SmackDown! moving to Sy-Fy in October


SMACKDOWN GOES SYFY

World Wrestling Entertainment(R) and Syfy announced today a multi-year agreement that brings Friday Night SmackDown(R) to the “Imagine Greater” network beginning in October 2010. Friday Night SmackDown will premiere on its new home October 1st at 8:00 PM ET. The program, which debuted more than 10 years ago, is one of the longest-running, weekly episodic shows on television.

Opening Segment

TNA: Jeff Jarrett came out and threatened to beat an answer out of Sting for why he joined Flair’s forces. Jeff went up onto the catwalk and ambushed Sting. They fought down the stairs and to the ring. Jarrett was taking the fight to the Sting until the lights went out. When they came back up, Sting had his black baseball bat. He went ballistic on Jarrett, beating him silly with the bat. The rest of Team Hogan ran down to make the save. Typical opening for TNA.

Breaking News: TNA legal letter to Jim Cornette

In an explosive story, Jim Cornette today wrote on his website www.jimcornette.com and verbalized at whosslammingwho that TNA Wrestling has notified Federal and State law enforcement in Kentucky, where he resides, that Cornette intends to inflict harm upon TNA creative writer Vince Russo.

This is a legit story, and not a wrestling angle, as apparently Russo is worried for his life. 

Cornette, who worked for TNA from 2006-2009, recently wrote an email to TNA talent chief Terry Taylor, expressing his disdain for Russo saying he wanted to clear the air, and that should Taylor ever hear Cornette giving interviews against the company, that it wasn’t personal and he means no ill will to anyone there aside from Russo.
