AHMED JOHNSON REVEALS WHAT HE OWES TO VINCE MCMAHON, WHY HE WON’T BE GOING TO TNA, THOUGHTS ON UFC, AND MORE
By WorldWrestlingInsanity.com

The 117th edition of JG’s Radio Free Insanity is on the air and available right now at WorldWrestlingInsanity.com (Flash and MP3 download) This week’s show features former WWF Intercontinental Champion Ahmed Johnson.

James Guttman starts the show off by talking about how, like that weird VH1/E TV show, he’s having the “best week ever.” Above all else, his daughter, Olivia Paige, was born on Friday night at 8:26pm. Guttman has been on cloud nine since and thanks all the readers for their well wishes and emails. It means a lot to his family and reminds him of how many people enjoy the work he does on the site. He also says that Olivia’s very smart and she’s doing his taxes for next year already. JG expects to be audited since she’s two days old and can’t write yet, but feels you should encourage kids.

While Friday was the best day of his life, a few days earlier was a huge day too as the announcement was made about James’s second book, “World Wrestling Insanity Presents: Shoot First…Ask Questions Later.” It’s up for pre-order on Amazon and will truly amaze many people. Few realize that “World Wrestling Insanity” was written entirely before the site debuted. This book features the stories behind many of ClubWWI.com’s huge guests. It includes off-air stories about guests like Jerry Lawler, Scott Steiner, Eric Bischoff, Dallas Page, Sean Mooney, Sid, Damian Demento, Bobby Heenan, and others. It also looks at what James has learned since the first book and how his perception of the industry has changed. In the next few weeks, more information will be available about this new release.

From there, Guttman announces that after long last, the Insanity returns on Tuesday with ECW Insanity. It’s going to be the annual Memorial Day Barbeque on WorldWrestlingInsanity.com, so be sure to check it out. If you want, you can wait until Wednesday and check out the new legend who’s here for an uncut interview. James says that people will be happy when they see who the star is.

With that, JG prepares clips from Ahmed Johnson’s uncut 50 minute ClubWWI.com shoot. It’s one of the most open, honest, and emotional interviews in Club history. Johnson bares his soul and talks about a ton of topics including: Why left WWE, why he never told Vince McMahon, Learning That Ron “Faaroq” Simmons Injured Him On Purpose, Why Ron Did It, How He Got Payback In The Ring, The $4000 Rib Owen Hart Pulled On Him, The Rib Davey Boy Smith Played on Him During a TV Taping You’ve Probably Seen, Backstage Problems With Yokozuna, How Yoko Refused To Help Him With The Bodyslam, Why He Felt Like “A $10 Whore” In WCW, The Nation of Domination Angle, Sweeping The Floors For Mid-South Wrestling, Getting Spit At By Ted DiBiase, His Wins Over The Rock, Playing Suge Knight in the MC Hammer Story, Getting Suge’s Blessing, Being WWE’S First African-American Intercontinental Champion, The Significance of His Wrestling Outfit, Thinking He Was Joining a Muslim Group, The GWF, MMA, Early Days of Harlem Heat and Bradshaw, plus much more.

With that, James cues up the clips. He begins by welcoming Ahmed Johnson to the show and asks how things are by him. Ahmed says that he’s given his life to the Lord. He refers to himself as a “baby Christian” but reminds listeners that the mean streak is still there. James brings up other guests from the industry who have turned to Christianity. He asks Ahmed if he worked with people like Ted DiBiase and the Kolloffs or if he’s done this on his own. Johnson says he’s done it himself along with his friend, Peter Salvatore. He calls the walk to Christianity “not easy”, but worth it once you get there.

In progress, Ahmed is talking about his wrestling style. Even as a heel, fans cheered him, which he never understood due to his brutal style. He laughs and says he can’t understand it. JG brings up shoot fighting and asks Johnson if he watches. Ahmed loves it and has been taking MMA classes for years. JG compares him to Kimbo Slice, but asks who Johnson follows.

