It’s going to be a while before I, or anyone else, calls No Way Out a “speed bump on the road to WrestleMania The card delivered more than it promised and what fan is going to quibble about that?

The Elimination Chamber matches both turned out well and the outcomes certainly injected a lot of new elements into the WM picture.

Let’s look at the matches and see what’s going on with WWE…

The pre-show, hosted by Jack Korpella, made it clear that the elimination chamber matches constituted a double main event, but the half-hour gave plenty of attention to the Shane McMahon-Randy Orton and JBL-HBK matches.

OWW Wrestler of the Week: Edge

Our resident philosopher, Jay Shannon, looks at the new World Champion. Edge exchanged his WWE title for the World title, thanks to an attack on Kofi Kingston at No Way Out. Smackdown now has both major titles, thanks to the Rated R Superstar.

Edge looked to be having a really bad night at No Way Out. He was the first person pinned in the Smackdown edition of the Elimination Chamber match. Edge appeared to lose the status of champion. By the end of the night, he had earned himself his old belt, the World title, back in the Raw Elimination Chamber match. Edge’s creative way of getting himself a new title and his recent run as WWE champ have earned Adam “Edge” Copeland this week’s OWW: Wrestler of the Week award.

REMEBERING LOUIE SPICOLLI

Today marks the 11 year anniversary of Louie Spicolli passing. He never became a huge star and most fans will never celebrate him the way they do Eddie Guerrero, Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, or Curt Hennig, but let’s spend some time today remembering Louie Spicolli.

Louie Spicolli was born Louis Mucciolo on October 2 1971 in Los Angelos, CA. As a teenager, he was a huge fan of professional wrestling and idolized Roddy Piper.
