Current WWE star Brock Lesnar, who failed both out-of-competition and in-competition drug tests after UFC 200, may only face a maximum one-year suspension according to the policy of USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency).
Per the policy, “there is a greater likelihood that these (specified) substances could be susceptible to a credible non-doping explanation.” The policy also recognizes the possibility of a prohibited substance entering an athlete’s body inadvertently.
USADA has yet to officially announce the kind of sanction it will take against Lesnar. Lesnar does still face suspensions and fines from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, who temporarily suspended Lesnar. He may also be stripped of his win at UFC 200.
