I gotta say this about WRESTLING

A drunken clown once told me “WRESTLING…. In Canada, it’s a Tradition… in Mexico, it’s a Religion…. in Japan, it’s a Sport… in America…. It’s a Joke.”

Now he told me he read that on a message board so if I’m ripping somebody off, I humbly apologize, but this is the most genius statement I’ve ever read! Its level of truth is unlimited..

A friend of mine  purchased a travel package to go to New York for five days to watch WrestleMania XX and take in all the festivities. Now THAT’S a mark! No, I take that back, THAT’S a WWE-mark! I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, I’m glad you enjoy the WWE that much. Vince McMahon’s accountant says you’re not alone. But what I do take offense to is when you call yourself a “Wrestling Fan”……. Uhhhhh, stop the music, no, you are NOT a wrestling fan, you are a WWE fan! A “Wrestling Fan” or “Wrestling Mark” has seen all forms of the sport; Lucha Libre, Puroreso, Independant, and from its purest form back in the early 1900s, until the 1970s, BEFORE it was transformed into “Sports Entertainment”.

Sunset Flip presents: Dear TNA Wrestling

Dear TNA Wrestling

Back in 2004, I witnessed one of your Wednesday night pay-per-view promo after a pay-per-view. While watching the promo, I saw several familiar faces from Sting, Jeff Jarrett, and numerous others. Curious about the event, I pleaded with my parents, so I may order the next pay-per-view. April 28, 2004, I saw a decent show with some interesting established characters, and a strong direction for the talent. Once upon time ago, I didn’t have a capable understand of wrestling terminology, but I knew what I liked. After that pay-per-view, I ordered every TNA Wednesday pay-per-view. It was costly ordering those events, but $10 a pay-per-view wasn’t a erroneous deal. In the next few months, the direction of the company changed from the world title, to the X-division title. The X-division was young, gifted, and had highlight worthy talent.

Sometimes we try to look for certain characteristics in wrestlers in order to relate to them or simply become a fan. But is hard to find the one who fills all our expectations. So I will break down all the features I’m looking for in a wrestler using actual wrestlers to develop the Ideal One!

Sunset Flip Presents: Evaluating Fortune

Sunset Flip Presents
Evaluating Fortune

By Jim Boy Star

In TNA Wrestling, Ric Flair’s Fortune continues to be major players. This week, I want to take a look at each of them individually. Chances are, within a year, the group will have been changed to some degree. As of now Matt Morgan and Doug Williams are both out of the group.

Like most stables in pro wrestling, members will come and go. But, which ones are here to stay. Let’s start with the easiest one first.

TNA: The Turning of Jeff Hardy

Michael Barton Talks About…
“The Turning of Jeff Hardy”

With Bound For Glory in the rearview mirror, TNA has some interesting storylines that should be (and need to be) addressed on Impact this Thursday.  The most significant one, of course, is the heel turn of Jeff Hardy during the main event championship match at BFG.  While this turn was certainly surprising, I think – once again – TNA had made a major mistake.  Please give me a few moments of your time to explain why I stand where I do in regards to this matter.

The most common comparison in regards to this turn by Hardy has been with Hulk Hogan, who shockingly turned at WCW’s Bash at the Beach show in July of 1996.  There are major differences, however, between Hogan and Hardy.

Sunset Flip Presents TNA LIVE in NJ

Sunset Flip Presents TNA LIVE in NJ
By Jim Boy Star

This past Saturday, both World Wrestling Entertainment and TNA Wrestling ran shows that were fairly close to each other. Or at least easy to get from one place to another, via train.

WWE ran the joke that is “Bret Hart Appreciation Night”, while TNA ran a regular house show in the Rahway Rec Center. I attended the TNA event and after reading the WWE MSG report, I know I made the right move. To be fair, I knew I was making the right move even before either event happened.
