The news that Gail Kim will make her triumphal return to WWE got me thinking about the current state of big-time women’s wrestling in North America. Six months ago, women’s wrestler was hot and journalists and fans talked about a future in which women’s wrestling had real prominence and acceptance. Even WWE had made some strides with the addition of Beth Phoenix and Natalia.

Gail Kim was a minor superstar in WWE on her first time through Vinnyland. Gail became a legend as the very first TNA Knockout champion. Now, Gail has decided to take a bigger paycheck and jump back into the WWE. In this edition of HeadLocker, I want to give my thoughts on how this will affect the different federations.

Seems everywhere in wrestling the women are taking over and that’s a good thing. From the WWE Diva’s and the TNA Knockouts to Shimmer and Slammin Ladies Custom shoots, women are working hard to show the viewers they are not just eye candy. I wish to add the northeast based Women Superstars Uncensored to the list of women’s promotions that kick ass for the fans to enjoy.
