In The Beginning:

  • Koko Ware spent his early days in the sport in the Mid-South, Georgia and other NWA territories.
  • Koko Ware portrayed the characters “Sweet Brown Sugar” and “Stagger Lee” at different times.
  • April 5, 1982 – Memphis: Bobby Eaton and Sweet Brown Sugar (Koko Ware) beat Robert Gibson and Steve Keirn.
  • Late 1983: Koko Ware (under a mask as Stagger Lee) teamed with Norvel Austin as BABYFACES in a Tag Team Tournament.
  • ~~~During a match against The New Fabulous Ones (Tommy Rich and Eddie Gilbert), Lee’s mask accidentall came off.
  • ~~~This is when Koko Ware and Norvell Austin became a heel tag team.
  • Koko Ware teamed with Norvell Austin called “Pretty Young Things” or “PYT Express” in Dallas, Florida and Memphis.
  • September 3, 1984 – Star Wars: Iceman Parsons and Skip Young beat Koko Ware and Norvell Austin via disqualification.

  • 1999: Koko appeared once on WWF Television as the “Black” Blue Blazer during the angle Owen Hart portrayed before his death.
  • 2001: Koko B. Ware tragically lost his pet parrott Frankie due to a fire that happened in his home.
  • August 22, 2003 – SCW: Koko B Ware and Eric Draven and Roger Blade defeated Billy Maverick and Terry Bull and Brandon Hunter.
