CWF MID-ATLANTIC’S “A COLD DAY IN HELL” EVENT
THIS SATURDAY, JANUARY 19th, IN BURLINGTON, NC

*** Converse-Greene Title vs. Title
plus Destiny returns to face The Naturals!

CWF Mid-Atlantic returns to the Carolina Sports Arena in Burlington,
NC this Saturday, January 19th, with a 7:30pm belltime. This is a
huge event with a full card of action including a special VIP meet and greet!

After a year-and-half wait, Ric Converse reclaimed the Mid-Atlantic
Heavyweight Title for the forth time. This Saturday, Converse will
make his first title defense of this pretigious championship since
reclaiming the title. It could very well mark the shortest of his
four title reigns as Converse will face TV Champion “High Definition”
Steve Greene. Greene is the only person to score a pinfall on
Converse on the entire CWF roster during 2007… and he did it twice!

While the two have met in various tag team confrontations, this will
mark the first time they have faced off in a one-on-one championship
contest. It’s a match with huge ramifications as Converse defends
his newly won Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title and Greene places his TV
Title up as well. It’s a match that both men have wanted, as both
want to prove they are the number one singles wrestler in the entire
territory. And the winner of this bout will certainly have those
bragging rights as well as both championship belts.

“There’s no doubt about it,” Steve Greene commented. “Look at this
perfect body. Look at these wide shoulders. Only I can carry both
title belts and look so good,” he continued. “You better adjust your
TV sets for High Definition, because when the bell sounds, I’m going
to add the Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title to the VIP trophy case and
upgrade CWF Mid-Atlantic completely to High-Def. And I’m going to do
what ‘Weak Link’ Joey Silvia couldn’t. BLAH!” concluded the TV
Champion.

As if the fans weren’t worked up enough about the big title versus
title match, another huge match will feature the return of Destiny!
Joey Silvia and Ty Dillinger make they way back to Burlington to
exact their revenge on the VIPs that turned on them in October.
However instead of facing Jesse Ortega & Gemini Kid, they will face
two “honorary VIPs” in the 3-Time TNA/NWA World Tag Team Champions,
Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas, The Naturals.

Gemini Kid called in a favor to have the internationally renowned tag
team come to Burlington to take out Silvia & Dillinger for the
VIPs. “Joey and Ty can come crawling back to the VIPs but we’re done
with them. You two are going to leave Burlington just like you did
last time,” noted Gemini. “And that is bloody, broken, and beaten.
You can head down to the hospital and get stitched up again, while
the VIPs hit the town to burn it down like only we can,” finished
Gemini.

Ty Dillinger had a few choice words on his return as well. “I’ve
heard all the talk from Gemini, Ortega, and Steve Greene. They said
it would be a cold day in hell before Joey Silvia and Ty Dillinger
would return to the Carolina Sports Arena. Well King of Heat, you
better bundle up, because it’s gonna be snowing!” Dillinger exclaimed.

Ty contineud, “They’re bringing in The Naturals to go after Joey and
myself. Well let me tell the VIPs something. We’ve got a surprise
for you. That’s right, a welcome back present. The Naturals can’t
keep us from getting to you back-stabbers. Neither can CWF Security,
the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department, or the by-God National
Guard! We’re coming back to Burlington to settle the score and no
one is going to stop us now. Destiny is back… Unscripted,
uncensored, and unstoppable!”

Two more championship bouts will be defended as well on Saturday
night. Jesse Ortega will be in action defending the CWA Carolinas
Title against former champion Charlie Dreamer. Ortega and Gemini
have bragged about how they invaded Statesville and took the top
title in Dillinger’s CWA promotion. Now Dreamer will head to
Burlington and try to recapture the belt to bring back to the CWA.

The other title bout will be for the newly recognized Ultra J Crown,
a title that is sanctioned by both CWF & CWA. This title features
some of the highest flyers in both promotions and will be defended in
a Torneo Cibernetico as such stars as Stoney Hooker, Kamakazi Kid,
Brass Munkey, RGL Champion Nick Richards and more will square off in
this fast-paced bout.

As if that wasn’t enough, the girls return to the ring featuring
Amber O’Neal!

All this and so much more including Rob “Boogie Woogie Man”
McBride, Tank Lawson, Alex Adonis, Fatback Enterprises’ Mitch Connor,
Donnie Dollars & Corey Edsel, Sheik Lumpkin’s Arab Army, and more in
action this Satuday night in Burlington, NC at the Carolina Sports
Arena!

2. Trent Wylde defeated the Canadian Assassin by pinfall in singles

4. Kamakazi Kid & Xsiris defeated Michael McAllister & Marcellus “Mid
Atlantic” King w/Sheik Lumpkin by pinfall in tag team action (14:17)

5. CWF Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion “the 1st” Ric Converse
defeated Rising Generation League Champion “Jersey” Nick Richards in
non-title singles action by pinfall (2:41)

6. Rob “Boogie Woogie Man” McBride defeated Fatback Enterprises’

7. CWF Mid-Atlantic Television Champion “High Definition” Steve
Greene defeated Brass Munkey by pinfall to retain the title (8:48)

8. CWF Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions the VIPs, “King of Heat”

+++Commissioner William L. Cross came to the ring to speak with Ric
Converse following his bout and was interrupted by all three of the
VIPs, Jesse Ortega, Gemini Kid & Steve Greene. Cross announced that
on Saturday January 19th that Converse would battle Greene in title
for title action, with both the Heavyweight & TV Titles on the line!
Cross then ordered the remaining VIPs, Ortega & Gemini, to face the
returning “Infamous Icon” Joey Silvia w/Ty Dillinger and a partner of
his choice. Gemini insisted that a couple of “visiting VIPs” will be
on hand and that THEY will battle Silvia’s team, and announced that 3-
Time NWA/TNA World Tag Team Champions, The Naturals, Andy Douglas &
Chase Stevens, would represent the VIPs.

Special front-row ringside VIP Tickets are already available for $15
each, which will allow early entrance into the Carolina Sports Arena
for a special meet and greet session with the stars of CWF Mid
Atlantic as well as the visiting Naturals!
