National Wrestling Superstars returned to its favorite central Jersey home venue, and the home of the J-Cup Classic, the Manville VFW Hall, on Saturday night October 10th. A super Saturday night turnout packed the VFW Hall to see no less than five one time ECW originals in the house, as well as the regional and local pro mat stars of NWS.

NWS posted on the arena door and announced before the show began, as they had on the Internet, that ECW hardcore legend The Sandman had informed them during the week that he was undergoing knee surgery and would not be able to make the show. Along with ECW originals Sabu and Julio Dinero who were already scheduled to attend, NWS announced that ECW alumni Balls Mahoney, Axl Rotten, and “Dastardly” Danny Doring had been added to the lineup for the evening, plus fan favorite and former WWE & WCW star “America’s Hero” The Patriot.

NWS introduced longtime Women Superstars Uncensored ring announcer Destiny as the co-host for the evening.

In the opening contest, former WWE & WCW star “America’s Hero” The Patriot & former NWS Heavyweight Champion Vicious Vinny defeated current NWS Heavyweight Champion “Corrupted” Corey Havoc & Jack Spade. Despite underhanded tactics from Havoc and Spade, Patriot’s experience and Vinny’s drive to avenge Havoc for his title loss help them dominate most of the match. In the end, Patriot chokeslammed Spade followed by a moonsault by Vinny and the three-count.

In a two-on-one Handicap Match, Indian Chief Draven defeated “Mr. Entertainment” J.D. Smoothie & The Soul Assassin. Smoothie & The Assassin had trouble functioning as a team from the get-go, each wanting to be the one who finished off Draven. Draven took advantage of the dissension, as he speared Smoothie out of the ring and leveled Soul Assassin with a Tomahawk Driver for the three-count.

In a battle of Chikara Wrestling standouts, Ophidian defeated Frightmare. The two high-flying luchadors put on a nonstop aerial display for nearly ten minutes, with the fans on the edge of their seats in awe. At the end, Ophidian and Frightmare each tried to roll up the other and kept reversing it until Ophidian rolled up Frightmare with enough leverage to hold him down for the three-count. Both luchadors shook hands after the match in a show of sportsmanship.

The Nigerian Nightmares (with manager “Voodoo Princess Sheeta) defeated Nikko The Monkey Man & “Sonny Boy” Gulano. The Nightmares also brought their “entourage” with them to ringside, in the form of ECW originals “Dastardly” Danny Doring and Julio Dinero (with his manager Miss Michelle), Danny Demanto, and Nicky Oceans. However, Commissioner Moore appeared almost immediately and ordered the entire cast of extras back to the locker room. The match then began in earnest, but it was hardly a match, as the Nightmares overwhelmed their opposition. After several minutes of crushing abuse, the Nightmares flattened Gulano with a Nigerian Leg Roll and pinned him 1-2-3 to mercifully end the match. But it was not over, as the Nightmares continued to pound Nikko and Sonny Boy, with Danny Demanto and Nicky Oceans joining in the beatdown. The Patriot charged into the ring and in typical American bravery took on all four goons, and it looked like he was keeping them at bay, when Danny Doring and Julio Dinero joined in the fight, making it a six-on-one affair which was too much for The Patriot, as he was beaten down by the overwhelming opposition. Then from out of the back came Balls Mahoney, Axl Rotten, Sabu, and Corvis Fear, who evened up the odds and drove the entire cast of goons from the ring. Patriot seized the microphone and demanded a match against the Nigerian Nightmares tonight. Commissioner Moore said that he could not oblige him tonight, but on NWS’ next Manville show in early 2010, The Patriot and a mystery partner of his choosing would indeed face The Nigerian Nightmares.

In an ECW Originals Tag-Team Explosion, The Chair Swinging Freaks (Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten) vs. “Dastardy” Danny Doring & Julio Dinero (with manager Miss Michelle) ended in a double countout. After several minutes of hard-hitting brawling, both teams took their fight to the floor. Doring and Dinero actually ran out the front door to get away from Balls and Axl, but Balls and Axl did not get back into the ring before the referee reached the count of ten, so both teams were counted out. Balls and Axl complained loudly that they wanted a rematch. After they left, Doring and Dinero finally reappeared in the arena, claiming that they had tried to get back in but the doors were locked. Commissioner Moore wasn’t buying it, and announced that next month in nearby Basking Ridge, NJ, Doring would be facing WWE hall-of-famer Tito Santana, and Dinero would be facing former WWE TV legend Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake in a “Loser Gets A Haircut” Match.

In the other co-main event match, Corvis Fear won a Money-In-The-Bank style Tables-Ladders-and-Chairs Match against ECW original Sabu, “The Cold-Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto, and NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans. Before the match, Demanto insisted that he did not sign on for a T-L-C match, and wanted just a regular tag-team match, but the chairs soon began to fly and the match was on. The match broke down into a pair of brawls, with Demanto and Sabu mostly going at it outside the ring (and into the crowd) with chairs and other objects, and former teammates Oceans and Fear battling each other with the ladders inside the ring. After multiple attempts by all participants to climb the ladder, Sabu put Demanto through a table with an Arabian Facebuster, while Fear knocked Oceans off the ladder and climbed up and retrieved the briefcase (which contained an open guarantee for a match any place any time against any opponent of choice). The crowd applauded the efforts of all four participants.

NWS returns to action on Saturday night October 24th with a long-awaited return to the North Brunswick Township, NJ High School Gym, with former WWE World Champion and Hall of Famer “Superstar” Billy Graham, ECW & WCW hardcore legends Terry Funk & “The Taskmaster” Kevin Sullivan, and TNA Wrestling star Lacey Von Erich. NWS then closes out October with a Howlin’ Halloween Eve show on Friday night October 30th at Long Branch, NJ’s Seashore Broadway Gym, featuring former WWE Oddities member The Giant Silva and the former ECW Zombie.

Women Superstars Uncensored returned with another huge double DVD taping on October 3rd in Union City, NJ. Many heavily hyped matches took place as advertised. WSU plans on releasing these shows on DVD in two weeks. WSU also made an announcement concerning another working relationship which is included in this report.

Here are the quick results, with a more detailed report to come later.

Two videos were shown for the live crowd, which will be included on the DVD release.

DVD Taping One
Before the show could even start, Angel Orsini & Rain brawled throughout the building. Orsini & Rain have had a testy relationship ever since Rain debuted in WSU on 1/10/09. It all finally exploded on 8/22 and this was the first time these two were in the same place at the same time since Orsini finally had enough of Rain’s BS. Security and management had to break these two up before the show officially started.

MATCH ONE
Malia Hosaka d. Cindy Rogers, as the 2009 WSU Hall of Famer sent Rogers on a 3-match losing streak

MATCH TWO
Jana d. Jennifer Cruz, giving Jana the 2-1 advantage in this mini-feud that has been brewing in WSU.

After the match, Jana made it clear she still had unfinished business with WSU Spirit Champion and former partner, Latasha.

In a special edition of Missy’s Manor, hosted by 2009 WSU Hall of Famer Missy Hyatt, Missy Hyatt welcomed back Becky Bayless, who made her return to WSU after a 14 month absence. Becky was welcomed back to the fans. WSU fans learned that Missy Hyatt had applied for a managers license in WSU and Becky wanted Missy to manage her. However, Rick Cataldo came out to interrupt. Rick Cataldo stated that WSU replaced one drunk with another, referencing Sean Hanson, who lost a Loser-Leaves-WSU match last show and Becky’s 2008 DUI. Cataldo made several other comments about Becky’s personal life, which riled up Becky and this match started off with a bang.

MATCH THREE
Becky Bayless w/Missy Hyatt d. Rick Cataldo

MATCH FOUR
Amber O’Neal d. Sassy Stephanie, extending her win streak to 3-0

MATCH FIVE
WSU Spirit Championship Match
(c) Latasha d. Lea Morrison via DQ
With Brittney Force unable to make the show, Latasha said she wanted to defend her title tonight. Latasha gave out an open challenge to the WSU roster, which was answered by her best friend and traveling partner from Boston, Lea Morrison. The two were having an epic clash, until Jana ran out. Jana attacked Latasha, which made the ref call for a DQ. Lea was upset that she was screwed out of a title opportunity. Lea said she wanted to kick Jana’s ass but also wanted a title match. Latasha said she would take on both Lea and Jana in a Triple Threat match at the next event.

MATCH SIX
WSU Tag Team Title Match
(c) Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred d. Alicia & Brooke Carter
During the match, Rick Cataldo, who announced on Missy’s Manor that he had a manager’s contract as well in WSU, came out to scout this match. After Carter was pinned, Rick came into the ring. It was shockingly revealed that Cataldo signed Carter behind Alicia’s back. Cataldo & Carter then attacked Alicia. This is MUST SEE on the DVD release, as this was one of the most despicable acts ever in WSU, although the most despicable act ever in WSU was still yet to come at the end of the night.

Carter then announced she was sick of being called something she wasn’t and being so happy all the time. Carter said her real name is Brittney Savage, something that you can look up online if you don’t believe her, and this is what she’s really like. Brittney Savage said she is sick of playing the role of a good girl and that Brooke Carter was dead. Brittney said she is sick of having to deal with Alicia and somewhat sounded jealous of Alicia’s previous accolades.

