WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez, currently 2-0 in EVOLVE competition, will defend her WSU World Championship against Brittney Savage on 5/1 in Rahway, NJ at EVOLVE.

Mercedes Martinez & Brittney Savage seem to be butting heads alot lately. Savage, named by Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine as the most likeliest female to be signed by WWE and voted female rookie of the year, is making all the moves. Savage is currently the WSU Spirit Champion and has created her own stable, called the “Cosmo Club” with WSU Tag Champions Jana & Cindy Rogers, with manager Rick Cataldo.

Here’s a genuine pro wrestling riddle: What is the worst RAW of the year and is also the most compelling and important RAW of the year?

The answers, which I could probably hear you all shouting if I opened my office window, is: “The Three-Hour Draft Show!” The realignment of the rosters is a major event that will affect RAW, Smackdown and the pay per views well into the fall. Yet the show is also light-years from “must see TV.”

To be honest, I would love it TNA did the same thing as WWE and released a group of wrestlers all at once. I have always said TNA needs to release at least 8 wrestlers because their roster is too large for one show.

April 17 NWA Anarchy Hardcore Hell Live Report by Larry Goodman

NWA Anarchy’s Hardcore Hell 2010, the fourteenth rendition of the longest running event in indie wrestling, most assuredly lived up to its name.

Attendance was 230. The NWA Arena in Cornelia hadn’t seen a crowd that size since July 2008. Neither had the talent roster, who busted ass up and down the card in response. It had to be morale boost on all fronts. The heat was generally amazing, until crowd fatigue set in for the last 45 minutes of this 3 and ½ hour show.  (more…)
