MIKE POSEY – The Birmingham, AL native performed as a wrestler and referee initially in Alabama & Georgia, most notably for NWA Wildside. He joined TNA as a referee, and also wrestled in a feud with David Young as “Dropkick” Posey. He resigned from TNA to try-out for WWE and after several dark matches was the 1st referee to join WWE’s development promotion Deep South Wrestling, initially without a WWE contract. Soon he was signed. When the ECW brand was launched he joined the WWE roster as one of its refs, eventually becoming the brand’s Sr. official. In his time in WWE he was a ref in matches on all three WWE brands and appeared at two WrestleManias. Returning to wrestling in 2009, Mike Posey teamed with former WWE Referee, Wes Adams, as the Official Express and Corey Hollis as Alabama Attitude in ROH. Posey won numerous singles titles including RPW TV Title, NWA Ultimate Tag Team Title, APW North Georgia Title, Alabama Junior Heavyweight Title, NWA Tennessee Junior Heavyweight Champion, NWA Pro South All Out & Tag Team Champion, and more. Posey was ranked in the 2012 PWI 500 at 333 up from 438 in 2011 and 470 in 2010.. In 2013 PWI 500 ranked Mike Posey at 320 and Corey Hollis at 318.
Posey & Hollis faced Hot Like Lava (Cru Jones & Shawn Banks) at the TNA House Show in Mascon, GA at the Coliseum on Saturday 10-20-12. Posey & Hollis returned to ROH for the house show in Ashville, NC on 3-30-13 to facing ROH Tag Team Champions, Fish & O’Reilly in a UNDERDOG CHALLENGE rematch, and will appeared at the ROH TV Taping in NYC on April 6 facing QT Marshall & RD Evans.

Fish & O’Reilly successfully retained their ROH World Tag Team titles after the brainbuster/kick combo. Was said to have been a good match. Fish then proceeds to tell a child in the audience that the Easter Bunny is a hoax!

Match Number Two: Corey Hollis and Mike Posey lost to QT Marshall and RD Evans
Match ended with Hollis with an elbow to Marshall but Marshall with a tilt-a-whirl uranage to Hollis. Posey with a leg lariat from the turnbuckles. Evans with a leg lariat to Posey. Evans pulls Hollis into the center of the ring and he gets a near fall. Evans with an Irish whip but Hollis moves when Evans charges into the corner. When Hollis goes to the apron, he kicks Marshall in the head. Hollis goes up top but Evans crotches Hollis. Hollis with a sunset flip power bomb and Posey with the Alabama Jam from the other corner and Marshall breaks up the cover.
Marshall hits God’s Gift on Hollis and Evans gets the three count.

In a proving ground instant reward match, ReDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) defeated C & C Wrestle Factory (Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander) and ACH & Tadarious Thomas and Alabama Attitude (Corey Hollis & Mike Posey) in 12:45. Wall-to-wall action with ACH being the human highlight reel. ACH has something that can’t be seen anywhere else. ROH is missing the boat by putting a rocket up his ass as a singles star. Hollis was way over as the hometown hero. Posey got slammed a bazillion times in a row by the champions. Coleman was shook up after freakish accident with the ropes but got back on track fairly quickly. Hollis was way over as the hometown hero. Fish pinned ACH after a brainbuster/kick combo by Red Dragon. Postmatch, fans chanted “that was awesome”.
ANARCHY WRESTLING in CORNELIA, GA Posey & Hollis returned to face the Anarchy tag team champions, The Movement on 3-9 and faced Slim J & Seth Delay on 3-23. Posey & Hollis return to Anarchy on May 11 and defeated Seven Walters & John Skyler, pinning Walters after Skyler turned on his partner. Posey & Hollis were defeated by Gunner & Walters on 6-8-13. 6-22 Posey & Hollis defeated Foster & Coal (Squared Circle) and Hollis was defeated by Slim J, and Posey was defeated by the debuting Cody Hall. Mike Posey def Steven Walter on 6-29 and as a result will get Franklin Dove “in the ring”. On 7-13-13 Posey & Hollis def Joey Rhymer & BJ Hancock. On 7/27 Posey defeated Kyle Matthews. On 8-10 Posey & Hollis def The Movement. On 8-24 Posey defeated Caprice Coleman and Corey Hollis defeated Slim J. On 9-14 Corey Hollis faces Steven Walters and Mike Posey faces Wildside.