Savage then went to curb stomp Alicia, American History X style, until Becky Bayless ran out to help Alicia. After two years, Bayless & Alicia were back in the ring together, for the first time, since December 2007. Bayless & Alicia challenged Cataldo/Savage to a match on the next event.

MATCH SEVEN
UNCENSORED RULES
Rain d. Angel Orsini
In a wild 25+ minute brawl, Rain got the upper-hand on her former business associate Angel Orsini. This was another MUST SEE on DVD match, as we saw a new side of Rain. These two brawled all over Union City, and even had a bar room fist fight. After the end of all this insanity and brutality, Rain defeated Orsini after her patented implant DDT.

MATCH EIGHT
WSU World Title Match
(c) Mercedes Martinez d. Portia Perez
Martinez & Perez ripped it up again in their rematch from November 2008. After 24+ minutes, Martinez was able to win the match with her fisherman brainbuster to retain the title.

After the match, Rain came out. Rain pled her case as number 1 contender. Rain said her partner Nikki Roxx, wasn’t
here because Roxx had better things to do then show her face in this dump called Union City. Portia said Rain had
no friends. Rain made it clear that she doesn’t have friends, but she has partners, and brought out her hired guns,
WSU Tag Champs Havok & Hatred. Havok, Hatred & Rain attacked Martinez & Perez, who had just fought an epic battle.

However, Angel Orsini came out and made the save for her long time friend Martinez. After another war of words, Orsini & Martinez challenged Havok/Hatred for the WSU Tag Team Titles and Portia vs Rain, with the winner becoming the number 1 contender to the WSU World Title was signed!

—

DVD Taping 2

MATCH ONE
Cindy Rogers d. Sassy Stephanie to finally get back on the winning track in WSU

MATCH TWO
Alicia & Becky Bayless w/Missy Hyatt d. Rick Cataldo & Brittney Savage

MATCH THREE
WSU Spirit Championship Match
Jana d. Lea Morrison & (c) Latasha to win the WSU Spirit Championship
Jana hit a vicious spinebuster on Lea Morrison, with Morrison taking the brunt of the move on the back of her head. Jana took advantage of an injury and pinned Lea to win the championship. Latasha, who lost her championship but did not factor in the decision, was irate that Jana went out of her way to injure her “real-life” best friend. This feud between Latasha & Jana, which is almost at the one-year mark has gotten extremely personal, with Jana going out of her way to injure Latasha’s best friend to win the WSU Spirit Championship. It was a plan that Jana told WSUWrestling.com after the match was in the works ever since 8/22. However, perhaps Jana thought she could never beat Latasha for the belt on her own, which is why she lured Latasha into agreeing to a match where Latasha could lose her title if she didn’t get beat.

In an update, Lea Morrison had a mild concussion after the match. Morrison was treated and should be well soon.

MATCH FOUR
Amber O’Neal d. Malia Hosaka to extend her winning streak to 4-0. It seems that WSU has really brought the best out
of Amber O’Neal, as Amber has shown more drive and determination at this point in her career than ever before.

MATCH FIVE
#1 Contender Match to the WSU World Championship
Rain d. Portia Perez
Before the match, Rain brought out Havok & Hatred as her back-up but Orsini & Martinez ran them off to make sure this match stayed one-on-one. Despite having her plan foiled, Rain showed that she is a true threat by winning the match and cementing her status as the top challenger to the WSU World Title in this excellent singles match.

MATCH SIX
For the WSU World Tag Team Championship
(c) Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred fought WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez & Angel Orsini to a No-Contest
In a wild tag match, that featured top rope dives to the floor and showing the quality of tag team wrestling in WSU, the match went to a no-contest when Rain came out to interfere. Portia Perez came out to help Martinez & Orsini, but Orsini & Perez wound up fighting all the way to the locker room with Havok & Hatred. This distraction left Martinez vulnerable and Rain seized her opportunity to get time with the wounded champion, who has been battling through neck, shoulder, knee and back injuries. Rain completely decimated Martinez. This is not an exaggeration.

WSU fans have never seen Martinez so battered and weakened, as Rain destroyed Martinez. Martinez, who wrestled on 10/3 injured, as she refused to take time off to recuperate her injuries, became a victim of her grueling schedule. Rain picked apart Martinez. For the first time ever in WSU, a show ended without a hand being raised, as Rain ended the show by dismantling the champion. In an iconic and symbolizing act, after beating on Martinez with a barrage of chair shots, Rain grabbed the world title and hoisted it over her head for everyone to see. Rain promised the championship would be hers the next time she stepped inside a WSU ring. Martinez had to be assisted to the back and due to her pre-existing injuries and injuries received by Rain, needed EMT attention.

Before this attack, every WSU event has ended with a clear-cut winner. Rain decided to change all that and make a statement. The statement has been heard by the womens wrestling world, and Rain has proclaimed herself as the next WSU World Champion. With Martinez fighting through serious injuries and Rain proving that she will do anything to win the title, it looks like the Rain Era has begun. To understand the severity of this situation, one must check out the DVD of this show once it is released.

—-

WSU Post Show News/Notes:

During the event, WSU announced that they will be giving a match to the upcoming Dragon Gate “Independent Tour De Force” DVD. This DVD will feature top matches from many top independent promotions from across the United States. This DVD, which will be given away for free by Dragon Gate USA to ringside ticket holders on upcoming DragonGate USA shows will feature the Mercedes Martinez vs Nikki Roxx World Title Match from 8/22. We will have full information about this DVD in upcoming updates. As Dragon Gate tries to do something new, exciting and fresh in the United States, WSU is happy to expose Dragon Gate fans to the best in womens wrestling today.

WSU will like to thank ACE Pro Wrestling and their staff, specifically Mike Morgan, John Fallon, DJ Cyco & Lauren Nolan for their help and assistance in making WSU’s debut in Union City successful and with ease. WSU plans on returning to Union City this winter, as we are trying to coordinate a date that is best for our talent and fans, as we know there are many upcoming events the northeast area in late November/December, which is our target for our next event.

WSU will be working with other northeast promotions as usual during the fall/winter, as WSU is proud to be working with both the ACE & NWS promotions. We hope to announce a full schedule of matches later this week, as WSU has been approached by different organizations for WSU title defenses.

Lethalwow.com, a top womens wrestling website, has live interviews with the WSU roster. Check it out on their site, as they are now covering WSU on a full-time basis.

WSUwrestling.com will be updated all week with tons of news and information. We hope to have these DVDs released in two weeks.

(8) Steve Madison/Freedom Ryder defeated Sheik/Bruiser Bradley.

On Saturday September 5th Pro Wrestling Fusion held American Wrestlution 2. It was held at the Temple Terrace Recreation Center. Thanks to Wrestling For a Cause and the National Wrestling Alliance the event benefited the Antioch Redskins football team. Speaking of the Redskins their coaching staff opened the show thanking everyone for coming out to support their cause. That was stopped by Francisco Ciatso and the Double Deuce Social Club. After he told the coaches and players he didn’t care for them being here he told the fans NO ONE would shut him up. That brought out former WWE superstar Doug Basham to the ring and he was able to shut Ciatso up long enough to issue a challenge to him.

(1) Doug Basham defeated Francisco Ciatso (w/Double Deuce Social Club members Cannon & “Princess of Wrestling” Amy Vitale)
In the opening minutes Ciatso spent more time complaining to the referee about Basham’s tactics than actually locking up with Basham. When they did lock up Basham had Ciatso on the mat in an armbar. A rake of the eyes changed that along with chokes from Vitale and Cannon. Ciatso took Basham down with a chinlock and put all his weight behind it. Basham fought to his feet only to run into Ciatso’s knee. The action went back to the mat with Ciatso locking in the chinlock. Basham was close to being counted down when the fans got active and this gave him a rush only to be hit with a slam. Ciatso didn’t listen to Vitale and Cannon’s pleas to NOT go up top. Instead he went second rope and met canvas. Basham hit several clotheslines but his pin was stopped when Vitale & Cannon grabbed the referee. The Redskins coaches got on the apron and Ciatso went to yell at them. This allowed Basham to win via a school boy roll.

(2) Steve Madison defeated Sinn BoDHI.
Bodhi wasn’t happy when Madison grabbed his blue teddy bear and punted it into the fans. Bodhi went after Madison but got hit with several shots to the head and body. Bodhi got out of a waistlock with a cartwheel which Madison mimicked to get the waistlock back on. Bodhi countered but Madison used leverage to dump Bodhi to the floor where the fans made fun of his attire (which needs to be seen in person.) Madison got hit in the gut and the “carnival freak” took over. Madison fought back but got hit with a vicious backchop and a legdrop on the ropes. Bodhi risked the DQ choking Madison with the ropes. Bodhi mocked the fans who called him Kizarny. This allowed Madison time to recover and get his wind back hitting chops and shoulder blocks. Madison went up top but missed a headbutt dive. Bodhi rolled to the floor and got his chair which was covered in a mini bed of nails. He went to drive Madison into it but got hit with an Acecrusher which ended the match. Bodhi was not too pleased and sought out his bear for a chat in private. But the ringside kids tore it to pieces.

