IWC World Heavyweight Title Match:
Dennis Gregory defends against Sterling James Keenan
The match ten months in the making is finally here! Sterling James Keenan began his road to the title back in October when IWC Promoter Norm Connors announced that he wanted Sterling to run a gauntlet over the next 6 months until his title shot at Super Indy VI. SJK went through “Sweet N Sour” Larry Sweeney, Vendetta, Delirious, the always dangerous Low Ki, Dennis Gregory, and “Fabulous” John McChesney until his last match before the title shot: “The Shooter” Brent Albright. After Albright took out the referee, the most bizarre series of events occurred. Dennis Gregory hit the ring, looking to attack SJK with a chair. SJK moved and Denny nailed Albright. Norm hit the ring and questioned Denny, to which Denny replied “I’m doing what’s right for IWC!” Norm started to count the pin on Albright, but did the now-infamous “1-2-SCREW YOU!” Albright nailed SJK with a huge suplex, which Norm counted the pin. He explained after that SJK turned his back on IWC, so IWC turned its back on him, and fired SJK. Later on, it was explained that through a series of emails, Dennis Gregory had wrongly convinced Norm that SJK was restarting the Unholy Alliance in IWC. Of course, now we know that Gregory was just setting him up to get rid of the competition so he could restart it himself. But Connors admitted he was wrong and offered SJK to return to IWC and take an IWC Title Shot. SJK returned only to ask for Brent Albright instead. At Ellsworth Basebrawl 2007, SJK rolled up Albright after a battle all around the field, including fight for his life from underneath the ring truck! Afterwards, Connors offered SJK his title shot again, and this time, SJK accepted. So on August 4th at No Excuses 3 in Elizabeth, PA… SJK finally gets Dennis Gregory in his World Heavyweight Title Match!

IWC Super Indy Title Match:
“Fabulous” John McChesney defends against Delirious w/ Daizee Haze
The man with the lizard face from the Edge of Sanity returns to the International Wrestling Cartel! After six months, former Super Indy Champion Delirious will be making his return to IWC, alongside his translator Daizee Haze, to take on the man who defeated him for that very title, “Fabulous” John McChesney. McChesney and Delirious’ series of matches began last year at No Excuses 2. McChesney was on his way to winning his 3rd Super Indy Title until the interference from Haze led to Delirious getting the win. That became a running theme in their matches, as it occurred at Newville Knockout 2 and Revengeance 3 as well. The early signs of McChesney’s gold-hungry personality began to show through, as his frustration at not being able to get to the title almost got the best of him. He demanded match after match against Delirious, only to come up short due to the interference from Haze. Finally, he demanded a shot at Delirious with “The Haze” banned from ringside. Despite Daizee hiding in the crowd dressed as a fan and eventually interfering anyways, McChesney came out on top. Now in the first month of his record-breaking fourth Super Indy Title reign, the “Fabulous” one is a full-fledged member of Dennis Gregory’s new Unholy Alliance along with Gregory, Sebastian Dark, “The Shooter” Brent Albright, and HENTAI. Well… maybe. In his recent tag team match against Alex Payne & Ernie Osirus, HENTAI chose to call in a favor from his old friend Delirious, picking Daizee Haze as his partner instead of choosing one of his Unholy Alliance stable mates. He was also nowhere to be found when the Alliance made their presence felt that night at Ellsworth Basebrawl 2007. After his obvious uneasiness with the reformation of the Alliance at Summer Sizzler 4, will HENTAI’s friendship with Delirious effect his relationship with the Alliance?

IWC Tag Team Title Match:
The Gambino Brothers defend against BabyFace Fire
At Ellsworth Basebrawl 2007, the Gambino Brothers were set to defend their tag team titles against their cousin “DeeeeLicious” Jimmy DeMarco and his partner Vendetta, the Hollywood Balds. However, they swerved everybody as DeMarco laid down for Mickey to get the win. As the four celebrated, IWC’s promoter Norm Connors was livid. They ruined the Ellsworth Basebrawl main event, and the sponsors of the event, the Ellsworth Fire Department, were furious. Therefore, Norm named Ellsworth Fireman and longtime IWC fan Erin West as the IWC Commissioner-For-The-Night. As his first order of duty, West ordered The Family to compete in an 8-man tag against BabyFace Fire & Sexual Harassment. The wild 8-man tag went all over the Ellsworth Ballfield, including an incredible dive from Justin Idol off the ring truck onto the Family below. As the action made its way back to the ring, Shiima Xion nailed a huge, high-impact missile dropkick on Marshall Gambino and scored the pinfall. So IWC officials decided to grant BabyFace Fire their long awaited rematch against the team who beat them for the titles, the Gambino Brothers, at No Excuses 3!

Southern Comfort vs. the Burning River Brigade
At IWC’s No Excuses 3, it will be a rematch between two former 2-time IWC Tag Team Champions, who have not faced off since mid-2004. It will be a battle between two of the best tag teams that have ever graced an IWC ring! On August 4th, you will see the return of “M-Dogg” Matt Cross & Josh Prohibition, former 2-time IWC Tag Team Champions the Burning River Brigade! Cross & Prohibition won the titles for the first time in late-2003 by defeating The Devil’s Advocates. Their second reign began on May 13th of 2006, but was cut short on June 9th by The Cleveland Mafia. At No Excuses 2, they’ll be battling the aforementioned team, who defeated them for the IWC Tag straps in May of 2004 at Super Indy III. Cross & Prohibition never got a rematch for the belts from this team, and now is their rematch, 3 years in the making. That’s right, IWC faithful. One of the greatest and most popular teams in this company’s history make their long-awaited return to an IWC ring. “The Original Wild-Eyed Southern Boy” Tracy Smothers & “Confederate Currency” Chris Hamrick, collectively known as the team of Southern Comfort, make their return to IWC after an almost 2-year absence! These former 2-time IWC Tag Team Champs first won the titles from Cross & Prohibition at Super Indy III and managed to hold onto them for a record-breaking 7 months. Their second reign began as they unseated HENTAI & Sebastian Dark in an incredible ladder match at Summer Sizzler 2 in August 2005. Now, Sellout Smokey Smasher Smothers and his High-Flyin’ cohort return to IWC to try and reclaim the glory (and raise the divorce rate that Smothers is always speaking of) that they achieved in IWC rings! Now, these two teams battle it out to see once and for all who is the best!

