  • November 24, 1993 – Survivor Series: Bret, Owen, Keith and Bruce Hart defeated Shawn Michaels (sub for Lawler) and his “Knights”.
  • ~~~Bret, Keith and Bruce survived the match, and Owen returned to the ring and shoved Bret out of frustration.
  • December 13, 1993 – RAW: Bret “Hitman” Hart defeated The Brooklyn Brawler.
  • James Dezelich wrote (On December 17, 2009): In 1994, at the WWF house shows leadign up to the 1994 Royal Rumble, The team of Bret and Owen had defeated the Quebecers during one of the shows for the WWF Tag Team Titles. I was at the Show in Madison Square Garden on 1/17/94 and during the match, the Harts came down with the title belts, the match was ultimatly won by the Quebecers and they became the Tag Champions again. This can also be confirmed by the PPV broadcast shows a snipet of the win from MSG before the match..on a side note that same night (1/17/94) they held a Royal Rumble style match and Owen was the winner of it.

  • January 22, 1994 – Royal Rumble: The Quebecers (Jacques and Pierre) defeated Bret and Owen Hart to retain the Tag Team titles.
  • ~~~Owen Hart ended up turning on Bret, igniting a brutal sibling rivalry which lasted well over a year.
  • ~~~Dispite being injured, Bret Hart managed to last through the Royal Rumble and become co-winners along with Lex Luger!
  • February 26, 1994 – Superstars: Bret Hart defeated Adam Bomb.
  • March 20, 1994 – Wrestlemania 10: Owen Hart pulled an upset victory over his brother Bret Hart in the opening match of the show!
  • ~~~Bret Hart later beat Yokozuna to capture the WWF title, as Owen watched in jealousy and disgust from the sidelines.
  • June 16, 1994 – King of the Ring: Diesel (IC Champ) beat Bret Hart by DQ, when a returning Jim Neidhart interfered on Bret’s behalf.
  • ~~~Later in the night, Jim Neidhart appeared again to aid Owen Hart in winning the King of the Ring tournament!
  • ~~~It became apparent that Neidhart was ‘working for Owen’ by making sure Bret kept the belt so Owen could take it from him!
  • July 11, 1994 – RAW: Bret “Hitman” Hart defeated The 1-2-3 Kid by submission to retain the WWF title.
  • July 30, 1994 – Superstars: WWE champion Bret Hart defeated Bob Backlund to retain the title.
  • August 29, 1994 – Summerslam: Bret Hart defeated Owen Hart in an exciting “STEEL CAGE” match to retain the WWF title.
  • ~~~Members of the Hart Family, including Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart, got involved, Bret escaped with his title in tact.
  • October 21, 1994 – Jacques Rougeau Retirement Show: Bret Hart defeated Jim Niedhart to retain the WWF title.
  • November 7, 1994 – RAW: Bret Hart and The British Bulldog defeated Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart.
  • November 23, 1994 – Survivor Series: Bob Backlund w/Owen Hart beat Bret Hart w/British Bulldog for the WWF Heavyweight title!
  • ~~~The only way the match could end was for a cornerman to toss in the towel on behalf of his friend.
  • ~~~The Bulldog was knocked out during the match, and Owen Hart tricked his mother, Helen, into tossing the towel in the ring!

  • February 13, 2006 – RAW: WWE announced that Bret “Hitman” Hart would be officially inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on 4/1.PWInsider reported that Bret Hart insisted that he will not accept payments from WWE for his appearance at the Hall of Fame and the next night at WrestleMania 22. However – WWE is picking up the bill for the travel and accommodation for the Bret and his wife, Cinzia. Accepting a payment would technically make him ‘working’ for WWE, something that he said over and over again that he will never do. PWInsider also said that it was Vince McMahon who called Bret earlier this month to offer him the spot at the Hall Of Fame. Interesting to note is that Bret Hart last appeared at a WrestleMania at the same arena in Chicago, IL., at WrestleMania 13 in 1997.
  • March 18, 2006 – Saturday Night’s Main Event: Shane McMahon w/Vince McMahon defeated Shawn Michaels in a Street Fight.
  • ~~~The lowlight of the match was the finish where Vince McMahon rehashed the screwjob – thus hinting a Bret Hart return!A week before WrestleMania, Bret Hart did an interview in Calgary Sun where he stated that he would not be going to Wrestlemania, saying he has a flight out of Chicago early Sunday morning, but joked he knew the WWE would do everything it could to convince him to stay. He also said that if he sees Shawn Michaels at the Hall of Fame ceremony, he’ll get in a cab and drive straight to the airport.

  • January 4, 2010 – RAW: Bret “The Hitman” Hart appeared on RAW for the first time in 12 years as special RAW guest host for the night.
  • ~~~Bret went for closure, making peace with Shawn Michaels, and then confronting Vince McMahon before making peace with him too.

  • February 15, 2010 – RAW: Bret “Hitman” Hart thanked the WWE Universe and John Cena and took the opportunity to say good-bye.
  • ~~A number of WWE Superstars, including John Cena, met the Hitman backstage and wished him good luck as he prepared to leave.
  • ~Bret Hart said good-bye to John Cena and got into his limo, but suddenly a second vehicle backed into the door crushing Hart’s leg!
