-Sal Hamaoui has been named Chief Operating Officer of Dragon Gate USA. Hamaoui has an impressive resume, ranging from FIP promoter to the main man behind ROH’s production for several years. We welcome Sal to DGUSA and have made this move to make the company better for you.

OWW Radio “Attack of the 5 Boroughs” recap

If you missed Tuesday June 1st edition of the Online World of Wrestling Radio with host Alan Wojcik, here’s the highlights:

· Phil Strum of Under the Ring and the Poughkeepsie Journal joined the show for WWE chat including an injury update on the Undertaker and what should happen at the Fatal Four Way PPV, his pick to win NXT, Ashton Kutcher’s job as Raw guest host and more. Spug of Wrestle Talk Radio joined in with his always interesting perspective.

· Phil’s colleague Kevin Scott joined OWW to give his thoughts on TNA’s Slammiversary PPV announced matches, Ric Flair’s recent media comments on the UK promotional tour, Sean Waltman’s latest media comments, the rumored signings and upcoming departures plus more. Our resident philosopher, Jay Shannon, rolls out a all-new format for his weekly look at the happenings on Thursday nights.

I decided to restructure my weekly column to something similar to what I was doing when both Raw and Impact were on Mondays. This week’s TNA set more pieces into place for June’s Slammiversary show.

This Week’s Episode: The Enigma and the A-H***

The Opening Segment:

Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson worked the first segment. Anderson is well on his way to a face turn, maybe. Anderson absolutely drove the censors bananas with using the “A” word about a dozen times in a row. Anderson said he liked Hardy because both of them were “A**H****”. He started picking out people in the crowd and calling them the same name and even did a hilarious take-off on the old Dr. Pepper tune, singing “Wouldn’t you like to be an A-H (spoken out) too”.

Life After Retreat
The show has improved significantly since losing the Monday Night Showdown and the 5/17 episode represented continued advance.

The show had a couple of excellent matches, including the main event. The rest of the matches weren’t nearly as good, but still graded out in the B/C range, as opposed to the D/F range. (I’m strongly opposed to the D/F range, a rating that all matches on the TNA and WWE shows don’t always escape.
