In The Beginning:

Koko Ware spent his early days in the sport in the Mid-South, Georgia and other NWA territories.
Koko Ware portrayed the characters “Sweet Brown Sugar” and “Stagger Lee” at different times.
April 5, 1982 – Memphis: Bobby Eaton and Sweet Brown Sugar (Koko Ware) beat Robert Gibson and Steve Keirn.
Late 1983: Koko Ware (under a mask as Stagger Lee) teamed with Norvel Austin as BABYFACES in a Tag Team Tournament.
~~~During a match against The New Fabulous Ones (Tommy Rich and Eddie Gilbert), Lee’s mask accidentall came off.
~~~This is when Koko Ware and Norvell Austin became a heel tag team.
Koko Ware teamed with Norvell Austin called “Pretty Young Things” or “PYT Express” in Dallas, Florida and Memphis.
September 3, 1984 – Star Wars: Iceman Parsons and Skip Young beat Koko Ware and Norvell Austin via disqualification.
