 NECW Update: WWW 2nd Anniversary, IRON 8 DVD & more!
With GENESIS 7 now in the history books, NECW fans are now turning their attention to the return of World Women’s Wrestling.
World Women’s Wrestling makes its return to live action on Sunday afternoon, March 9, 2008 at Good Time Emporium, 30 Assembly Square Drive, Somerville, MA. Bell time is currently scheduled to be 3:00 PM.
Matches for this event will be announced early next week as officials are still confirming talent for this event.
Lexxus will defend her World Women’s Wrestling Championship in the main event. Also scheduled to appear will be “The Portuguese Princess” Ariel, the Daughters of Darkness – Della Morte and Mistress Belmont, Amber makes her return to World Women’s Wrestling, The Soul Sistahs – Jana and Latasha – will be in action. Plus Sammi Lane, Roxie Cotton and Barbie will be debuting and more.
Last year’s anniversary show included a special lunch with the stars which will be offered again this year. This is a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with the stars and management of World Women’s Wrestling. The luncheon is a separate ticket, but can also be purchased as a combo with a front row ticket. Seating for the luncheon is limited and last year’s sold out, so we encourage you to order your tickets early.

The latest from NECW Home Video is THE IRON 8 CHAMPIONSHIP, the DVD of last year’s tournament and one of the most memorable IRON 8’s ever. The DVD is a deluxe 2 disc set featuring all the action that took place on June 9, 2007, as well as over an hour’s worth of bonus material.
THE IRON 8 is one of the most unique events in professional wrestling. It is a one night tournament, where 8 men collide in the ultimate test of skill, stamina and strategy. 8 men start, squaring off in a semi-final round of 4 singles bouts. The winners proceed to the IRON 8 Final – a 4 way, 45 minute iron man match – where whoever scores the most pinfalls or submissions, wins the match and is that year’s IRON 8 Champion.

NECW returns to liave action on Saturday night, March 29 at the National Guard Armory in Quincy, MA for MARCH BADNESS.
All titles will be defended on this night, with the main event just signed – a grudge match for the NECW Triple Crown Champion between Big Rick Fuller, the defending champion and the controversial Antonio “The Promise” Thomas!
