3-nights 42-matches of pure fantasy

Written by Darbie Gatorade

When I am bored I often have to deal with an unsuspecting flow of creative juices. Someone recently challenged me to come up with some fantasy booking ideas and I sometimes get carried away. What started out as a fun little game ended up being a 42-match marathon. When you read down this list of matches, please remember that wrestlers are assumed to be in their prime.

In my mind this is the ultimate wrestling show (which would end up being a full blown weekend of incredible matches). In fact I have split the madness up into three nights, with three strategically booked cards, each with multiple epic main events. I took a lot of time organizing the cards so the shows would flow in a manner that would keep the fans attention. It’s not as easy as it looks, considering I set a rule that I could only use a wrestler once for the entire weekend. This my attempt at fantasy booking.

Look at each match, close your eyes, and imagine how the match would play out in your head. You might find your own creative juices flowing. You’re encouraged to leave comments at the bottom of the page. Please use your imagination when you read this article and enjoy yourself!

A day that began bright and sunny didn’t end that way for seven wrestlers yesterday afternoon…but ended pretty damned well for one… at the “Ultraviolent Underground”… aka Markland’s Little Acres Saturday afternoon.. 600-700 fans, however, had more than their usual share of blood and guts yesterday as Combat Zone Wrestling prexented Tournament of Death 10.

HEY YO. Enough is Enough with Scott Hall

Written by Tommy Fierro;

I wanted to comment on the Scott Hall incident that took place this past weekend at a Top Rope Promotions event in Fall River, MA. I heard about the incident over the weekend and finally had the chance to watch the footage today. To say it was embarrassing would be an extreme understatement. Not only did Hall have to be helped into the ring by several people, but he didn’t even know where he was at. I’m not talking about what city or even state either. He didn’t know WHAT COUNTRY he was in. On the microphone he said he was in the UK.

Having promoted hundreds of events over the past eighteen years and dealing with hundreds of different stars in the industry, I wanted to give my take on the entire situation.

Wrestling Globe Newsletter goes on hiatus

Just a quick note to let you know that Wrestling Globe Newsletter is now on temporary hiatus. Close friends know exactly why and I hope the rest of you can understand without an explanation.

I know I couldn’t have done this for nearly as long as I have without meeting some awesome friends along the way. Nor could I have done this without an extremely cool lady in my life. And I definitely couldn’t have done this without all the fantastic readers out there that love pro wrestling as much as I do, including the many on the inside that don’t always get what they deserve from this crazy business.
