By WorldWrestlingInsanity.com

The 112th edition of JG’s Radio Free Insanity is on the air and available right now at WorldWrestlingInsanity.com (Flash and MP3 download) This week’s show features former movie star, wrestling star, and Governor of Minnesota Jesse “The Body” Ventura.

Jesse “The Body” Ventura joined ClubWWI.com for what was supposed to be a ten minute chat to discuss his new book, “Don’t Start The Revolution Without Me.” It turned into a 30 minute exclusive discussion with the former Governor and opened up cans of worms left and right. If you’re ready for one of our most shocking and hard hitting shoots, this is the one for you. The man who “tells it like it is,” certainly did that and his focus reached beyond wrestling.

In his 30 minute ClubWWI.com shoot, Jesse talks about doubts on 9/11’s official story, problems with Hillary Clinton’s bid for president, John McCain’s allegiance to the Republican party, the war in Iraq, the night the NAACP protested comments he made on WWF TV, what the “B” stands for in Koko B. Ware, “Chico Santana,” Vince McMahon’s startling “lack of courage,” Kevin Nash, Billy Graham, 60 Minutes, the poor state of the U.S. media, what he said to Sean Hannity about Anna Nicole Smith off-air, and much more.

Remember, Jesse Ventura is one of well over 110 stars spanning countless generations you can hear uncut on ClubWWI.com. Some of these names include: Jerry Lawler, Vince Russo, Eric Bischoff, Bobby Heenan, Kevin Nash, The Iron Sheik, Sid Vicious, Paul Bearer, Bruno Sammartino, Scott D’Amore, Sean Mooney, Tito Santana, Al Snow, Tod Gordon, Charlie Haas, Tom Prichard, Jacques Rougeau, Tammy Sytch, Too Cold Scorpio, Ole Anderson, Kid Kash, Ivan Koloff, Jackie Gayda, John Heidenreich, Jimmy Hart, Jimmy Valiant, Bad News Brown, Dan Severn, Nick Bockwinkel, Dory Funk Jr, Diamond Dallas Page, Rob Conway, Sylvain Grenier, Buff Bagwell, Christian Cage, Jazz, Demolition Ax and Smash, Koko B. James, Ron Killings, Earl and Dave Hebner, Spike Dudley, Rodney Mack, Larry Zybszko, Rick Steiner, Mae Young, and more.

James Guttman then reviewed Jesse’s book, Don’t Start The Revolution Without Me. JG tells the story of calling a top former wrestler for an interview and being told, “I’m not doing wrestling interviews right now.” James thought, “Well what else do you do?” Ventura’s not like that at all. Despite being removed from the industry, he’s still proud of it and presents it in the book. Also, as a former Political Science major and debate coach. Guttman applauds anyone who, with a patriotic background, can question their government in a rational way. To JG, that’s a true show of nationalism, no matter where you live. It shows you’re willing to make sure your country is doing what they say they will and shows that you’re willing to take an active part in your country’s development.

Guttman then says that even if you’re not into politics, the last chapter of the book is amazing as it lays out the angle that Ventura presented to Vince McMahon for WrestleMania 24.

With that, James cues up clips from Jesse Ventura’s 30 minute ClubWWI.com shoot.

James Guttman welcomed Jesse Ventura to the show. He says that normally he welcomes guests to the Insanity but since he spent the week with Sean Hannity and Larry King, Ventura should be used to it. Jesse laughs and says that the interviews have come with the book-promoting territory. He calls it a necessary evil. JG says he read the book and gives Ventura a chance to tell people about it.

Jesse goes through the things he did after leaving office. He taught at Harvard and then went on an adventure. He and his wife take a drive each year from Baja to Minnesota. This book combines his three trips into one and tells people about the things he’s seen on that trip. It leads to a number of stories. In the case of politics, he adds his thoughts…and solutions.

“All the chapters are factual except the epilogue. In the epilogue, I went into fiction.”

James brings up jealousy in wrestling, specifically Hulk Hogan. In 1987, Jesse had Predator. Then, Hulk Hogan sort of bombed with No Holds Barred two years later. When Ventura won the Governorship, Hogan did a PR stunt by offering to run for President. JG asks if Jess thinks Hulk looks at him as someone who accomplished all the things outside the ring that he didn’t. The Body responds:

“Let me say this. Hogan was the biggest thing ever in wrestling. You know, in our era, there’s no doubt about that. Hulkamania on all that, but it’s like my agent in Hollywood would say. When everyone was Hulkamania this, Hulkamania that, my agent kept saying, “Yeah. That’s great. But this Jesse Ventura is truly more talented.” Hogan and I have not been on good terms for a long, long time ever since I tried to unionize wrestling and he’s the one who ratted me to Vince. So, at that time, I realized this so-called friend was indeed not a friend; that he was completely in it for himself. But that’s the nature of the business. You know, it is a cut-throat business and I accept that. I don’t have a great deal of respect for Hogan, today, and one of the reasons is because of that show he does, “Hogan Knows Best.” This is just my opinion, but I’d never exploit my family that way to the media. I think that’s grasping at stardom and attempting to stay on top.”

Jesse then talks about the amount of time that Hulk spent in wrestling and how this is just another attempt to keep his name out there – with his family used to bolster to concept.

“I would never exploit my family to that level…. ”

When Guttman says that some of the pictures of Hulk Hogan with his daughter are uncomfortable, Jesse says this:

“He reminds me of a pimp.”

JG laughs and says he was looking for a nice way to say it. Jesse replies, “Say it like it is, man!”

Don’t forget, in his 30 minute ClubWWI.com shoot, Jesse Ventura talks about doubts on 9/11’s official story, problems with Hillary Clinton’s bid for president, John McCain’s allegiance to the Republican party, the war in Iraq, the night the NAACP protested comments he made on WWF TV, what the “B” stands for in Koko B.
