  • December 21, 2009 – RAW: DX took part in a series of comedy sketches with Hornswoggle and a special “Little People’s Court”.
  • ~~~The Big Show asked Santa Clause to allow his best friend Jericho back on RAW, and Santa curiously agreed for some reason.
  • ~~~Hornswoggle showed up and pulled Santa’s beard revealing Chris Jericho! Some Little People came out to defend Hornswoggle.
  • ~~Big Show and Chris Jericho bullied Hornswoggle and beat up some Little People until Triple H and Shawn Michaels made the save!
  • ~~~Triple H and Shawn Michaels said if Hornswoggle dropped the court stuff they would make him the official DX mascot.
  • December 25, 2009 – SmackDown: DX defeated The Hart Dynasty w/Natalya Neidhart to retain the WWE Unified Tag Team titles.
  • ~~~After the match, DX mascot Hornswoggle came out and joined DX in the ring to wish the fans a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
  • December 28, 2009 – RAW: Triple H had fun playing with DX mascot Hornswoggle backstage (duct taped him to a skateboard!).

Mike Aldren wrote (On January 17, 2011): The latest issue of WWE magazine has a feature on Triple H. In regard to his return, he said: “If I can’t do this the way I feel like I should be able to, then I want to be done. And I don’t want to come back here and tarnish that. I don’t want to do the nostalgia run where I come out and say I’m the greatest in the world.” He talked about how when he broke in, he was able to learn from many veterans while today there are very few guys still active to learn from. He also said he’s in a position now where he doesn’t need to be the champion to be a top guy.
