ESPN.com reports that the Ultimate Warrior died from cardiovascular disease

Former pro wrestler The Ultimate Warrior died of cardiovascular disease, authorities said Monday.

Maricopa County spokeswoman Cari Gerchick says that’s the finding from an autopsy conducted Thursday by the county Medical Examiner’s Office.

A few months ago, Extreme Rising had a scheduled show for Saturday March 8, 2014. It was the very same day that ECWA was presenting ‘Spring Battle III’ live in Newark, Delaware. However, due to unforeseen circumstances the Asylum Arena aka the former ECW arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania had to cancel Extreme Rising’s show forcing Extreme Rising management into crisis mode hoping to somehow appease the fans and the men they had contracted to be on their show.

That’s where a brilliant partnership with the ECWA came into focus!

Dillon, Bill Apter, Kevin Sullivan, Buff Bagwell, Ivan Koloff, Bobby Fulton, Baby Doll, Brian Blair, Ken Shamrock, Sam Houston, Ricky Morton, “The Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant, and more. These performers will be sharing their memories and stories from their time in and out of the ring with the Warrior from each stop in his career, right up through his Hall of Fame induction last weekend and his appearance this past week on Monday Night Raw.

As I was flying home Monday morning from New Orleans, heading to Washington DC, I thought back on a memorable and thrilling WrestleMania weekend.  Most of my friends stayed in town to go to Monday Night Raw at the Smoothie Center.  The Raw after WrestleMania is always a great show; however I chose to skip it this year.  It was time for me to head home.  I’m 40 years old now and being away from my 2 young children is hard on the entire family.   My wife is nice enough to “let” me go to WrestleMania ever year but I need to be respectful and come home the next day.  So my yearly trip is now a few days shorter.  But honestly I’m not sure how much more excitement I could have handled.

New Orleans and WrestleMania XXX were collectively magnificent.

Sting has indeed signed a deal with WWE. There’s no word yet on details regarding what role he will play but he is scheduled to be on TV, but not right away.

It’s said that the deal has been close to being done for a while but now it has been signed. Sting’s assumption was that he would work with The Undertaker, which many expected, but that’s up in the air with Taker’s future now in question.
