Welcome to the latest AWF News Update.

Big news for October is Raven has just been announced for Pro-Wrestling Showdown events to take place on Central Coast, NSW 20 Oct and Sydney, NSW 21 Oct, plus Melbourne, VIC on 26 Oct. Please support these events to ensure future shows in these areas.

The start of October will be hot with October Wrestlefest seeing visits from Sabu, Gamma and Super Shenron touring October 5-7, Supanova Convention 13 & 14 October so get out and support your local federation – AWF!

Thanks to the success of the “Wrestling for Whiskers” event, Florida Championship Wrestling will be holding shows every Tuesday night at Bourbon Street Night Club, 4331 US 19N in New Port Richey FL. FCW is an official developmental territory to World Wrestling Entertainment. The shows will begin at 830pm with tickets at 7 dollars.

Gimmicks Only Underground Grappling Entertainment (GOUGE) presents Fallout September 27, 2007 Raleigh, NC- Volume Eleven tavern

Show opened with Jaheem the Dream bringing out surfer Jay Oddessey, Count Grog & Wallabee Joe came out and Grog gave Jay his ref shirt and told him thats all he would be doing from now on after he got a concussion last month trying to wrestle.  Count Grog announced that Koala Bear O’Day was still injured and he brought out Wallabee’s new tag partner Stone Cold Steve Lawson (Tank Lawson)

The most professional start to the show as Ian Rotten gives ten seconds of silence followed by the Doctor asking if many boys go to the Rotten household to discuss bookings, angles and the like. Apparently the question is all legit and the answer is not like back in the day. Ian reminisces of CM Punk recording and critiquing his matches and Sabu taking as much time to tell Ian’s wife how good the food is at thanksgiving than the time it takes for him to execute a successful Triple Jump Arabian Press.

New Champions Crowned in Montreal

The International Wrestling Syndicate crowned a new heavyweight champion and new tag-team champions during Blood, Sweat and Beers 2007 at the Medley, on a night where IWS Owner PCP Crazy F’N Manny brought the Blood, the Dudleyz brought the Sweat and the fans b(r)ought the Beers!

This Saturday September 29th, NWA Upstate returns to action with the inaugural “Indytational” tournament. This one-night tournament will feature six of the top stars on the indepnedents today. Some of the wrestlers are established names in the wrestling business while others are still making a name for themselves. Now unlike most tournaments, this one will have a very unique and interesting structure. The first round will feature 2 singles matches, decided by a random draw. That will leave 2 men with an automatic bye into the second round where they will face the winners from round 1. The winners from round 2 will square off in the finals to decide the winner. And not only will the winner become the first Indytational Champion, they will also receive an open contract to book themselves in ANY match they see fit, ANYTIME they want. With tensions and anticipation building and so much at stake, here’s a preview of the six participants that will be competing in the Indytational Tournament:
