HeadLocker — Jay Shannon
My iMPACT (5/7) Insights9
Our resident philosopher, Jay Shannon, brings us his unique analysis of the Thursday night battlefest.
The show began with a look at the Rage and Anarchy that has gripped TNA. It talked about the situation with Samoa Joe, Bobby Lashley, and Mick Foley. This was a promo piece for the upcoming Sacrifice PPV.
Tonight’s Episode: Mafia Re-Loaded
The entire Main Event Mafia, including their two bulky security guys and the two women, walked to the ring. Kurt talked about kicking Foley’s butt last week, with the help of Sting. Kurt said he would be in the main event for the TNA World Title at Sacrifice. Kurt put up his leadership role in the Mafia to get in the match. Kurt was upset about putting a 10 man match on free TV. Kurt was also mad that the Mafia weren’t asked about it, in advance. Kurt demanded that Foley come out an explain what was going on.
The Katz Files – Arnie Katz
My RAW (5/4) Notebook
The Kingfish Arnie Katz highlights the major developments and discusses what they mean.
A Note from the Kingfish
Trying new things is part of the fun of doing a column like that. As an experiment, I am overhauling the format of the Notebooks to highlight the key points instead of embedding them in a recap.
There are lots of recaps, so no one who wants one will go without,. On the other hand, there’s very little intelligent analysis; that’s the aspect I’ll stress in the Notebook series.
The Matt Hardy Enigma
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler put over the idea that Matt Hardy is faking his hand injury. There have even been references to Bob Orton Jr. and the cast he wore for many years. He uses it pretty much the same way Randy’s dad did. too.

The ECW (5/5) Extreme Examination
Our resident philosopher, Jay Shannon, brings you all the action and drama from the Cinco de Mayo edtion of ECW.
Feliz Cinco de Mayo! This week, Christian was set to battle Mark Henry in the main event. Also, Evan Bourne went one-on-one. ECW did kind of forget to bring in someone like Chavo Guerrero or Rey Mysterio to celebrate the Mexican holiday. Oh well, no one’s perfect.
Before I get to all the action, I want to send special birthday wishes out to my step-son, Gary, and my best friend from childhood and “brother”, Fred. Both men celebrated their birthdays on the fifth.
