For the second time in as many months, National Wrestling Superstars crossed the borders into Connecticut, this time on Saturday night, March 19th at the East Hartford Middle School Gym and word is growing about the popularity of NWS because the bleachers were packed with fans craving the return of real pro wrestling action to their area.

NWS Cruiserweight champion Jumpin Joey Janela was accompanied to ringside by his manager of the evening, former champ J.D. Smoothie, who has vowed that he will be the one to defeat Janela and that until they meet, he has and will watch his back. Janela’s opponent on this evening was another former cruise3rweight champion and that was Mikey Pacifica.  Pacifica looked primed to take back the title but with Smoothie on the outside, it was clearly not going to be his night as Janela scored the 1-2-3.  After the bout, Smoothie, attacked Pacifica until Matt Hyson (aka Matt Dudley) made the save which set up for… (more…)

6th Annual Beetlejuice/Alan Carnill Memorial Show Results

*Before the show started, a video tribute to Alan “Beetlejuice” Carnill was played as the IWF locker room stood ringside and in the ring, followed by the traditional 10-bell salute.

*Before the show’s matches officially got underway, IWF Heavyweight Champion Hoodlum came to the ring with “The Unreal” Joshua Michael, and accused Bronx of being the masked man who attacked him last month. Bronx came out and said that it wasn’t him. Hoodlum then challenged him to a match for the IWF title, which was accepted. The Miracle That Is Tony then came to the ring and complained that he should be champion, since he technically pinned Hoodlum last month (the decision was later reversed). IWF co-commissioner Bigg Mike came into the ring and immediately made a match between Tony and Josh.

This past Saturday, March 13th, National Wrestling Superstars  had an event scheduled at the Sayreville Knights of Columbus and had to deal with heavy winds, floods, closed access to town and downed power lines. Yet, despite all this, NWS went ahead and overcame Mother’s Natures fury to put on a fantastic event to the fans who braved the elements to attend the event.