Shannon Rose was ready to introduce the next match when “the World’s greatest promoter” Big Daddy JoJo interrupted things. He brought out his man Bobby Buthol who came out with his bodyguard and the duo of Michael Patrick & Mickey McCoy. Buthol wasn’t pleased that he sent the duo to help him wrestle the Shane Twins and he ended up on his ass. He called Patrick & McCoy losers and degenerates. Buthol said he found himself a tag team, Craig Classic & Johnny Vandal. Patrick took exception to the insults laid down and he said they would take on the new duo right now with or without Buthol in the match.

(3) Michael Patrick/Mickey McCoy defeated Johnny Vandal/Craig Classic/Bobby Buthol.
McCoy and Patrick worked over all three men as JoJo protested every single move. The momentum ended when Classic kneed McCoy in the back on a rope run. The trio went to work keeping McCoy as far away from his corner as possible and it worked for several minutes. Classic thought he had the match won with a top rope headbutt but Patrick broke the pin up. Vandal came in with a neckbreaker and Buthol wanted the pinfall but ended up getting two. The trio began toying with McCoy and he made them pay when he decked Classic with a clothesline. This allowed Patrick time to tag in and clear the ring. In the ruckus Buthol was tagged in blind and he was hit with a double atomic knee drop into his bodyguard who was on the ring apron trying to help. There was no help in sight as Buthol was pinned by both men.

(4) Pro Wrestling Fusion Cruiserweight champion Chris Jones defeated former NWA World Jr. Heavyweight champion “Mr. 630″ Jerrelle Clark.
Chain wrestling was on the menu in the opening minutes as both men tried to feel the other out. That ended when Clark was dumped to the floor with some help from Jones who countered out of a hammerlock. Clark tried to do the same to Jones but countered and sent Clark to the floor. Jones went to high fly but landed ringside and his huricurana was blocked and Clark slammed his back into the ring apron. Clark brought the action back to the ring where he blocked a head scissor and he dropped Jones chest first to the mat. Clark followed with an abdominal stretch submission. Jones countered out but his cross body block was countered into a gutbuster. Clark kept the pressure on with body shots and a senton. Clark went to the floor and went for a rope assisted 619 but Jones moved. The action went back to the ring where chest chops were traded but Jones corner whip only met the corner. Clark went for a corner power bomb but Jones countered into a huricurana. Both men fought to their feet where Jones went on the attack with another head scissor which sent Clark to the floor. Jones followed with a tope’ and then went up top in the ring hitting a frog splash for two. Joes and Clark traded forearm shots but Jones hit a blockbuster and a moonsault to get the victory.

(5) Prince Iaukea defeated Nick Primo.
The Antioch fans went into their own heel mode when it was announced Iaukea was part of the Brandon Hawks coaching staff. Primo became the most popular man in the building and he traded armbars and power moves with the former cruiserweight champion. Primo used his speed to keep ahead of Iaukea but that stopped with a kick to the gut and followed by the head. Iaukea hit shoulder blocks to the guy which kept Primo sucking for air. Primo fought back with a side legsweep for two. Primo followed Iaukea to the floor and quickly back to the ring where Iaukea begged for mercy. They traded chest chops and Primo blocked a kick hitting a dragon whip. Iaukea begged the referee to keep Primo back and he did when Iaukea shoved him into Primo. This allowed Iaukea to get in a cheap shot kick. Iaukea kept the focus on the upper body with a suplex and knees to the head. Iaukea went to end it with a chinlock with his knee in the back of Primo for more pressure. Primo fought to his feet but he was suplexed to the ring apron. Primo got back in but was hit with a superkick for two. Both men went up top but Primo sent Iaukea back to the canvas and came off with a bodyblock. Primo kept on the attack with body shots but Iaukea survived and went up top hitting a splash for the win which brought more boos from the crowd.

Before the next match “Classy” Chris Nelson came out to insult the residents of Temple Terrace and Plant City giving mobile home improvement tips. Nelson said tonight he was going to retire “the Iceman.”

(6) “Iceman” Buck Quartermaine defeated “Classy” Chris Nelson.
Nelson used some questionable tactics in the opening minutes claiming he was punched by Quartermaine as the referee wasn’t looking. On the third exchange Quartermaine did punch Nelson, several times followed by a backdrop and shot that sent Nelson to the floor to console himself. Nelson finally came back to the ring and went for an overhand wristlock but when he lost it he claimed his hair was pulled. The Iceman pulled a fast one on Nelson and it was time on the floor once more to figure things out. After some self help tape listening Nelson was ready for action and a test of strength which he lost. Nelson backed Quartermaine to a corner where he changed things with a right hand to the jaw. Nelson went into full rule breaker mode using his wrist tape to choke Quartermaine out. The action went to the floor where Nelson kicked Quartermaine in the ribs and drove them into the ring apron. Nelson tossed Quartermaine back in the ring where he got a two count. Nelson went for a corner splash but instead crotched himself on the second rope. Quartermaine hit the Buck Q shuffle but his top rope trip ended badly when Nelson cut him off. The duo came off with Nelson hitting the mat from a front suplex and Quartermaine hitting a top rope legdrop to win.

(7) Freedom Ryder defeated Pro Wrestling Fusion Florida Heavyweight champion the Sheik (w/Bruiser Bradley) via DQ.
The Sheik’s pre-match prayer ritual was interrupted by a chant of USA. As Sheik tried again Bradley got in Ryder’s face and Sheik used that as chance to attack from behind. The fight went to the floor where Sheik went on the attack with some help from Bradley. They finally came back to the ring where Sheik used the ropes, his boots and Bradley to choke out Ryder. Sheik locked Ryder in a chinlock submission but he refused to tap out. Ryder fought back with a sunset flip for two but got decked with a clothesline by the quicker Sheik who dumped Ryder on the floor where Bradley was waiting with open arms and kicks to the ribs. Once back in the ring Sheik locked in the chinlock but Ryder fought out only to be punched in the forehead. Ryder avoided a corner splash and got a rollup for two only to be hit in the throat with a double chop. Ryder had the title won when he hit a spinebuster but Bradley got the referees attention long enough to get a count. Ryder went hit a suplex and went up top but Bradley grabbed him and the referee had seen enough calling for the bell.
Bradley and Sheik began to beat down when Steve Madison and a folding chair sent them running to the floor. Madison called them out for a tag team matchup right on the stop. Surprisingly the challenged was answered.

(8) Steve Madison/Freedom Ryder defeated Sheik/Bruiser Bradley.
Madison was chased out of the ring by the referee as Sheik & Bradley dragged him to their corner. Ryder tried to fight back and he avoided a backdrop, grabbing Sheik’s head and driving him to the mat. Ryder went for the tag but Madison left the corner to argue with Bradley. When Madison got back Sheik dragged Ryder away towards more punishment. Ryder began dishing out some of his own trading chest chops with Bradley and following with a clothesline. But he couldn’t make the tag as Bradley was closer to his corner. Madison saw an opening and he used it to get Ryder to the corner for the tag. Madison took on both men and after tagging Ryder back in, he clotheslined Bradley to the floor. Ryder only needed a top rope shoulder tackle to finish off the Sheik.

New England Championship Wrestling presented it’s 1st annual NECW TAG TEAM CLASSIC in front of another great crowd at the National Guard Armory in Quincy, MA on Saturday night, Sepetmber 19th.

In a pre-show, “Showcase Challenge Match,” where new talent get the chance to tryout for a spot on the NECW roster, The Great Malaki with def. The Sensational Masked Stretcher.

Antonio “The Promise” Thomas is announced and addresses the crowd. Thomas says he suffered a Grade 3 concussion last month at the hands of “The Natural” Scott Osbourne and “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke and would not be able to wrestle in the main event for the NECW Triple Crown Championship as scheduled. Thomas made a promise to return, though he could not say when.At that point, Thomas was interrupted by a video message from “The Rock God” Brett Adams from his hotel suite in Hollywood. Adams rubbed it in about Thomas being put out of action.

Before Thomas could respond, NECW Tag Team Champions, The Crown Jewels, (“Bad Boy” Jason and “Darling” Damon) came out. Jason said that he suffered a pulled groin (claiming he “slipped on a shell” while modeling underwear at a photo shoot in), and that The Crown Jewels would be unable to participate in a tournament setting. He then announced that his partner, Darling Damon, as one half of the NECW Tag Team Champions and therefore automatically considered a ranked contender for the Triple Crown, would be taking Thomas place in the Triple Crown Championship Match. NECW event producer, “Mad Dog” Matt Storm then came out to confirm that Damon would be taking Thomas’ place and that when Thomas was cleared to return to action, he would automatically be considered the number one contender. Storm added that while The Crown Jewels did produce a doctor’s note that said Bad Boy Jason could not participate in a tournament setting, the champions appearance in the tournament is a mandatory title defence and that The Crown Jewels would indeed defend their titles against the winner of the NECW Tag Team Classic at the end of the night – after Damon wrestles Max Bauer.

In the first opening round match of the TAG TEAM CLASSIC, “The Natural” Scott Osborne and “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke defeated the Canadian duo of Stupefied & Twiggy in an action-packed battle that could have gone either way.

In the second opening round match, “The Epic” Mike Bennett and Guy Alexander took the fall over “The Talent” T.J. Richter & Mr. Munroe.

In the third opening round bout, Mikhail Ivanov and Aleksander Chekov, “The Red Devil Fight Team” made their debut defeating Davey Loomis and Alex Payne.

