NECW “Spring Breakdown” on 4/26
New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action on Saturday night, April 26th at the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA for SPRING BREAKDOWN. Bell time is 7:00 PM.
Events took place last Friday night at the South Middle School in Brockton, MA that have created controversy surrounding the NECW Triple Crown Championship.
Max Bauer defeated Rick Fuller by pinfall last Friday night, however with the referee down, the fall was counted by Dennis Ginich, a vice principal at South Middle School. While the title was awarded to Bauer, Brian Cairo has filed a protest on behalf of Rick Fuller saying that the result should not count because an unlicensed official made the three count. NECW officials have taken the matter under advisement and will have a ruling on Saturday night at SPRING BREAKDOWN.
Full Impact Pro – Headlines (4/22)
Full Impact Pro will return to action this Saturday in Crystal River, FL for “Dangerous Intentions 2008″ (check www.FullImpactPro.comfor ticket and building info). A new match has just been signed and it is sure to bring pro wrestling at its best to Florida. This Saturday will have Tyler Black vs. Davey Richards. Both these athletes need a win here to get into title contention. This will be a very even, competitive match up.
Ring of Honor – Newswire (4/21)
April 21st: One half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions Mark Briscoe had his wrist ligaments completely torn when Jimmy Jacobs of The Age Of The Fall stabbed his arm last Saturday in Chicago. Briscoe will undergo surgery on Friday and is expected to be sidelined for 3-6 months. ROH officials will decide today what to do with the ROH World Tag Team Title belts. We will have an announcement on the future of the World Tag Team Titles later today or tomorrow on the main page of ROHwrestling.com. We wish Briscoe a speedy recovery in this difficult time. Obviously, the entire Briscoe family is outraged.
April 21st: Jay Briscoe doesn’t want to wait to get his hands on Jimmy Jacobs. He won’t have to as ROH will return to action on 5/9 in Manassas, VA. ROH is heading south for a huge debut in Virginia.
