WXW C-4′s annual return to Sportsfest happened on July 19th for an over four hour extravaganza!  By now you’ve no doubt read all the publicity about the history of the event, so let’s get right down to the recap of the action:

Commissioner Maven Bentley was on hand to open the event and introduce WXW C-4′s first second-generation diva: Miss Risza, the daughter of the late WWF wrestler Steve King, a good friend of the Samoan family.  Shawn Credle handled commentary duties for the broadcast.  Your cameramen were Ethan Cramer and Eric Shaffer, and your timekeeper in attendance was Joel Oreski.  Special thanks also to event sponsors Commix Hotel and Valley Welding.

My Victory Road Recap & Analysis

The Katz Files – Arnie Katz
My Victory Road Recap & Analysis!
The Kingfish Arnie Katz reports the highlights and sidelights id TNA’s July pay per view event, Victory Road, from Orlando, Fm – and delves into the meaning and impact of it.

TNA charted a risky path for Glory Road, which ended in Total Victory for the Main Event Mafia.

This isn’t the first card in wrestling history to give a heel faction this kind of push. The justification is that the babyface faction gets maximum bang at the next pay per view by coming back from the edge of extinct8on.

Still, it doesn’t exactly send fans home whistling a happy tune. The fan favorites really took their lumps at this pay per view, though the dawn of a new, brighter day is coming.

Let’s look at Victory Road match by match to see what’s in store – and what may happen.

Wrestler of the Week: Kevin Nash

HeadLocker — Jay Shannon
OWW Wrestler of the WeekL Kevin Nash
Our resident philosopher looks at the career of Big Sexcy, who took the Legends championship from A.J. Styles at Victory Road.

The past week was filled with title changes. The Knockout, TNA World Tag Team, X-Division and Legends titles all ended up with new owners. The most surprising win would have to be the Legends belt. Very few gave the middle-aged Kevin Nash a chance to taking the Legends strap from A.J. Styles. Nash actually cleanly pinned Styles, following a Chokeslam. He didn’t need the help of his Main Event Mafia buddies to take the newest TNA title.

Basketball to Battler

Kevin Scott Nash was born in Michigan in July of 1959. After high school, Nash moved to the University of Tennessee where he played basketball. Nash’s basketball career was a chaotic one as he often clashed with his coach, Don DeVoe. Nash was studying philosophy and eventually was removed from the basketball team. Nash wanted to transfer to Bowling Green, but decided to move to Europe.
Once he relocated, Nash played for several teams before a severe tear of his ACL ended his basketball career. After taking some time to recover from the leg injury, Nash decided to enlist with NATO. He served with the Military Police for two years before returning to the states.
