BRIAN KNOBBS REVEALS THE ORIGINAL NAME HE AND SAGGS WERE GOING TO USE, THE DAUGHTER OF A LEGEND WHO CAME UP WITH “NASTY BOYS,” DETAILS ON HULK HOGAN “CELEBRITY WRESTLING” REALITY SHOW, AND MOREBy WorldWrestlingInsanity.com
Get ready for a shoot interview that’s as nasty as it wants to be.. Why? Because if anyone steps up, they find themselves with an arm pit in their face. That’s right. The one and only “Nasty Boy” Brian Knobbs joined ClubWWI.com for a 59 minute shoot interview that takes “in your face” to a whole new level.
Knobbs has a reputation within the business as a no-nonsense brawler who doesn’t dance around the issues. He brings that same outlook to his Club shoot and no topic is off limits. During his discussion with James Guttman, Brian talks about: The Rumored Brawl Between The Nastys and Ken Shamrock, What Ken Said About It In His Book, What Brian Remembers From It, Leaving WCW for WWF, How Jim Herd Tried To Play The Steiners Against Them For It, Why It Didn’t Work, The Three Legendary WWF Wrestlers That George Steele Lined Up To Stretch The Nastys Out Before They Broke In To The Business, Playing Little League With Jerry Saggs, Babysitting on Hogan Knows Best, What Jerry Lawler Made Him and Saggs Do, The Night Wahoo McDaniel Tried To Break His Nose, Rooming With The Rockers, The Pit Stop, The Dying Art of Tag Team Wrestling, L.O.D., The Hart Foundation, Brooke Knows Best, and so much more.
Also, during his ClubWWI.com shoot, Brian Knobbs gives exclusive details on Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Wrestling on CMT. The Nasty Boy reveals his role on the show, the roles of others, celebrities involved, what you can expect to see, and more. The show debuts in October and Knobbs believes that fans will really love it. He even goes on to say, “I’ll stake my reputation on it.”
The reputation of a “Nasty Boy” is a big deal. But there was a time when there almost was no “Nasty Boy” to speak of. Why? Well, because that wasn’t the original name that Knobbs and Saggs planned to use when breaking into the wrestling business. After shooting down a false rumor about an early ’90s gimmick change, Brian revealed how the Nastys became…well, Nasty.
“How we got our name back then was when we first got in we wanted to be called the Mercenaries. We went out with Donna Gagne, Verne’s daughter, and she saw how we acted out in the bars. And she goes, ‘You guys got the wrong gimmick. You shouldn’t be the Mercenaries. You should call yourself “The Nasty Boys.” And she said this while we were out because we were all rowdy and crazy. We looked at each other and went, ‘Hey. That ain’t a bad name.’ That night, the Nasty Boys were born. Me and Saggs thought about it and became the Nasty Boys.”
The discussion doesn’t end there. It’s the Nastiest Hour you’ll hear complete with the man who made Nasty an artform…Brian Knobbs. But it doesn’t end there, Brian is one of over 125 guests to join ClubWWI.com for less than five dollars a month.

James Guttman also speaks about the next uncut shoot interview on ClubWWI.com. Scheduled to go online sometime today, it may even be up by the time you read this. Check WorldWrestlingInsanity.com throughout the day for the announcement.
James mentions that the final work is being done for his second book, “World Wrestling Insanity Presents: Shoot First…Ask Questions Later.” It’s available for preorder on Amazon.com and features all the stories behind the shoots you’ve heard him conduct through the years. From backstage stories to things he’s learned about the world of wrestling, J.G. lays it all on the line. This book will feature many surprises and no matter your opinion of the first book, this is one title that you will definitely want to add to your collection. More details will be given in the next few months.
With that, James cues up the clip from Brian’s massive ClubWWI shoot and plays his response to one of the most talked about stories from the Nasty Career – Ken Shamrock.
There were many rumors that The Nasty Boys had gotten into a legit brawl with Ken Shamrock one night. With their reputations, it’s a tale that has followed them around. Rarely have we heard a response…until now.
“No, actually, he got mad at us, you know? It was all over something that happened at the bar. I was drunker than hell so by the time everything happened and I was at the hotel room, as I was already passed out in my bed so I really don’t know what went on. All I know is Ken really got his ass kicked by Saggs. And I woke up the next day and knew we were in a different room so I knew something had happened. So I went, ‘Saggs…did something happen last night?’ And he was still up and started screaming at me. (irate voice) ‘You dumb…You got Shamrock all wound up…he came up here banging on the door! You were passed out drunk!…’ So that’s what happened there. I was sleeping through the whole thing. ”
James says that the magic of the Internet is that there are so many stories that may or may not be true. He asks Brian if he’s ever heard a story that’s so outlandish about himself that he can’t believe it. Knobbs says he hears it a lot. He says that there’s no ill will years later, but apparently Ken wrote in his book that both the Nasties had jumped him. Brian’s thoughts?
“That would be a good thing to write in your book, but I was sleeping! I don’t remember anything and everyone who was there can testify to that.”
Knobbs then names the other wrestlers who were there and what they did to help him in his drunken stupor. Brian speaks on about the subject of the Nasty Reputation he and Saggs have created.
Aside from Brian Knobbs, over 125 star interviews are available on ClubWWI.com for less than five dollars a month.
