And inside the wrestling ring in 1986, the threat was brought home by the massive Nikita Koloff. Our elected hero to battle him was matinee idol-type Magnum TA.

NECW Autumn Unleashed Results 9/20


Lots of great action and some big surprises took place as New England Championship Wrestling returned to the National Guard Armory in Quincy, MA this past Saturday night, September 20th in front of a packed house for AUTUMN UNLEASHED. 

In the opener, “Future Superstar” Ryan Matthews defeated visiting Australian star Ryan Eagles via a school boy roll up holding the trunks of Eagles.

 

In a triple threat match for the NECW Tag Team Championship, champions PRIDE (Dan Frietas and Brian Nunes) retained the titles by defeating Team Nightmare (Evan Siks & Nick Steel) and The Crown Jewels (Darling Damon & Jason Rumble). The fall came when PRIDE was able to hit Siks with a tandem side-slam/neck-breaker move.

In May 2003 IPW Hardcore promoters created the JEFF PETERSON MEMORIAL CUP in tribute to the fallen cruiserweight star who passed in 2001 after a long battle with cancer. Since then the event has garnered a list of international stars who supported the event and honored Jeff’s memory by putting on five star caliber bouts. The previous winners were “Reckless Youth” Tom Carter, Justice, Chris Sabin, Milano Collection AT and Chris Hero. This weekend sixteen men will come to Port Richey and Brooksville, Florida to try and join those names. Could this year’s winner be:
