In its nearly quarter-century-long history, WWE’s hottest event of the summer has played home to long-anticipated blow-offs between arch-nemeses, entrancing and unforeseen twists and turns, as well as the birth of concept matches (both enduring favorites and bizarre stipulation one-offs).
