Tournament history: 2004 IWA-MS King of the Death Match (lost in 1st round to Manslaughter), 2005 Chikara World Tag Grand Prix (w/Emil Sitoci), 2005 Chikara Young Lions Cup (lost in 1st round to Rorschach) and 2006 IWA-MS Ted Petty Invitational (lost in 2nd round to Chris Hero)Where you have seen him: IWA-MS, Chikara, Ring of Honor, AAW, Insane Wrestling Federation, CZW, NWA No Limits and Full Impact Pro to name a few.Championships held: IWA-MS Heavyweight champion and IWA-MS Tag Team champion with Ryan Boz and Brad Bradley.

Alan J. Wojcik: By being partnered in a tag team match with Billy Roc on the 5/11 NWA Midwest/FSM event, you u earned his way into the JPC along with a birth in the NWA Indiana State Tag Team title tournament. Is it in the back of your mind that in helped by Roc, you could be his roadblock to JPC glory?
Trik Davis: Billy and I our good friends, he knew the rules of the match going into it. I would love to square off against him in the tourney, I think we have similar styles, which is why we’ve had success as a duo.

Alan J. Wojcik: You have some history with two of this years tournament members, having faced Erick Stevens and Chris Hero in last year’s TPI. Is that an advantage for you since the JPC committee announced you will face Hero in round one and could face Stevens in later rounds?
Trik: I have been in the ring with Hero quite a few times, but we haven’t wrestled in about a year. People’s style can change a lot in that time, so I’ll be kind of cold to what to initially expect. If history does repeat it self, it will be a very hard hitting contest. I would love the chance to compete against Erick again.

Alan J. Wojcik: You have been part of the two major IWA-MS tourneys. I know there is no exact comparison between them but how does one prepare for the KOTDM tourney as opposed to the Ted Petty Invitational.

Trik Davis: I actually didn’t really have any time to prepare for KOTDM Ian asked me to do it as a last minute replacement, and I did. Last year to prepare for the TPI I just watched as much tape of the competitors as I could.

Alan J. Wojcik: At 160 pounds you won the IWA-MS Heavyweight title. Did you find that an advantage or disadvantage in your two title defenses?

Trik Davis: I’m not too sure about this I won many matches against bigger guys in IWA, So my size didn’t seem to bother me much, but breaking my hand the match where I won the title did make for a big disadvantage in those matches.

Alan J. Wojcik: What is it like working for IWA-MS owner Ian Rotten and how does he compare to other promoters you have worked for in your career?

Trik Davis: I loved working for Ian. He’s always willing to give young guys a shot.

Alan J. Wojcik: The addition of Allison Danger is a first for the JPC. Most competitors have said they wouldn’t treat her any different than a gentleman. If you faced her in the later rounds, what does Trik Davis do against Allison Danger?

Trik Davis: I would probably just wrestle her, and try to beat her just like anyone else. I would also try to avoid doing things that would get me grounded.

Alan J. Wojcik: Like Billy Roc you have been working with the Ring of Honor promotion which will make their PPV debut in July. How did you come to work for ROH and are you excited at the possibilities that lie ahead in the promotion?

Trik Davis: I was booked in a match with Jack Evans for ROH videos in Philly. A couple were injured on the roster so I ended up wrestling on the main show in a 6way mayhem match, and have been doing Midwest shots for them whenever I’m contacted. Lots of great things are happening for ROH I think it’s exciting for most people on the indy scene.

Alan J. Wojcik: You have also joined its Florida-based sister promotion Full Impact Pro. Is there any comparison between them and how do you feel the FL fans received you?

Trik Davis: I loved it down there. I think the fans responded to me very well. I was really disappointed I could not wrestle the second night, but I look forward to going back hopefully again later in the year.

Alan J. Wojcik: Your Myspace page lists your occupation as “Private Dancer/ Sparkle coordinator”. Care to elaborate on that interesting listing.

Trik Davis: I could elaborate on that, but then it wouldn’t be as funny to me. I shall see everybody July 13th and 14th :)