Then, D.C. Dillinger came out to make an announcement, saying that after BIRTHDAY BASH, everyone wonders where he stands. Dillinger calls out “The Manager of Champions” Sean Gorman and tells him he’s fired. Gorman starts to argue with Dillinger. Finally, Dillinger grabs Gorman by the neck, and “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion rushes in through the crowd. Arion viciously attacks Dillinger with the help of Gorman, who produces a set of handcuffs and locks Dillinger’s wrist to the ring ropes. With only one hand to defend himself and little mobility, Arion resumes his attack with a folding chair. Arion and Gorman start to leave when Dillinger defiantly spits at Arion. Arion and Gorman return to the ring and beat down Dillinger some more. Again, they start to leave, but once again Dillinger spits at Arion. Arion then grabs the ring bell from the timekeeper and nails Dillinger with it in the head. Officials manage to free Dillinger, who gamely refuses assistance and limps to the back.

In the final first round tournament match, Ryan Bisbal and Don Vega (with Ivy, waving a Puerto Rican flag) defeat Canada’s 2.0 (Shane Matthews and Jagged) in another exciting bout.

After intermission, the semi final round took place leading off with, “The Natural” Scott Osborne and “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke going to a double count out against “The Epic” Mike Bennett and Guy Alexander. With both teams eliminated from the tournament, the winner of the second semi-final wins the tournament and faces The Crown Jewels for the titles later that night.

Ryan Bisbal and Don Vega (with Ivy) defeat The Red Devil Fight Team to win the 1st annual NECW Tag Team Classic. Bisbal took a bad fall to the outside during the match, but still managed to pin Ivanov, even while his leg was injured and repeatedly worked on by the Russians.

“The “Enforcer” Max Bauer retained the NECW Triple Crown Championship over “Darling” Damon (with “Bad Boy” Jason).

Pat “The Brat” Piper defeated “Handsome” Johnny (with Sammi Lane) in a Karaoke Battle. Johnny makes the lame excuse that he lost only because he had a cold, so Piper tells Johnny to pick a challenge. Johnny says, “Let’s have a pie-eating contest.” Piper accepts and that will take place next month in Quincy.

The Crown Jewels retained the NECW Tag Team Championship over Ryan Bisbal and Don Vega with Ivy. Vega comes out alone at the start of the match, due to Bisbal’s injury. With Vega getting worn down, Bisbal comes limping out to the ring with Ivy behind. The challengers come back and appear close to taking the victory. At that point, Damon picks up Ivy and starts carrying her offstage, distracting Bisbal. During the resulting commotion, Jason nails Vega from behind and pins him for the victory.

NECW returns to live action Friday, October 23, 2009 in Somerset, MA, and Saturday, October 24, 2009, in Quincy. The Quincy event will be a TV taping.

Pro Wrestling Fusion and NWA Midwest presented “Beach Street Bash” on Saturday night at The Coliseum in Daytona Beach.

In front of a crowd of about 400, PWF started out with two dark matches — the first of which involved the victorious Nick Primo in what was a solid match. The second bout had a lot of chops and hard hitting.

On to the card:

1. Contenders Match: Steve Madison beats Francisco Ciatso in 10 minutes. Featured: Closed fists, Amy Vitale leg sweep interference, diamond cutter. Finish: Rollup after managers interfere. Aftermath: 3-on-1 beatdown by Ciatso, Pete Cannon and Vitale. Madison rallied with a piledriver on Cannon. Thoughts: Madison has a unique look. Ciatso has a strong faction and brings heel heat. Very impressive opener.

2. Tommy Taylor beats 7-foot-1 big man Titan in 6 minutes. Featured: Reverse throwback, over-the-top rope slam. Finish: High-cross body press. Aftermath: Jackknife powerbomb by Titan. Thoughts: Very solid considering what I thought would be a slower match.

3. First Time Woman in Fusion Woman’s Special Attraction: Awesome Kong beats Sumie Sakai in 6 minutes. Pre-match: Kong laid out a Coliseum “security” guy backstage. Sakai was announced at 115 pounds. Kong was announced as “none of your damn business,” which got a pop. Featured: Kong crowd pops, slams, foot stomp on hair pullups, rollups, top rope jumps. Finish: Kong slam. Thoughts: Crowd loved Kong. It was my first time seeing her in person, and she doesn’t disappoint. The undersized Sakai really put on an impressive performance with several “wow” moves.

4. PWF Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion Chris Jones beats TJ Perkins in 13 minutes. Featured: Cruiserweight-type match, frogsplash, throw off top rope, sharpshooter. Finish: Reverse headbuster move off top rope. Thoughts: Not sure if the crowd just wasn’t into this one, or if it was tough following the Kong match, or what. While the action was good, something was missing. I think what surprised me were the slow-down submission moves in a cruiserweight-type match. These guys did both bust their asses, though.

5. First Time Ever Special Challenge Match: Prince Iaukea beats King Kong Fu in 13 minutes. Pre-match: KKF, who wears a gorilla-like mask, danced with the four Fusion Bomb girls — almost a version of the Godfather’s hoes. Featured: Iaukea had a weird dive through the ring ropes upon entering the ring, landing short of KKF’s feet (I think he was supposed to fly into KKF, not sure). Chops, music playing for KKF leading to a dance move in-match. Finish: Insiguri (yes, an insiguri was the finisher). Thoughts: Strong heel heat against Iaukea. KKF is entertaining — you can’t help but like the guy.

6. Dark City Fight Club beats Dagon/SiNN BoDHi (known as Kizarny in WWE) in 9 minutes. Pre-match: SiNN entered with a chair and large pitchfork. The referee pulled out a rubber snake and a large pair of plastic scissors from SiNN’s trunks. Featured: A bizarre upside-down grab by SiNN. Finish: Double drop by DCFC on Dagon. Chants: “Don’t call me that” by SiNN every time a fan yelled out Kizarny. Thoughts: DCFC is a reputable tag team. SiNN is a strong heel, and Dagon has a unique look. I wasn’t disappointed PWF made SiNN’s debut a tag-team match, even though we missed out on The Shane Twins.

7. Florida Heavyweight Title Match: PWF Florida Heavyweight Champion The Sheik beats Too Cold Scorpio in 14 minutes. Featured: Huge heel heat for The Sheik, and average/no over-the-top moves. The referee: Annoying spot where The Sheik pulled out a pencil-type object, it swapped hands to TCS, the referee confiscated it and then realized it was best not to keep it in his pockets. Late spot when the table was brought in also annoyed me, as The Sheik had to slide it in the ring without hitting the laid-out referee. The finish: Very nice table spot, with TCS landing on the table and The Sheik (crowd went overboard on pops). Then, The Sheik quickly recovered and won on a rollup! Thoughts: The table spot saved this match, which was a slower-moving match than previous matches.

Final thoughts: PWF did not disappoint. It had been awhile since I’ve been out to a non-WWE event, and I was entertained for the entire two hours. It’s a damn shame PWF didn’t get more fans out to this event for what was a very impressive night of professional wrestling. Hopefully, PWF’s “Biketoberfest” event (scheduled for Oct. 16 at the Coliseum) will have a better turnout. If you have never seen PWF, I urge you to give it a try Oct. 16. While I haven’t been to a live WWE FCW show yet, from what I’ve seen of FCW on TV, I think PWF is just as good and probably better than the currrent FCW product. Is it on TNA Wrestling’s level? No. But for a minor league promotion — from the wrestlers to announcer Shannon Rose — it does a great job.

JUDAS YOUNG BEATS DANNY INFERNO IN 60 MINUTE CLASSIC, ACE DARLING COMES OUT OF RETIREMENT, CROWBAR IMPRESSES, AND IRON SHEIK GETTING INDUCTED INTO ISPW HALL OF FAME HIGHLIGHTS THIS PAST SATURDAY’S ISPW WAR TO SETTLE THE SCORE CARD IN FREEHOLD, NJ on AUGUST 22nd

After sixty minutes of non-stop back and forth action, Judas Young came out on top at The War To Settle The Score to be crowned the new undisputed ISPW World Heavyweight Champion in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match against “The King of the World” Danny Inferno. Young defeated Inferno 5-4 in one of the most classic matches in the history of independent wrestling. The fans at the ISPW Arena were on the edge of their seats for the entire hour, which saw both Young and Inferno put on the match of their lives.

In a post match interview for The War To Settle The Score’s DVD release, Brian Solomon interviewed the new champion about his match. During this interview, ISPW General Manager “Mr. Personality” Nicholas Nice informed Young not to celebrate too much because he had news for him who his first title defense would be against. When ISPW returns to the ISPW Arena on October 24th in Freehold, NJ for SLAMOWEEN, Young will put his title on the line against “The Detonator” Rick Fuller, who is undefeated in ISPW. This will be a David vs. Goliath battle for the new ISPW World Heavyweight Champion for sure.

ISPW Owner Tommy Fierro and ISPW Hall of Famer “Mr. Main Event” Ace Darling opened up The War To Settle The Score by inducting The Iron Sheik into the ISPW Hall of Fame. Sheik, who was the GM of ISPW several years back, is the second inductee into the ISPW Hall of Fame. Darling was the first to be inducted back at ISPW: The Return in April. Fierro told Darling how much he missed seeing him perform. The ISPW Arena broke out a “one more match” chant. Darling said “never say never” in this business. Sheik thanked everyone and said he was happy to be back in ISPW and in Freehold, NJ.

