Three Weird WWE Storylines

The Kingfish Arnie takes a closer look at three ridiculous current WWE plots.

No one expects sensitive, realistic adult drama from professional wrestling. Or if they do, they shouldn’t. You have to question the intelligence of someone who watches Boogeyman, the Great Khali Kiss Cam or Undertaker rise from the dead and then wonders how Randy Orton can threaten lawsuit due to termination.

Sometimes, though, the storylines aren’t just wild, but actually stupid and irrational. Right now, there are at least three such stories running in WWE. The next time someone at WWE gripes about something “exposing the business,” you can hit them with this trio.

Online World of Wrestling is proud to announce the addition of a SECOND forum, called OWW Genesis, scheduled to launch on February 1st. OWW Genesis is moving to us from another website after an unfortunate breakdown of communication between the OWW Genesis staff and the other website’s management. As of February 1st, the staff and supporting members of the OWW Genesis community will no longer be a part of the other website, and the forum will be locked. Their loss is our gain.

The ECW *1/27) Extreme Examination!

Our resident philosopher, Jay Shannon, takes a look at the post Royal Rumble edition of ECW. ECW is looking at some major changes in house.

Teddy Long walked out to start the show. the crowd their love to the ECW General Manager. Teddy talked about the Royal Rumble. He sent it to a video package of the highlights. I’ve now watched the Rumble twice and I’m still amazed at how good the show was. The video package ended with Matt Hardy cracking his own brother, Jeff, in the skull with a chair. Teddy said that Matt requested his release from ECW and a transfer to Smackdown. Teddy went to start the action when Jack Swagger’s music went off. The ECW champ waltzed to the ring and held his ECW title aloft.

From 1983-2000 fans who watched NWA/WCW had one PPV to look forward to each year that was the culmination of the big feuds and the beginning of new ones. The event was called Starrcade and thanks to WWE Home Video young wrestling fans get to find out the history of the event with the STARRCADE ESSENTIAL COLLECTION DVD.

For the past seven months the flagship home for the OWW Radio show was located at Obsessed With Wrestling. As of February 10, 2009 OWW Radio will join Black Pants family and begin an exciting association with its wrestling website Online World of Wrestling. Black Pants has proven in the past to be a company that will parent its ventures and readily assist with any necessary costs and make any relevant changes to better its products.
