MWF TAG TEAM TITLE TURMOIL
J-Busta of the MWF Tag Team Champion Canadian Superstars threw Beau Douglas a curveball this past week. Busta announced that he used one of the post dated contracts he obtained while Johnny Fabulous (aka John Cena Sr.) was suspended to exercise Douglas’ tag team title match clause at NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS March 29th in Beau’s hometown of Somerville, MA. However, if Douglas and a partner TBA do not leave Somerville with the gold, he will never receive another title shot. While President Cena recognizes that Busta’s contract is valid, he’s added a second stipulation: if the Canadian Superstars do not retain the titles, J-Busta and Dave Cole will never be allowed to team up again! The MWF kicks off 2008 with an ULTRA so big, some are calling it the MWF’s best television program ever! President Cena signed a huge double main event for this show. Todd Hanson defends the MWF Heavyweight Championship against TNA superstar Chris Sabin in Hanson’s biggest championship defense to date. “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards exercises his rematch clause with “Million Dollar Investment” Tommaso Ciampa for the MWF Television Championship. Ciampa and TNA star AJ Styles screwed Edwards out of the championship on the November ULTRA, and after another successful tour of NOAH in Japan, Edwards wants the title back he held for over two and a half years! Scott Reed squares off with Furio Falcone in a battle of two athletes looking to climb the ladder of success in 2008, and Mike Nice battles the “debuting” Sledge Robertson (the former Tommy Liddell). Liddell was crushed by Ox Baker’s Executioner Brian Milonas in November, only to go into some kind of sick training with Baker’s evil Army. The result? Sledge Robertson.