The red hot tag team of The Logan Brothers defeated “The Escort” Erik Andretti & CK Kross. The Logans continue to prove that they are the hottest tag team in professional wrestling today and are destined to be huge stars in this industry one day.

“The Detonator” Rick Fuller defeated Chase Del Monte in a battle of undefeated ISPW Superstars. Del Monte also continues to impress in every ISPW outing, coming inches away from defeating the unstoppable Fuller.

Crowbar defeated “Big in Japan” Bobby Fish in an unbelievable match. The Pro Wrestling Noah star made a very impressive ISPW debut, but Crowbar came out on top in this one. Crowbar dedicated his victory to “Him” following the match. We still have no idea who “He” is. This is the most impressive Crowbar has looked in several years and is on top of his game in ISPW over the last several months. The highlight of this match saw Crowbar suplex Fish through a guardrail, which got a huge reaction from the ISPW Arena. Crowbar is arguably the most popular wrestler currently at the ISPW Arena, running neck and neck with Judas Young.

Julio Dinero defeated Flash by count out in their first ever meeting which saw New Jersey Devil’s Grant Marshall serve as the special guest timekeeper. Dinero kept heckling Marshall throughout the match, accusing him of wanting his valet Miss Michelle. The finish of this match saw Michelle fall from the ring apron to the arena floor and Flash going outside the ring to check on her. Dinero attacked Flash outside the ring and realized the referee was counting them out. Instead on checking on his valet, he slipped back into the ring to gain the cheap count out victory. Dinero then grabbed Michelle by the arm very tightly and pulled her back to the locker room.

Danny Doring was scheduled to have a Loser Leaves ISPW Match against Christian York next. Doring announced that York never showed up and it was due to the fact that he knew he was going to lose and leave ISPW anyway. Doring said he was dressed in his gear and ready to wrestle. He challenged anyone in the locker room to come out and face him. There was silence in the ISPW Arena for about a minute and then former five-time ISPW World Heavyweight Champion and ISPW Hall of Famer “Mr. Main Event” Ace Darling came out to except the challenge. This marks Darling’s first match in almost a year, as he retired from the wrestling business last October. Darling went on to pick up the victory in this great back and forth match. We here at ISPW are very excited to have “Mr. Main Event” back on our roster. Can Darling reach the levels of success he did years ago in ISPW? Only time will tell.

ISPW General Manager “Mr. Personality” Nicholas Nice was scheduled to finally go one on one with Nunzio at The War To Settle The Score, but that quickly changed. Nice came out with fan favorite Baby Hughie, who he continues to bully around and treat horribly. Nice informed Nunzio that he was turning this match into a tag team match and Hughie was going to be his partner. Nice said he hand picked a partner for Nunzio and introduces “The Midnight Idol” Nicky Benz as Nunzio’s partner. Benz is an ally of Nice’s and it was made very apparent that this was one big set up. The finish of this match saw Benz lay down for his boss. Nunzio didn’t even get the opportunity to get his hands of Nice. The feud between Nice and Nunzio, which started at ISPW: The Return back in April, is far from over.

ISPW returns to the ISPW Arena on Saturday evening, October 24th in Freehold, NJ for SLAMOWEEN. Already signed for the card includes Judas Young defending the ISPW World Heavyweight Championship against Rick Fuller, “Mr. Personality” Nicholas Nice & Baby Hughie & Nicky Benz vs. Nunzio & The Logan Brothers in six man tag team action, and Julio Dinero (with Miss Michelle) vs. Flash in a return match. Other matches will be signed in the upcoming weeks featuring Danny Inferno, Manu, Crowbar, Ace Darling, and all your favorite ISPW Superstars.

Weomen Superstars Uncensored returned to Boonton, NJ this past Saturday night, 8/22 at the Boonton Elks Lodge for two DVD tapings. In front of one of the biggest crowds ever at the Boonton Elks Lodge, the following took place:

WSU DVD Taping One

#1 Spirit Championship Contender Match
Amber d. Roxxie Cotton
After the match, Rick Cataldo ran out to attack Roxxie, as he was upset about losing the rights to the Beatdown Betties name. Annie Social came out to save her Beatdown Betties partner. Social said even though Roxxie has aspirations of winning the Spirit Championship and that both women are focusing on their single careers, the Beatdown Betties always have each others backs. Roxxie said the next time Cataldo and Roxxie square off, it will be a Loser-Leaves-WSU Match.

Amber O’Neal d. Annie Social
Many fans called this the second best match of the night and a show stealer, as the debuting Amber O’Neal tore it up with the always improving and in-your-face Annie Social. These two had a long bout, that O’Neal eventually was able to win. Despite being welcomed to WSU by the WSU faithful, O’Neal blew off the fans.

Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred d. Ariel & Cindy Rogers
In what was supposed to be Havok/Hatred vs Pierce/Morrison, Havok & Hatred came to the ring and said Pierce canceled the match. Havok/Hatred put out an open challenge to anyone who would take them on, as Havok & Hatred said they were the best in the mid-west and came to WSU for the best competition. The returning Cindy Rogers answered the call and accepted the challenge, as Rogers introduced one of her real-life best friends, the debuting Ariel! Ariel said it was great to finally be in WSU and wanted to see what the best in the mid-west were all about.

In a grueling tag team match, Havok/Hatred were able to defeat these two single stars who have held multiple championships during their careers. After the match, Ariel & Rogers shook hands, signaling that despite the loss, the two remain allies in WSU.

Kylie Pierce d. Lea Morrison
Kylie Pierce came out to the ring with Lea and berated her. Pierce was upset that Morrison entered the Spirit Championship last week and snuck that title opportunity spot from her. Pierce said that Morrison was an embarrassment and that it was time for Pierce to teach her a lesson.

Pierce soundly defeated Morrison in a match that saw the teacher humiliate the student. Morrison’s confidence looks to have been broken by Pierce.

WSU Spirit Championship Match
(c) Latasha d. Jana
In a wild brawl, this feud that has been going on for nearly a year, saw these two brawl into the streets of Boonton. These two tore each other up and spent more time out of the ring than in it! Eventually Latasha, who has been on the losing end of this feud as of late, was able to pin Jana out of no-where. Jana flipped out after the match and it looks like we haven’t even scratched the surface between these two!

WSU Tag Team Championship Match
(c) Brooke Carter & Alicia d. Rain & Angel Orsini via DQ
In another intense and electrifying match, these two teams went at it tooth and nail. However, when the referee was knocked down by Rain, Rain wanted to take a short-cut and wanted her new employee, Angel Orsini, to do the dirty work. Orsini was handed a chair by Rain to blast Brooke Carter with, but Orsini refused to do it, having a new found respect for Carter after their recent battles in August. Rain flipped out that Orsini wasn’t listening and taking her orders, so she grabbed the chair and destroyed Brooke with it. Unfortunately for Rain, the referee saw Rain use the chair and DQ’d Rain & Orsini. Rain went ballistic and if you weren’t there, you will want to see the DVD for Rains post-match reaction where she went bonkers.

Missy Hyatt hosted the latest “MISSY’s MANOR”, which featured the Wedding Shower of Rick Cataldo & Sean Hanson. As you can imagine, this got class-less real fast. Both exchanged gifts and Hanson even gave himself a gift- a bottle of sugary and feminine “Twizted Tea” which made the crowd chant alcoholic. Hanson announced that Cataldo/Cotton was official for the next show in a loser-leaves-WSU match. Hanson then changed the subject and said that even though he has had women in the northeast and New England areas, and perhaps even created a little mischief in his life, it was his father who was a homosexual, which in turn gave Hanson his homosexual genes. Hanson said that he’s given into his homosexual urges and said it was finally time to give the fans what they wanted, by allowing the fans to watch them make out for the first time. This led to Missy Sampson coming out. Sampson said after what she went through this week (her father passed away) Hanson had s ome fucking balls to come out and say what he said. Missy said while Cotton/Cataldo was booked to be a loser-leaves match, there was another Loser-Leaves-WSU Match booked for the second taping, and announced that it would be Missy Sampson vs Sean Hanson, much to the delight of the crowd! Sampson said she was going to give Hanson a taste of what’s to come, but before she attacked Hanson, Sampson put on the Big Van Missy mask to a huge reaction, which led to Cataldo & Hanson getting out of Dodge!

WSU World Championship Match
No Time-Limit Match
(c) Mercedes Martinez d. Nikki Roxx at the 35 Minute Mark
Mercedes Martinez is laying claim as being the best WSU World Champion of all-time. Coming off a historic 70 minute Iron-Woman match with Angel Orsini on 6/6, Martinez was pushed to the limit by Nikki Roxx here. This match was incredible, as both of these women know each other. After wrestling to a draw on 8/8, this match was made a No-Time Limit match to ensure there would be a winner.

This match saw counter after counter. We actually saw Martinez use Roxx’s BARBIE CRUSHER finisher on Roxx for a near-fall, which Roxx countered with by hitting Martinez’s signature BRAINBUSTER on Martinez for a near fall. However, after 35 minutes, Roxx got caught on the top rope. Martinez quickly saw the situation at hand and brainbustered Roxx from the top rope for the 1-2-3, which brought every fan to their feet. Another womens Match of the Year Candidate.

