The ROH World Title holds a very special place in the wrestling industry. The ROH belt isn’t about who plays politics or who is friends with the writers or who looks good under fancy pyrotechnics. The ROH World Title signifies the best the sport of pro wrestling has to offer. We can back that statement up.

Since Samoa Joe made the ROH strap into a World Title on May 17th, 2003, there have been eight individuals that have held the belt. Each forged their own legacy with the ROH World Title. Now they have risen to the top throughout the entire wrestling world. Need proof?

Ring Of Honor - Chicago Ridge, IL - Saturday June 29, 2008 - Vendetta II - 900 fans

Pre Show: Josh Raymond Abercrombie (sans mustache but now with braids) & CJ Otis defeated Kyle Durden & Mitch Franklin in pre show match when Otis pinned Durden with a German suplex with a bridge.

Pre Show: Trik Davis defeated Shane Hollister with a kick to the head

Pre Show Main Event: Dirty Ernie Osirus defeated Egotistico Fantastico with a code red (sunset flip powerbomb). Ego, a Chicago product and former WE developmental worker, was super duper over and got a “please come back chant.”

ROH “Take No Prisoners” will make its pay-per-view premiere on May 30th on iN DEMAND, The DISH Network and TVN cable systems. “Take No Prisoners” describes the attitude of the entire ROH roster as it proves that ROH gives you the most bang for your buck at an affordable price on PPV. “Take No Prisoners” also relates the intensity of one individual as he strives to become a star in one night.

ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness has a unique task ahead of him on this PPV. He will not know who his opponent is entering this card. Instead, he will defend the World Title in the main event against the winner of the opening match. Four individuals will “Take No Prisoners” when they open the PPV with an opportunity of a lifetime. Ring of Honor in Manassas, Virginia

Ring of Honor saved my faith in wrestling. When I found out that they were going to be only five hours away I knew I had to go. I convinced my grandmother to go by showing her Man Up. At the time I thought this may be my only chance to see ROH in person and I would not have been able to live with myself knowing I missed it. I would not regret my decision.

April 21st: One half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions Mark Briscoe had his wrist ligaments completely torn when Jimmy Jacobs of The Age Of The Fall stabbed his arm last Saturday in Chicago. Briscoe will undergo surgery on Friday and is expected to be sidelined for 3-6 months. ROH officials will decide today what to do with the ROH World Tag Team Title belts. We will have an announcement on the future of the World Tag Team Titles later today or tomorrow on the main page of ROHwrestling.com. We wish Briscoe a speedy recovery in this difficult time. Obviously, the entire Briscoe family is outraged.

April 21st: Jay Briscoe doesn’t want to wait to get his hands on Jimmy Jacobs. He won’t have to as ROH will return to action on 5/9 in Manassas, VA. ROH is heading south for a huge debut in Virginia.