“I like Rampage. I like Chuck Lidell. I like Randy Couture. Those are my favorites.”

Guttman says that it seems like the MMA gimmick would work for Johnson if he returned. It’s not comical, it’s brutal. Ahmed says he never thought about it but what James says is true.

James then asks the magic question. Any chance of returning to wrestling? WWE or TNA maybe?

“I feel like I owe Vince (McMahon). I owe him because of the way I left. I owe him because of the way he treated me. I owe the fans. I owe the fans to come back. Everybody wants to see me and the Taker lock up. I mean, they want to see who win out of that match. I’d like to see who would win out of that match. But with TNA, I don’t know. Me and Jeff Jarrett weren’t best friends. So I don’t think I’ll be going to TNA anytime soon.”

AHMED JOHNSON REVEALS THE TRUE REASON WHY HE WALKED OUT OF THE WWF… AND WHY HE HAS NEVER TOLD VINCE MCMAHON
By WorldWrestlingInsanity.com

He was one of pro wrestling’s fastest rising stars in the WWF. Then one day…he was gone. Now, the first African American Intercontinental Champion, Ahmed Johnson has come to ClubWWI.com for a 50 minute emotional shoot interview that rips the lid off of any false rumors about his life and career.

Over the years, Ahmed gained a reputation for his tough guy persona. From his early days as a member of a well known street gang to his wrestling days where run-ins with others lead to problems and eventually respect from his peers, Johnson has always remained one of the industry’s most mysterious people. Today, he clears many things up on ClubWWI.com and sets the record straight on a massive number of topics including some painful and emotional stories…one of which he’s NEVER spoken about publicly before.

On top of that, Ahmed speaks to James Guttman about much more in his uncut 50 minute Club shoot. Just a few of these many topics include: Learning That Ron “Faaroq” Simmons Injured Him On Purpose, Why Ron Did It, How He Got Payback In The Ring, The $4000 Rib Owen Hart Pulled On Him, The Rib Davey Boy Smith Played on Him During a TV Taping You’ve Probably Seen, Backstage Problems With Yokozuna, How Yoko Refused To Help Him With The Bodyslam, Why He Felt Like “A $10 Whore” In WCW, The Nation of Domination Angle, Sweeping The Floors For Mid-South Wrestling, Getting Spit At By Ted DiBiase, His Wins Over The Rock, Playing Suge Knight in the MC Hammer Story, Getting Suge’s Blessing, Being WWE’S First African-American Intercontinental Champion, The Significance of His Wrestling Outfit, Thinking He Was Joining a Muslim Group, The GWF, MMA, Early Days of Harlem Heat and Bradshaw, plus much more

One subject that Ahmed spoke at length about was the misconception about his WWF departure. The man from Pearl River spends much of the interview clearing up unknown and misunderstood facts, but this is one that he specifically wanted to clear up. Many have guessed that he left the company because he was a “prima donna,” posturing for a better contract, or unhappy about an angle. However, Johnson told JG that those stories are all false. While it’s true that he walked out during a Raw, it wasn’t for any of those reasons. It’s actually something much more personal. It’s something that he didn’t feel comfortable talking about at the time:

“When I left, the reason I did leave, and the reason I didn’t tell Vince is because I’m not a crybaby, is that my sister was dying and she died like three days after I walked out the door and they didn’t know I was dealing with that, you know?”

Ahmed goes on to speak about his sister’s passing and his decision not to tell Vince McMahon about it. He opens up about regret over the way he handled things at that time and speaks about that entire time period including his ill-fated return to WCW, how much he weighed at the time, and what he refused to do there.. It’s a rare look behind the tough exterior of the former IC Champion and an emotional discussion that you wouldn’t expect from Ahmed Johnson. It’s definitely something that any wrestling fan needs to hear and the only place to do that is on ClubWWI.com.

Remember, you can hear this entire shoot and many more (including a legend set for next Wednesday) Over 100 star interviews are available on ClubWWI.com for less than five dollars a month.
