  • ~~~It turned out to be a trick, as Dusty Rhodes apologized to John Cena saying “there’s nothing a father wouldn’t do for his son”
  • ~~~Suddenly, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes attacked John Cena and they were joined by Ted DiBiase for a triple team assault!
  • ~~~Eventually DX hit the ring, but Rhodes took off his boot and whacked HHH in the head while Legacy destroyed Michaels.
  • ~~~Orton finished Cena with a punt to the head! Dusty celebrated with Legacy, but Orton callously hit him with an RKO!
  • September 7, 2009 – RAW: John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes by disqualification after interference from WWE champion Randy Orton.
  • September 13, 2009 – WWE Breaking Point: John Cena defeated Randy Orton in an I QUIT match to win the WWE title!

  • ~~~John Cena came out to defend Bret Hart against an assault from Batista, but was viciously destroyed by Batista himself!
  • ~~~This happened after the show went off the air, but was shown on the following episodes of ECW, SmackDown, and RAW.
  • February 8, 2010 – RAW: John Cena vs. Ted DiBiase Jr. never got started because Cena went crazy and stretched Ted with the STF.
  • ~~John Cena was angry and called out Batista for a fight, but when Batista failed to appear, he called out Vince McMahon instead!
  • ~~Mr. McMahon came out surrounded by security and admitted to screwing Bret Hart again – adding that Batista doesn’t like Cena.
  • ~~~Cena tried to get McMahon to accept a match with Bret Hart. Bret attacked McMahon, who escaped and refused the match!
  • February 15, 2010 – RAW: John Cena said good-bye to Bret Hart, who had just praised Cena in front of the WWE Universe.
  • ~Bret Hart said good-bye to John Cena and got into his limo, but suddenly a second vehicle backed into the door crushing Hart’s leg!
  • ~~~John Cena rushed to help Bret Hart and yelled at the bimbo in the driver’s seat for doing such a stupid thing to a WWE Legend!
  • ~~~John Cena called out Batista, but Batista would only address Cena on screen via satellite – Batista wished Cena luck on Sunday.
  • ~~~MAIN EVENT: Triple H defeated John Cena by disqualification in in an Elimination Chamber preview match after Sheamus interfered.
  • February 21, 2010 – Elimination Chamber PPV: John Cena won the RAW Elimination Chamber to win the WWE Championship.

  • June 21, 2010 – RAW: Vince McMahon blamed Bret Hart for the chaos surrounding the NXT group and fired him as General Manager.
  • ~~~MAIN EVENT: John Cena vs. WWE champion Sheamus ended in a No Contest with special outside enforcer Vince McMahon.
  • ~~~The NXT group showed up and attacked John Cena.. but then they surrounded Vince McMahon and shockingly destroyed him!
  • July 5, 2010 – RAW: The Nexus assembled in the ring where they were informed the physical contact ban on them would be lifted.
  • ~~~John Cena came out with Randy Orton, Evan Bourne, David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, R-Truth, and John Morrison with him.
  • ~~~However, some heels (Sheamus, Edge, Jericho, The, Ted DiBiase, and the Usos) attacked them allowing the Nexus to escape!
  • ~~~The anonymous General Manager called for a truce, so John Cena met Wade Barrett in the ring at the end of the night.
  • ~~~Cena teased a handshake but pulled it.. then he was attacked by the Nexus until a bunch of babyfaces storm the ring!
  • July 12, 2010 – RAW: The Nexus surrounded Sheamus backstage, and he felt threatened so he ran off to find John Cena!
  • ~~~Nexus (Wade Barrett and Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel and Skip Sheffield and Michael Tarver and David Otunga) beat John Cena .
  • ~~~After the match; Nexus surrounded Cena in the ring until Sheamus ran out and stood side by side with Cena with steel chairs.
  • July 18, 2010 – Money in the Bank: Sheamus defeated John Cena in a Steel Cage match to retain the WWE Championship.
  • ~~~Nexus interfered and sabotaged John Cena‘s chances of winning, and Sheamus used this to his advantage and escaped the cage!
  • ~~~John Cena was extremely angry and took his frustrations out on Nexus members Darren Young and Michael Tarver.

  • September 27, 2010 – RAW: Edge defeated John Cena but Cena’s foot was clearly under the ropes so the anonymous G.M. restarted it.
  • ~~~Edge went for a spear, but John Cena reversed it into an STF and made him tap out – Edge destroyed the computer after the match!
  • October 1, 2010 – SmackDown: World heavyweight champion Kane vs. John Cena ended in a No Contest with the Nexus as lumberjacks.
  • October 3, 2010 – Hell in a Cell PPV: Wade Barrett defeated John Cena in a “Cena joins Nexus vs. Nexus must disband” match.
  • ~~~John Cena had the match won when two “fans” (Michael McGillicutty and Husky Harris) interfered and help Wade Barrett win!
  • ~~~The Nexus (Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater and Michael Tarver and David Otunga) came to celebrated with Wade Barrett in the ring.

  • October 4, 2010 – RAW: Wade Barrett and The Nexus celebrated their victory and presented John Cena with an official “N” armband.
  • ~~~Mark Henry and Evan Bourne defeated The Nexus (Michael Tarver and John Cena) when Cena jumped off the apron to sign autographs.
  • ~~~John Cena destroyed Michael Tarver (The G.M. said Cena must take direction from Wade Barrett or his contract would be terminated!
  • ~~~MAIN EVENT: Wade Barrett won a 20-man battle royal when he and John Cena were the final two and Cena eliminated himself.