After the match, Rain & Orsini came out and attacked both Roxx & Martinez. Rain & Orsini beat both down, as Rain made it clear she wants the WSU Championship at any cost. However, Roxx & Martinez were able to fight them off. Martinez & Roxx then challenged Orsini/Rain to a tag team match at the second DVD taping. The war of words were fiery here and if you want pure emotion, unbridled fury and just maniacal rage, you will want to see what these two teams said to each other.

After a brief intermission, WSU returned with the second half of the show, with another DVD taping.

Jennifer Cruz d. Jana
In what may be the biggest upset in WSU all year, Cruz defeated perennial title contender, Jana in the middle of the ring. In Jana’s defense, Jana who previously defeated three women last week in the Spirit Championship Tournament with her Jana-Vice, had Cruz locked in the Jana Vice. That is when Latasha came out. Latasha distracted Jana, and Jana broke the hold, allowing Cruz to roll-up Jane from behind! Jana went completely bezerk after the match and it looks like that now Latasha is in Jana’s head as the tables have been turned in this feud.

Winner Guaranteed A Spirit Championship Match
Fatal Four Way Elimination Match
Ariel d. Kylie Pierce, Lea Morrison & Annie Social
The frustration between Pierce & Morrison reached a fever pitch in this match, when Morrison refused to lie down for Pierce. These two went at it hard in this match. Pierce was able to eliminate Annie Social by hook & crook, but then Morrison was able to defeat Pierce, in what set Pierce off big-time! Pierce attacked Morrison after being eliminated, which allowed Ariel, who said after the match that she didn’t want to win the match this way, to pick up the scraps.

Amber O’Neal d. Cindy Rogers
It seems that making a “fucking splash” in WSU would be an understatement for Amber O’Neal. After having a show-stealing match with Annie Social, these two turned it up and had a classic see-saw battle of a match. In the end Amber was able to get by Rogers, who some have speculated may have a bit ring-rust.

WSU Spirit Championship Match
(c) Latasha d. Amber
Latasha went 2-0 on 8/22 and was able to continue her reign as Spirit Champion by defeating Amber in a hard-fought match. However, backstage WSU cameras caught Jana attacking Latasha as soon as Latasha got behind the curtain! Jana destroyed Latasha and left Latasha laying in bloody heap. While Latasha may have found it funny to laugh at Jana for losing to Jennifer Cruz earlier in the night, Jana made sure that Latasha wouldn’t have last laugh.

LOSER LEAVES WSU MATCH
Rick Cataldo d. Roxxie Cotton
In a match that has to be seen to be believed, Cataldo used his bag of tricks (and Hanson) to get by Cotton. Where Cotton goes from here is unknown. Cotton looked dejected after the match, perhaps realizing she would have to settle going to weaker places where the competition isn’t that high as WSU. However, there were rumblings that Cotton planned on protesting to WSU considering Cataldo didn’t wrestle the match fair & square.

While celebrating Cataldo’s win, Big Van Missy ran out and we had our impromptu

LOSER LEAVES WSU MATCH
Big Van Missy d. Sean Hanson in less than 2 minutes
This was a complete kill-job as Big Van Missy dedicated this match to her recently deceased father. Missy destroyed Hanson and WSU fans finally got their wish – Sean Hanson will never wrestle in a WSU ring again!

Big Van Missy celebrated her win in the ring and what happened next was one of the most disgusting, humiliating and classless acts we’ve ever seen. Typing this up does not give you the proper image of what happened which is why we encourage you to see the DVD if you weren’t there.

Havok & Hatred came out and beat Big Van Missy to near-death. That is not an exaggeration or wrestling hyperbole. Havok & Hatred said they would fucking beat Missy Sampson to death so she could join her dead father. That wasn’t even the worst of what they said, but in respect to Sampson and her recently deceased feather, we will not recap any more of what was said, only to say if you want to see why Havok & Hatred became the most hated people in WSU overnight, then get the DVD.

Not satisfied by hospitalizing Missy Sampson, Havok & Hatred turned their verbal assault onto Alicia & Brooke Carter. Havok & Hatred said Alicia will regret that she ever came out of retirement and called Carter a “rat”. Clearly, Havok & Hatred crossed the line and have no respect for anyone. Despite being new comers to WSU, Havok & Hatred have made it clear that they will step on the throats and stab anyone in the back if it satisfies them.

WSU Tag Team Match
Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred d. (c) Alicia & Brooke Carter to become NEW WSU Tag Team Champions
In a hard-hitting and fiercely fought war, Havok & Hatred were able to beat the champions to win the championships. WSU has never seen a team like Havok/Hatred and after their actions on 8/22, they will become number 1 targets for many WSU stars. Carter was also purposely injured by Havok/Hatred during the match as Havok/Hatred have no respect or care in the world for anyone. One thing is for sure, on 10/3, Alicia & Carter will be amped up like never before when they take on Havok/Hatred in a rematch.

MAIN EVENT
Angel Orsini & Rain d. Nikki Roxx & WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez
This was another dramatic match with many twists and turns, as a big story was told by the “Top 4″ in WSU. After 20 minutes, we saw Martinez going for a clothesline on Rain, only for Rain to duck the move and Roxx to be hit out of it. With Roxx on the floor and Martinez temporarily startled, Rain capitalized and hit her patented implant DDT for the clean 1-2-3 on the WSU World Champion. This is the first time Martinez has been cleanly pinned in competition in her championship reign.

After the match, Orsini & Rain slowly watched the ring from the floor, as they knew that the best, in their minds, was yet to come. Roxx and Martinez got to their feet, with Roxx helping Martinez, as earlier we saw Martinez help Roxx to her feet. However, Roxx had other plans and destroyed Martinez with a barbie crusher! Orsini & Rain hit the ring, and Rain beat up Martinez some more.

Rain introduced the newest stable in WSU, herself/Orsini/Roxx, clearly a group that no one could match power with, as Roxx has become Rain’s latest employee. Rain said what the three have in common was that all three of them have been on/wrestled on TV, while Martinez just watches them on TV.

Rain told Orsini to finally destroy Martinez once and for all. Rain handed Orsini a steel chair, a chair Orsini would not use earlier in the show. Rain told Orsini to fucking do it now. Orsini was handed the chair, but instead of blasting Martinez, Rain got smashed with the chair! Orsini then went head hunting on Nikki Roxx and Roxx left the ring.

With Roxx/Rain on the floor, Orsini helped Martinez up. Orsini then cut one of the most intense and realisitic speeches we’ve ever heard in WSU. MUST SEE DVD!

Orsini said that she built the WSU Championship up and while she knows she can’t get a shot at Martinez due to the Ironwoman match stipulation, she’d rather see a fighting champion than a cunt like Rain with the belt. Orsini said the WSU Championship is the most important championship in womens wrestling today and could not go thru with being Rain’s employee and seeing the belt treated as a prop or as a toy.

Orsini said that despite everything Martinez and herself have gone thru, Orsini has all the respect for Martinez in the world and more importantly respects the WSU World Championship and what that belt means. Orsini said she didn’t kill herself, giving up a year of her life as champion to see someone like Rain walk in and just try to weasel her way in as champion.

Martinez then grabbed the mic and backed up Orsini, giving a fiery speech about the WSU World Title and what it represents. Martinez says she knows Roxx is booked all over the world these days since she’s left TNA, but only in WSU will Roxx get the beating of her life. Martinez challenged Roxx to a match anywhere anytime, whether it’s on 10/3, at NWS, at ACE, CZW or wherever.

Orsini challenged Rain to a match on 10/3. Orsini made it clear that she’s beaten Rain before (Finals of 2009 J-Cup Tournament) and now will rip Rain from limb-to-limb.

As the show was coming to a close, and with Roxx/Rain in the back, the entire WSU locker room, sans Rain/Roxx, came to the ring with a birthday cake for Angel Orsini. Orsini, who’s 29th birthday is in two days (She says she’s 29, and WSUWrestling.com didn’t have the stones to challenge her on that claim, as we did not want the “Kiss of Death”) was sung happy birthday by WSU fans and the wrestlers.

WSU returns on 10/3 with the following announced:
Angel Orsini vs Rain
Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred vs Alicia & Brooke Carter
More matches to be announced soon!
Also appearing: Mercedes Martinez, Malia Hosaka, Jana, Latasha, Jennifer Cruz & more!

PWO WRESTLELUTION 2: A COMING OF AGE, AN END OF AN ERA

On Sunday afternoon, August 9, Pro Wrestling Ohio returned to the Nautica Pavilion with the second installment of its signature event, “PWO Wrestlelution 2: A Coming of Age”. A loud and raucous crowd of nearly 1500 fans packed the Pavilion to see one year of hostility and emotion unleashed in a single afternoon to see the stars of PWO raise the bar once again and reach a personal and collective coming of age.

In the main event, it was teacher vs. student as PWO Champion Josh Prohibition defended his championship against his long-time protégé and best friend, Johnny Gargano, who had broken from him due to Josh’s selfishness and greed. This bout was No Disqualification and will go down as one of the wildest matches in the history of wrestling in the area. For over 28 minutes, Gargano and Prohibition relentlessly punished one another – chairs, tables, guardrails – every weapon they could find was used with sick and malicious intent. Livelihoods were risked with breathtaking chances, including Prohibition being dropped 15 feet from a stage and Gargano’s majestic leap from a 25 foot balcony. The crowd was standing in awe at the brutality and emotion involved, as Gargano finished Prohibition with Josh’s own signature maneuver – The Drunken Driver – onto a table for a much deserved victory. Gargano celebrated his newfound reign as PWO Champion, and the biggest win of his career, as Josh Prohibition stood in the ring delivering an emotional, and heartfelt speech, as the most hated man in Pro Wrestling Ohio history seemingly used this heartbreaking loss to say goodbye. Gargano and Prohibition’s careers and lives were both changed forever as a result of this match. In two very different impactful ways, both of these men truly have reached a coming of age.