STRYKNYN appeared and asked to replace AZRAEL vs BJ HANCOCK with MISS RACHAEL, which ended when ANTHONY HENRY got involved causing a DQ. AZRAEL hit the ring only to be stopped by HANCOCK & HENRY who injured his neck before STRYNYN could recocer. AZRAEL was helped to the back.
STEVEN WALTERS returned to Anarchy after a tour of the UK and def CORY HOLLIS by submission in a great match that lasted over 20 minutes. FRANKLIN DOVE ordered MIKE POSEY to the back prior to the match.
ANDREW PENDELTON III left commentary for the next match and introduced his new protege, JEAN PIERRE saying they would be referred to as THE ARISTOCRATS and were challenged and defeated by THE SQUARED CIRCLE team of JEREMY FORSTER & JAKE COAL with team member CODY O’CONNOR at ringside. Post-match it appeared the Aristocats team would be short lived but they ended up hugging it out.
TV Champion BOBY MOORE with CHARLIE CASH def CODY O’CONNOR
JEFF G BAILEY and SHAUN TEMPERS came to the ring for the main event of the 1st hour of TV to announce SE7EN was not there and that the Tag Team Title match should be postponed. UNFORGIVABLE BLACKNESS (NEMESIS & SHADOW JACKSON) can out to disagree. FRANKLIN DOVE gave Bailey & Tempers a choice with either Bailey teaming with Tempers to defend or Tempers defending alone against either Shadow or Nemesis which led to SHAUN TEMPERS VS SHADOW JACKSON. Match ended with Tempers in control and Nemesis saving his partner and attacking Tempers for the DQ. As Unforgivable Blackness tried to injure Temper, Jeremy Vain who had been on commentary hit the ring and chased off Blackness. Tempers and Bailey seemed appreciative until Vain turned hid back and Tempers attacked him and planted Vain with a neck breaker. Bailey & Temperrs left happy and with the title belts.
ANTHONY HENRY with MISS RACHAEL def VICTOR ANDREWS using a spear to get the pin. Post Match as Henry celebrated STRYKNYN rolled into the ring and hot a spear on Henry. BJ Hancock tried to get to Stryknyn but was too late to help except to help Henry from the ring.
In an 8 Man Elimination Tag match KEVIN BLUE survived to earn the match and opponent of his choice at FRIGHT NIGHT on October 26. Order of elimination was BRANDON PARKER, VANDAL, TREY WILLIAMS, DANGO, JON WILLIAMS, TOMMY PENIELLI, and finally Young Lions Champion, CB SUAVE. Blue will announce the match and opponent on September 28.
MIKE POSEY stepped up as the first man to try to get the $5000 bounty CHARLIE CASH has offered for anyone who can unmask WILDSIDE. CASH came to the ring to show Posey he had the money to pay him. WILDSIDE got a superkick on Posey only to be attacked by BOBBY MOORE. Moore & Posey nearly got the mask off Wildside but STEVEN WALTERS hit the ring to prevent it.
For The Main Event for the Anarchy Heavyweight Title between MICHAEL JUDAS and Champion GETER, 16 wrestlers surrounded the ring, 4 on each side, to act as lumberjacks and keep the action in the ring (NEMESIS, SHADOW JACKSON, JON & TREY WILLIAMS, VANDAL, KEVIN BLUE, STEVEN WALTERS, SHAUN TEMPERS, BJ HANCOCK, ANTHONY HENRY, BRANDON PARKER, DANGO WYNN, CB SUAVE, TOMMY PENIRELLI, STRYKNYN & BOBBY MOORE). As it turned out keeping the two big men in the ring proved impossible. As eventually all 16 wrestlers plus Wildside who went after Moore were in the ring and Geter and Judas were out of control on the floor using anything they could on each other including various pieces of the TV Production equipment. Finally FRANKLIN DOVE was able to stop the destruction with the threat of firing both men and stripping Geter of the Title. He ordered a cage match between Geter & Judas for Fright Night on October 26 and said that until then neither man could touch the other or both were gone from Anarchy. If Geter is still champion then the match at Fright Night will be for the Heavyweight Title. Franklin Dove also ordered a rematch for September 28 with JEREMY VAIN getting a shot a reclaiming the Heavyweight Title from Geter. He told Judas he’d have to face both Nemesis & Shadow Jackson in a 2 on 1 match on September 28. It was wild Main Event.

Deep Southern Championship Wrestling was created in March of? of 2010 and started running shows once a month in Ellijay, Ga. We started out in a place known as Gilmer Golf and games. Our first show drew a crowd of 35 or 40 people. DSCW didn’t get discouraged though we kept giving good quality matches at a fair price and got our crowds up to 150 or more. We had to move to gyms and civic centers to support our fan base, drawing close to 600 on some of our big shows.