  • ~~~David Otunga did a big celebration as if he was the reason they won, so John Cena gave him an Attitude Adjustment!
  • ~~~MAIN EVENT: Wade Barrett defeated WWE Champion Randy Orton by disqualification after very strategic outside interference by John Cena.
  • ~~Wade Barrett had said if he didn’t win John Cena would be fired, so Cena attacked Barrett so he would “win” by disqualification and keep his job.

  • October 25, 2010 – RAW: Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel defeated David Otunga and John Cena to win the WWE tag team titles.
  • ~~~David Otunga complained to Wade Barrett that John Cena was against him, and therefore could not co-exist as Tag Team champion.
  • ~~~Barrett booked the match and forced Otunga to lay on his back and get pinned so they could keep the tag team titles inside of Nexus..
  • ~~~MAIN EVENT: John Cena defeated Randy Orton by disqualification after Wade Barrett attacked Cena (same finish as the night before).
  • ~~~The winner of the match got to pick the stipulation of the Orton/Barrett match at Survivor Series for the WWE championship.
  • ~~~Wade Barrett chose to make John Cena the referee; if Barrett wins Cena is free, but if he loses Cena will be fired from WWE!
  • November 1, 2010 – RAW: Randy Orton and R-Truth defeated Wade Barrett and David Otunga with special guest referee John Cena.
  • November 8, 2010 – RAW: John Cena defeated David Otunga (Wade Barrett and Nexus went backstage so Otunga could prove himself).
  • ~~~The Nexus defeated Team Orton in a Ten Man Tag Team Match with special guest referee John Cena.

  • November 15, 2010 – Old School RAW: John Cena defeated Alex Riley (sub for The Miz) with an Attitude Adjustment and STF.
  • ~~~Randy Orton tried to take out John Cena after the match, so the G.M. ordered them to go to Piper’s Pit with Rowdy Roddy Piper.
  • ~~~Roddy Piper later did a Piper’s Pit with John Cena, Wade Barrett, and WWE champion Randy Orton to hype the Survivor Series.
  • November 21, 2010 – Survivor Series: Randy Orton defeated Wade Barrett with guest referee John Cena to retain the WWE Championship.
  • ~~~The stipulation was that if Barrett won the title, John Cena would be free, but if Barrett lost, then Cena would be FIRED FROM WWE!
  • ~~Wade Barrett hit Wasteland, but couldn’t get the win so he shoved John Cena – so Cena shoved Barrett into an RKO from Randy Orton!
  • ~~~CONCLUSION: This meant that John Cena was fired from the WWE (in storyline) – so they did a pretend farewell to say good-bye. After the match, John Cena ripped off his Nexus armband and the Nexus ran down to attack him but he and Orton took them all out. The Nexus quickly retreated, along with their defeated leader. Cena presented Orton with the WWE championship belt and they hugged. The Cena-haters tried to start a “nah nah nah nah hey hey hey good bye” chant but it didn’t catch on. Orton had a quick celebration and left Cena in the ring. Cena soaked in the crowd response. The chanted “Cena! Cena! Cena!” and he saluted all four sides of the arena. Cena went over and hugged Michael Cole (but ignored Lawler and Striker) then slapped hands with fans at ringside. They gave Cena a farewell and pretended like he was fired from WWE legitimately. he went up to the stage and posed before walking through the arena high-fiving everybody he passed.

  • November 22, 2010 – RAW: John Cena gave an “emotional farewell speech” and said “good-bye” to the WWE Universe.
  • ~~~MAIN EVENT: Randy Orton defeated Wade Barrett with help from “unemployed” John Cena to retain the WWE championship.
  • John Cena was replaced on all WWE Live Events by his Mexican cousin “Juan Cena” (presumably John under a Lucha mask).
  • November 28, 2010: Juan Cena debuted wearing jeans shorts, a purple mask, and billed at 108.86 kilos from West Newbarnia, Mexico.
  • November 29, 2010 – King of the Ring: John Cena easily got past security and managed to take out Michael McGillicutty backstage.
  • ~~~John Cena bought a ticket and did his best to distract The Nexus but eventually took out Heath Slater with an Attitude Adjustment!
  • ~~~Wade Barrett went to the ring and called out John Cena, who only appeared on the big screen standing outside in the parking lot.

  • December 6, 2010 – RAW: John Cena went after David Otunga at the hotel and continued with his mission to take out the Nexus.
  • ~~~A “fan” (John Cena) distracted the Nexus and caused them to lose the WWE tag team titles to Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov.
  • ~~~LATER: Wade Barrett called out John Cena and told him his tricks won’t work because he will NEVER rehire him in WWE.
  • ~~~John Cena said he was happy hanging out with the fans every week and thinking of new ways to make the lives of the Nexus miserable!
  • ~~~Nexus walked out on Barrett, allowing Cena to attack him! Nexus said Barrett would be kicked out of the group if he didn’t rehire Cena.
  • December 13, 2010 – The Slammy Awards: John Cena won the “Holy **** Move of the Year” Award for his FU on Batista through a stage.
  • ~~~Wade Barrett came out and accepted the award and then went to the ring to call out John Cena and finally announce his decision.
  • ~~~Wade Barrett officially rehired John Cena.. The Nexus quickly attacked Cena while Barrett grabbed a chair and used it to bash Cena!
  • ~~~SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long presented the “WWE Superstar of the Year” Slammy Award to John Cena!

  • January 17, 2011 – RAW: C.M. Punk defeated John Cena by disqualification when an unidentified assailant jumped in and kicked Punk in the face!