New PWO Tag Team Champions were also crowned as The Clash, Ernie Ballz & Brian Bender, defeated the feel-good legendary tag team of Greg “The Hammer” Valentine & Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart to claim the titles. Valentine had been injured the night before, in an alleged rumored incident involving himself and The Clash, leaving Neidhart to fend nearly by himself, with Valentine offering whatever physical and moral support he could from the outside. However, The Clash took advantage of their own handy work, stealing Valentine’s crutch and using it as an illegal weapon on Neidhart to steal the victory and the championships.

Three time NFL Pro-Bowler, and Saved By The Bell star and XFL commentator, Bob Golic served as special guest ring announcer for the cocky Mike Tolar’s battle with “Innovator of Aerial Insanity” M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross. Tolar, who frequently objects to his introductions by regular ring announcer Pedro DeLuca, took similar issue with Golic. Tolar ordered Golic to re-do it, but received a very unflattering intro for his trouble. Golic proudly introduced Cross to begin the battle of Tolar’s mat credentials and Cross’ gymnastics background. Though Tolar, in the eyes of most, failed to prove his undisputed superiority to Cross, he did in fact pick up the victory, through the help of the distraction caused by Ben Fruith & EJ Georgio, Tolar’s hapless lackeys he has brainwashed and manipulated. Tolar picked up the win in this Championship Contender’s match, making him a prime suspect for a PWO Championship opportunity sooner rather than later.

Jason Bane & Hobo Joe survived the “hit list” of Aaron Maguire and his hired thugs, Mickey & Marshall Gambino in a wild weapons-filled Dumpster Match. All four men brawled all over ringside, utilizing trash cans, kendo sticks, and even thumbtacks. For The Gambinos, it was strictly business, all about getting the job done. For Bane & Hobo it was personal, fighting for their careers, their health, and the personal hardship caused to them by Aaron Maguire. Bane & Hobo were able to place both members of The Gambino Family into the dumpster, then place Aaron on top for good measure, and push the dumpster past the red line located in the entranceway to pick up the victory.

The Snowman Cometh to PWO as Al Snow made his Pro Wrestling Ohio debut to fight for the honor of Ohio against the Michigan elitist “Amazing” N8 Mattson. Mattson was quick to once again proclaim the superiority of his home state, and do a great deal of damage to Snow, despite it being Mattson’s first match back from serious ankle surgery. However, Snow channeled the strength and confidence he gains from his trusty sidekick Head to help lead him onto victory.

“Omega” Aaron Draven became the first-ever PWO Television Champion, surviving three tough adversaries in “Big Bear” Benjamin Boone, Virus, and Super Hentai. Draven, still badling a badly injured back and ribs, came into battle less than 100% and was re-injured early when he missed a dive to the outside, landing ribs first on the unprotected concrete floor. As staff led Draven to medical help in the back, the battle waged on with the two masked marvels doing their best to tame the big bear. Miraculously, Draven sucked up the pain and returned to battle, and refusing to back down. The risk taker and thrill seeker may have taken time off of his career but on this night, his guts and determination paid off on this night, as a tornado DDT to Virus led to the three-count and PWO’s consummate underdog achieving a major career milestone. However, with a long list of contenders already lining up, and Draven still battling through injury, how long can Omega survive?

Matthew Justice overcame “Bloody” Morty Rackem in a relaxed “Pirate Rules” match-up. Rackem spent the majority of the match punishing his former tag partner, with both a leather belt, and the steel-studded belt we had seen as the focal point of the Pirate Justice friction for a number of months. Rackem attempted to teach Justice a lesson, however unfortunately for Rackem, Justice learned that lesson at the exact wrong time for the swashbuckling superstar. Once Justice was able to battle free from Rackem’s abuse, he discovered Rackem’s steel-studded belt on the canvas. After the months of abuse, berating, and the physical assault of a few weeks ago, Matthew Justice finally used the weapon Morty had spent months telling him to use — though he used it on Morty. Justice choked Rackem out, much as Morty had done to him, depriving him of oxygen. Rackem had passed out, was unable to continue, and Matthew Justice, brings his own brand of justice to his former tag partner.

Sex Appeal scored a big-time victory over Marion Fontaine, Noj the Wild Samoan, and Gregory Iron (subbing for Kid Cupid, reportedly recovering from a “broken heart”) in a six-man tag team encounter. Fontaine & company had a unique entourage, as not only were they joined by Cupid, but also by Oscar, the former manager of Men on a Mission in the WWF in the mid-1990s, who rapped the team to the ring. Sex Appeal as always, were joined by the devilish Dawn Decadence. Bobby Shields, Bobby Beverly, and newcomer Nicki Valentino showed that while beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, victory lies with Sex Appeal, as the narcissistic trio pick up the win.

The double-tough Hailey Hatred emerged victorious over Eric Ryan’s hand-picked opponent for her, internationally traveled Portia Perez. Hatred survived a tough battle, and then was met face-to-face with Ryan, whom Hatred taught a very physical lesson to as well. Hailey Hatred, not only proved Eric Ryan wrong, but solidified herself as one of PWO’s toughest athletes of any gender.

Irish Airborne, Dave & Jake Crist, teamed for the first time in PWO, emerging victorious over upstart team Eric Ryan & Corey Winters. It was a battle showcasing two hungry teams, and what may be a sign to come for the future of tag team wrestling in Pro Wrestling Ohio.

National Wrestling Superstars & Women Superstars Uncensored ”Spirit” Results From Belleville, NJ 8/14: A New WSU Spirit Champion Crowned, An Old NWS Champion Returns To Action, A Six-Woman “Golden” Tag-Team Match With WSU Champions And Contenders, Former WWE “Oddity” The Giant Silva Plays “Gulliver’s Travels” With Four Smaller Opponents, And Much More

National Wrestling Superstars and Womens Superstars Uncensored teamed up on Friday night August 14th at the Belleville, NJ Knights of Columbus Hall for a unique joint show entitled “Spirit”, as the centerpiece of the show would be the crowning of the first ever WSU Spirit Champion. The Belleville area fans demonstrated plenty of spirit of their own, as an energetic near-capacity crowd filled all four sides and corners of the Hall to watch two of the northeast’s most popular wrestling promotions put on another hot summer show

In a pre-show “dark match”, “The Diva” Rick Cataldo (with Sean “Ref” Hanson) defeated luchador Manuel Manny Moore. Manuel was clearly the better wrestler, but with Hanson watching Cataldo’s back (which he obviously seemed accustomed to doing) and providing outside interference, he ended up outnumbered, and Cataldo won after reversing a rollup attempt by Manuel and holding onto a handful of tights (a move he was no doubt well-practiced in) for the pinfall.

NWS Ring Announcer Johnny Falco opened the show by introducing the new WSU Spirit Championship belt, describing the title as recognizing the competitive spirit of the up-and-comers and future champions in WSU. He explained the rules: Six ladies will compete in three one-on-one first round matches with ten-minute time limits each, with the three winners going on to compete in a triple-threat elimination match for the title.

In First Round Match #1, Jana defeated Jennifer Cruz by submission. Jana (who refused to be called “Princess”) claimed that this entire tournament was a waste of time, they should just hand the belt directly to her. Up and comer Cruz was not willing to concede so quickly, and put up a good fight, but the power and experience of Jana was too much, and Jana was evetually able to slap on the JanaVice submission hold and Cruz tapped out.

Before the next match, NWS Ring Announcer Johnny Falco introduced former NWS Heavyweight Championand Belleville area native son, now officially retired, Vicious Vinny. Vinny had asked for this ring time to thank his hometown fans for supporting him during his eleven-year career. Then from out of the back came “The Cold-Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto, who taunted Vinny for running away scared after losing the Heavyweight Championship, and reminded Vinny that the last time they were in Belleville, he beat Vinny senseless and sent him out on a stretcher. Vinny in turn reminded Danny how he tore him apart in their steel cage rematch in Bloomfield. The two seemed about to come to blows when Commissioner Gino Moore ordered them separated, and informed Demanto that he had an open contract for a main event match tonight, and introduced his opponent… One Warrior Nation. Warrior and Demanto stood nose to nose before being separated and returning to the locker room.

In First Round Match #2, Latasha defeated Lea Morrison. The two bitter rivals began their brawl outside in the parking lot before the match even started, and their fight spilled through the front door and finally into the ring, where they brawled for several more minutes before Latasha put Lea down for good with a pair of facebusters followed by the 1-2-3. Latasha’s victory celebration was interrupted by her former partner and now bitter rival Jana, who attacked Latasha with a wooden cane in the ring before officials could separate the two.

