In The Beginning:

  • July 8, 1972: Wayne Keown debuted as “Wayne Cowen” on Atlanta TV losing to Argentina Apollo with the Argentine Backbreaker.
  • “You lowdown, egg-sucking dog” was one of Dutch’s many memorable catch phrases.

United States Wrestling Association:

  • Dutch Mantell was the last USWA Unified Heavyweight Champion and kept the belt when the company closed.

  • February 7, 1998 – Music City Wrestling: Nick Dinsmore vs. Dutch Mantel wrestled to a draw.
  • February 14, 1998 – Music City Wrestling: Nick Dinsmore defeated Dutch Mantel by DQ.

IWA Puerto Rico and Total Nonstop Action + Legend’s Appearances:

  • September 22, 2003: Dutch Mantell took a booking position with NWA: Total Nonstop Action.
  • October 2003: Dutch Mantell, who is now working as a TNA booker, has agreed to remain with IWA as a consultant.
  • November 29, 2003 – Memphis Wrestling: Jerry Lawler and Brian Christopher defeated Dutch Mantell and Doug Gilbert.
  • July 1, 2005 – Memphis Clash of the Legends: Jerry Lawler w/ Jimmy Hart vs Dutch Mantel w/ Jimmy Valiant ended in a No Contest.
  • June 16, 2006 – Clash of the Legends III: Dutch Mantel defeated Koko Ware by Disqualification.
  • October 7, 2006 – CWA: The Family of Pain w/ Jimmy Blaylock defeated Jerry Lawler and Rodney Grimes w/ Dutch Mantell.

  • April 1, 2013 – RAW: WWE world heavyweight champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Zeb Colter w/ Jack Swagger by disqualification in a non-title match.
  • April 8, 2013 – RAW: WWE world heavyweight champion Alberto Del Rio defeated Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger in a “2-on-1″ handicap match.
  • ~~~Swagger hurts Del Rio’s knee badly, and after the match Dolph Ziggler cashed in his ‘Money in the Bank’ briefcase to become the new WWE world heavyweight champion.
  • April 29, 2013 – RAW: Ricardo Rodriguez defeated Big E Langston and Zeb Colter in a no disqualification triple threat match.  Rodriguez now gets to choose the stipulation for the WWE world heavyweight championship triple threat match at Extreme Rules between WWE world heavyweight champion Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, and Jack Swagger.
  • May 3, 2013 – SmackDown: Ricardo Rodriguez defeated Zeb Colter by disqualification. (Jack Swagger interfered)
