Sunset Flip Presents: Future of NXT Stars

Sunset Flip Presents
Future of NXT Stars
By Jim Boy Star

This past Tuesday on NXT, we witnessed one of the most historic episodes in NXT history. Granted, it is a very short history, but history nonetheless. Three wrestlers were eliminated. My initial feeling was a sigh of relief because it means WWE is going somewhere with the show. In an even more surprising move, three wrestlers were eliminated when I originally thought there would only be one.

The premise of NXT is supposed to be that there is only one winner. So, if that is the case what happens to the losers? Do they get fired from the company? Do they go back to FCW, put on a mask and say they are someone else? Or are they automatically in the next season of NXT? WWE has made the statement that they plan on continuing NXT in the future.

Sacrifice Predictions

HeadLocker — Jay Shannon
My Sacrifice Predictions

Our resident philosopher looks at the next TNA Pay Per View. He picks the winners and makes a few predictions about future storyline possibilties.

TNA is back with another semi-gimmick Pay-per-view. Not all the matches have goofy stipulations but many do. This PPV made some major changes after Thursday’s Impact. There are new tag champs, thanks to a Feast or Fired briefcase that has been in storage for months. This show is basically the set-up for the Slammiversary show. Let’s take a look at this B-Grade PPV and see what just might happen.

Beer Money v Motor City Machine Guns v. Team 3D
#1 Contender Match

Predictions: I have to think that the winner of this one gets a title shot at Slammiversary. With wCw (We Control Wrestling) aka The Band just winning the straps, I would imagine the TNA really wants to roll out the big guns for the next PPV. With that in mind, I really expect Team 3D to take this one and move forward to challenge for the belts.

Predicted Winner: Team 3D
Predicted Grade: B- (basically an Impact Hour Turner-level match)

Nobody Asked Me, But..

.The Katz Files – Arnie Katz
Nobody Asked Me about TNA, But…

The Kingfish Arnie Katz continues a “Katz Files” tradition with hard-hitting answers to some ticklish questions inspired watching the 5/13 iMPACT

TNA presented its first in is new series of Thursday night iMPACTs and the familiar surroundings had a revivifying effect on the show. Despite some flaws and a bad audio glitch, iMPACT proved to be a strong two hours and a very good lead-in to Sacrifice.

A number of questions occurred to me while I watched the program. Rather than wait for someone else to ask them, too, I’ll share them with you and give you my answers as well.

NWS Chris Candido J-Cup Tournament Results

Friday night May 14th, NWS held its biggest show of the year, the 2010 Chris Candido Memorial J-Cup Tournament, at the Kenilworth, NJ Veterans Center. A capacity crowd, including standing-room-only fans, filled the hall to see twelve of the circuit’s best cruiserweight, middleweight, and junior heavyweights. And they were certainly not disappointed, as this was one of the wildest J-Cup Tournaments ever, and they didn’t even notice the lack of air conditioning and the hot weather outside, as the action in the ring was even hotter.

The night began with all twelve J-Cup participants surrounding the ring and paying tribute to the late great Chris Candido.

Awesome Kong back to TNA?

Since Bubba the Love Sponge has now been released from TNA, is it best for the company to re-sign Awesome Kong?

On March 1, 2010, Awesome Kong was released from her TNA contract. The reason was because Bubba and Kong got involved in a backstage altercation after some racist comments were made by Bubba. Awesome Kong was simply raising money for the brutal earthquake that took place in Haiti. Bubba comes along, and makes some very rude comments towards this fact. Afterwards, the two got involved in a fist fight since Awesome Kong took the entire incident quite seriously.