Jon Bolen vs. “The Shooter” Brent Albright
At Super Indy VI, Jon Bolen made his return to IWC after a stint with WWE developmental territories OVW and DSW. He was just hanging out in the locker room, visiting his old friends. Then, Dennis Gregory revealed his plan with “The Shooter” Brent Albright to get the IWC Title back. As the two beat down former champion Ricky Reyes, Bolen couldn’t stand by idly anymore. He stormed the ring and chased off the two men. At Summer Sizzler 4: Checkmate, Bolen’s in-ring return was successful, as he defeated Chris Hero. But it was a bittersweet victory, as Bolen was supposed to take on Albright in a no rules match. But due to supposed “travel issues”, Albright was unable to make it to Elizabeth, PA. Then, at Ellsworth Basebrawl 2007, Bolen was set to team with Sterling James Keenan, a man he’s teamed with before on episodes of WWE Velocity, to take on Unholy Alliance members Albright and Sebastian Dark. However, IWC officials found out earlier in the day that Bolen was stuck somewhere due to his own travel issues. As Brent Albright & Sebastian Dark showed up at Ellsworth Community Park and were informed of this, they just smiled and walked away. The match was changed to SJK vs. Albright in an Ellsworth Street Fight, and Keenan walked away with a victory. Now it’s time for Albright to step up and take his match with Jon Bolen, and it will happen at No Excuses 3!

“The Baddest Man in IWC” Raymond Rowe vs. “The Havana Pitbull” Ricky Reyes
Raymond Rowe will return to an IWC ring on August 4th following a rib injury at the hands of Samoa Joe. If you saw the aftermath backstage, courtesy of Digital Horizons on YouTube, you saw J-Rocc insisting that instead of the Cleveland Mafia going after the Tag Titles again, Ray Rowe focus on the IWC World Heavyweight Title. Last September was a star-making night for Rowe. In one night, he ran through 6 other men in a 4-way tag at Boiling Point 2. Then, as a spot opened in the IWC Title Tournament, Rowe stepped in and made former champion Shirley Doe tap out, only to get screwed out of the match by crooked referee Steven Colter and an alcohol-soaked rag. But the decision was reversed and Rowe moved to to face Ricky Reyes in the semi-finals. However, Rowe was not 100% after the beating he took in the first round, the four-way tag, AND the alcohol-soaked rag from Colter. Once Reyes applied his Dragon Sleeper, Rowe passed out. Reyes went on to win the tournament and the title. Over the next few months, Rowe became one of the most popular wrestlers on the IWC roster, leading up to his battle with Samoa Joe. Many are comparing Rowe’s performance to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin‘s against Bret Hart at Wrestlemania 13 in that, he may not have been victorious against the established & dominating star, but he did not give up to their submission hold, and he proved he can hang with the best in the world. Now Rowe is ready to go after the IWC World Heavyweight Title, and first in his path is the former champion who defeated Rowe on his way to the title, “The Havana Pitbull” Ricky Reyes!

Round 2:
“Balls Hot” Troy Lords vs. “Da Good Guy” Azrieal
In one of the most incredible opening matches in IWC in recent months, “Da Good Guy” Azrieal took on “Balls Hot” Troy Lords at Summer Sizzler 4. IWC officials had their eye on this match, as the winner of the match would be in consideration for a future title shot. Both men gave their all in the match. It was a great back and forth contest, and then Troy Lords ascended the turnbuckles. Azrieal shoved the referee into the turnbuckles, causing Lords to get crotched on the top, and took advantage for the win with his big double stomp off the top. Lords went to IWC officials last week and asked them for a rematch. He offered them a look at the tape of the event, and said that he might not have lost if the referee hadn’t been pushed into the ropes, accidental or not. Less than a week later, they have signed the rematch. At No Excuses 3 in Elizabeth, PA, Troy Lords will once again take on Azrieal!

Sexual Harassment vs. Michael “The Bomber” Facade & Johnny Gargano
Justin Idol & Eric Xtasy seemed to have a little tension following their loss to The Hollywood Balds in the most ridiculous match in recent memory at Summer Sizzler 4. After Idol made it clear that they needed to get serious, the duo made sure they stayed focussed in their 8-man tag team match at Ellsworth Basebrawl 2007. They, along with BabyFace Fire, took it to The Family, and the foursome came out on the winning end. Now, with a win on their side, Harassment are looking to get themselves higher in the IWC tag team ranks. Their first stop is the team of former champions Michael “The Bomber” Facade & Johnny Gargano! Gargano & Facade made quite the impact at Super Indy VI, pinning the Cleveland Mafia at the tail end of a gauntlet match to win the IWC Tag Team Titles out of nowhere. Gargano, a newcomer to IWC, and Facade, still a rookie in professional wrestling, shocked the world with their title win. However, 2 months later, the miracle ended as the Gambino Brothers destroyed the team en route to their fourth Tag Team Title reign. Now, both of these teams need a win to stay in any kind of title contention. It’s must-win at No Excuses 3!
