA ring. What is he doing in DGUSA? Be there and experience the difference.

-Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Davey Richards for the FIP World Heavyweight Title and Gran Akuma vs. TJP were added to the Chicago event this week. For the complete lineup go the DGUSA.tv Live Events section.

-“Freedom Fight” premieres on pay-per-view this Friday on iN DEMAND, TVN, Viewer’s Choice and Bell ExpressVU. Dave Meltzer watched an advance screener and reviewed it in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He backs up our claim that Davey Richards vs. YAMATO and Shingo & Dragon Kid vs. Masato Yoshino & Naruki are must see matches by ranking them both at ****1/2. Every match was *** or higher, which is very rare. “…this had two matches that were off the charts, a singles match with Davey Richards against Yamato that you would think couldn’t be topped, and then it was equaled or even topped by the tag match that followed with Masato Yoshino & Naruki Doi vs. Shingo Takagi & Dragon Kid. Every match on the show was good, and if you want to see great action before a heated appreciative crowd, it’s worth going out of your way to see.” Dave Meltzer in the Jan. 25th Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
