OUT POSITIVE FEEDBACK ON SCOTT HALL
 

NWS management would like to make the following statement regarding this past weekend’s Scott Hall appearances. . . . Not that Scott Hall needs to get his name any more known in the pro wrestling world but it’s nice that a major Northeast promotion can send out a most positive feedback on Mr. Hall’s appearances.
 
NWS was contacted by an unnamed third party that Mr. Hall would be in the greater New York/New Jersey metro area on other business and would possibly like to make an appearance on our Friday night Carteret, NJ event featuring Sean “X-Pac” Waltman. We welcomed the invite but of course cautioned that the event was at a church gym and on the other upside option on Saturday night at a high school gym and knowing of Mr. Hall’s recent unfavorable press, we were somewhat leery of possible repercussions. But this press release is of a positive nature because of when the negatives are reported, so should the positives.  Scott Hall’s appearance was electrifying (to say the least) on Friday night, and his locker room presence and welcome input in the main event match was totally unexpected (to say the least).  Scott got right back into the swing of things and jumped right into the middle of the match between X-Pac and Monsta Mack even to the point of giving the Razor’s Edge Power Bomb to the over 350 pound Monsta Mack and leading him and Sean out of the ring in victory and a long line of autograph seekers that lasted a good half hour.

November 29, 1966:
God created John Charles Layfield in Texas.

If you didn’t know it already, you should first know that I am a HUGE fan of former WWE Champion and  SmackDown! announcer, John Bradshaw Layfield. Ever since his self-important attitude adjustment over two years ago, he has consistently performed as the WWE’s second biggest heel (behind Triple H). A lot of people have been hard on JBL during his stint as a main event heel, but I think it’s the first time in a long while that a WWE wrestler is hated for all the right reasons. We’re talking about a guy who has paid his dues and perfected his craft.

Here’s the 2010 Quebec Wrestling Awards and Hall of Fame inductees.

El Generico was named wrestler of the year for a second year in a row; LuFisto was named female wrestler of the year; Super Smash Bros. have been named tag team of the year and El Generico vs Kevin Steen was feud of the year.  The Editor’s award was given to Jacques Rougeau Sr. (the father of Ray and Jacques)

Showing what “non-stop” is all about, the hard working WrestleReunion promoters provided the boys and fans with over three action-packed days of the world’s best wrestling fan convention.  Simply an incredible event with events, lectures, signings, photo ops, discussion panels, matches occuring nearly hourly.  “I had a great time just like last year’s WrestleReunion, because there was almost too much happening all the time that I maybe got a few hours sleep since Friday,” said wrestling fan and historian Tony Hernandez who summed it up.