In First Round Match #3, Roxxie Cotton and Amber fought to a time-limit draw. This match was referee’d by NWS Junior Heavyweight Champion Nicky Oceans, his first time officiating a wrestling match (and it showed). The two feisty young ladies fought a seesaw battle for the full ten minutes. When the bell rang and the match was declared a draw, Commissioner Moore announced that neither of the two deserved to be eliminated from the tournament, and the Final Match would now be a fatal four-way elimination match with Jana, Latasha, Roxxie, and Amber.

In a tag-team match, the undefeated Nigerian Nightmares (with managers “Voodoo Princess” Sheeta & Iraq’s King Ran-sid Akhbar Idu Stinq) defeated B. Fehrm & Sonny Boy Gulano. To call this a “match” would be generous, as the 350-pound Nightmares literally flattened their two smaller rookie opponents, eventually catching Fehrm in a Nigerian Sandwich and flattening him with a Leg Roll Drop before mercifully pinning him for the three-count.

In a six-woman WSU “golden” tag-team match, former ECW Women’s Champion Angel Orsini & Jessicka Havok & Hailey Hatred defeated the championship trio of WSU World Champion “The Latina Sensation” Mercedes Martinez & WSU Tag-Team Champions Brooke Carter & Alicia. For nearly twenty minutes, the fans were treated to an exciting back and forth match between six of WSU’s top stars. The end came as all six women were brawling in and out of the ring, Angel caught Brooke in her “Kiss of Death” finisher for the 1-2-3. Not content with the victory, Havok and Hatred continued the attack on Brooke until Mercedes returned to the ring with a chair to chase them to the side. Mercedes claimed she could fight just as dirty as them, only ten times better, and challenged both Hatred and Havok to a two-on-one title match at NWS & WSU’s next joint event in Union, NJ next Friday. Havok and Hatred agreed, and both attacked Mercedes before the combatants were separated by officials.

In a unique “Gullivers Travels” Match, former WWE star and Oddities member The Giant Silva defeated the foursome of J.D. Smoothie & “The Jersey Jobber” J.P. Pierce & The Soul Assassin & The Illegal Outer Space Alien. The object of the match was for the four “Lilliputians” to try and pin Silva inside a giant fishnet. Nicky Oceans referee’d this match as well, but was little more effective as a referee than the four smaller wrestlers were at trying to defeat Silva. The foursome did manage to all together clothesline Silva out of the ring at one point, but otherwise had little success at getting Silva down, much less to a point where he could be pinned inside the net. Eventually, Silva flattened this opposition and wrapped a semi-conscious Smoothie in the fishnet himself and carried him to the back.

In the fatal four-way elimination Final Match, Latasha defeated Jana, Roxxie Cotton, and Amber to be crowned WSU’s first ever Spirit Champion. Jana had the strength and experience advantage early on, and it looked like she was going to make good on her promise, as she first eliminated Roxxie by submission with the JanaVice, and then a few minutes later did the same to Amber. But Latasha had no intention of knuckling under to her former partner, and withstood Jana’s brawling and eventually hit a brainbuster on her to pin her 1-2-3. As Jana tried to attack Latasha post-match, she was held back by the officials, and Latasha challenged Jana to a one-on-one match in her first title defense at WSU’s event in Boonton, NJ next Saturday.

In the other half of the main event, One Warrior Nation vs. “The Cold-Hearted Playa” Danny Demanto never happened, as Vicious Vinny snuck into the ring and knocked Demanto out cold with a steel chair. Vinny then ripped off his street clothes to reveal his wrestling tights underneath, and demanded that he have just his one-on-one match with Warrior (which had been signed in Kearny in April before Vinny had announced his retirement). Commissioner Moore reminded Vinny that he was officially retired and could not simply have a one-match appearance, and asked if were truly coming out of retirement. Vinny said that if that’s what it takes to get the match, then he’s back in.

In the revised main event, One Warrior Nation vs. Vicious Vinny was declared a no-contest after outside interference. The two power wrestlers put on a hard-hitting intense match that was all over the ring, spilled out onto the floor, and even battled to the back for a few minutes before the officials brought them back to the ring. Despite Warrior leveling Vinny with his flying tackle and other power moves, the former champion roared back and put down Warrior with the Vinnybomb. Before Vinny could get the pinfall, Danny Demanto and The Nigerian Nightmares hit the ring and attacked Vinny three-on-one. Warrior eventually got back to his feet and he and Vinny managed to overpower Demanto and The Nightmares before the officials got control of the ring and declared the match a no-contest. Vinny challenged Demanto and The Nightmares to a match against him and The Warrior when NWS returns to Belleville in November. When Commissioner Moore pointed out that was a two-on-three challenge, Vinny laughed and pointed to The Giant Silva, who had come out during the post-match brawl to even the odds, as their third team member. Despite Demanto’s objections, Commissioner Moore was only too happy to sign the match. Vinny also announced that they would have a manager of their own that night, Jersey City’s own Officer Ace.

NWS returns to action next weekend with a double-shot beginning Friday night August 21st in Union, NJ with an encore appearance by The Giant Silva and the former ECW Zombie, followed by Saturday night August 22nd in Basking Ridge, NJ featuring WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka. Follow NWS on the Web at www.nwswrestling.com.

WSU returns with its next double show and DVD taping on Saturday night August 22nd in Boonton, NJ, featuring WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez vs. former TNA star Nikki Roxx.

A sold out crowd witnessed a historic event as New England Championship Wrestling celebrated its 9th anniversary with BIRTHDAY BASH 9: RAGE IN A CAGE at the National Guard Armory in Quincy, MA, this past Saturday night, August 8th.

Ring announcer, Chris Norman introduced the entire NECW locker room who surrounded the ring. Then, NECW ownership came out to announce the appointment of the first general manager in company history in former WWE/ECW referee and former New England promoter for the original ECW, Paul Richard. Richard hyped up the fans and then announced NECW President Sheldon Goldberg, who dedicated the night’s event to all of the company’s fans. Goldberg introduced a video announcement which was shown on the tron. The fans erupted as they saw NECW’s historic announcement – the signing of a television deal with Comcast SportsNet New England, with a weekly one hour broadcast to air Fridays at 4pm EST starting January 8, 2010.

In the opening contest, “The Heat” Kris Pyro countered NECW Television Champion “Superstar” Ryan Matthews’ Codebreaker attempt to a roll-up to score the pin fall and win the NECW Television Championship. Matthews’ grandfather “The Sports Illustrated Legend” Robbie Ellis was barred from the building for this rematch.

“The Talent” TJ Richter and “The Man No One Can Slam” Mr. Munroe came to the ring for Richter’s match. Richter again challenged the crowd about his body slam challenge. A surprising contender in NECW Ring Announcer, Chris Norman, attempted the slam to the huge cheers of the Quincy faithful. Unfortunately, “Stormin’” Norman was added to the list of those who tried and failed. Norman then brought out Richter’s opponent, “The Upset Kid” Nick Westgate. Westgate lived up to his moniker by pinning Richter with a flying schoolboy pin. Post match, Mr. Munroe grabbed Westgate in a brutal front face lock, swinging him around by the neck and then tossing him like a rag doll over his head. Westgate had to leave the ring with assistance of NECW officials.

In a mixed tag team challenge, Handsome Johnny’s tandem of “Sensational” Scott Levesque and Sammi Lane faced off with Puerto Rican stars Ryan Bisbal and Ivy. All four looked great in this match, with Ivy making a huge impression in her NECW in-ring debut. As the referee was distracted, watching Bisbal and Levesque, Handsome threw Sammi Lane her new Teddy Bear “Hugs”, which she blasted Ivy with. Ivy dropped to the canvas out cold. Sammi easily scored the pin fall after this. It took Ivy a few minutes to really come back to her senses after the match.

The next match was for the World Women’s Wrestling Championship. Reigning champion “The Portuguese Princess” Ariel, with Brendan Michael Thomas defended the coveted red and gold belt against the woman she defeated for the title well over a year ago, Alexxis Nevaeh. Alexxis was able to counter the Dariel into a small package which rolled around the ring as the two tried to score the fall. In the end, Nevaeh was able to hold the pin and regain the World Women’s Wrestling Championship, becoming the first two-time champion in the title’s history. After the match, BMT attempted to super kick Alexxis in anger, but she was able to duck and instead gave her own kick to the lower region of the “Prince of Pink”.

In a triple threat match, the 2009 IRON 8 Champion, Antonio “The Promise” Thomas, faced off with “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke and “The Natural” Scott Osbourne, with his manager “Rock God” Brett Adams. Thomas was able to overcome the onslaught of this duo to pin Osbourne and win the match. After the bell, Adams stated that while Thomas might have won the battle, the war had just begun and pointed to the entranceway announcing his newest client. As “The Promise” called out whomever this new client was, Brandon Locke snuck in from behind delivering a Lockedown. Then joined by Osbourne, Locke began to assault Thomas urged on by the “Rock God”. Adams then announced henceforth that the two would be known as “Real Natural”.

Next was a special Pat’s Pit segment. Pat “The Brat” Piper called out his rival Handsome Johnny, who came out with Sammi Lane. The segment quickly broke down to a contest of “Yo Momma” jokes. (yes, Yo Momma jokes). Piper schooled Handsome Johnny, who claimed he was only bested because he wasn’t prepared. The two agreed to have a rematch, this time in a karaoke-off on September 19th, much to the dismay of Lane.

In a rematch for the NECW Tag Team Championship, the reigning champions The Crown Jewels with “Mr. Fabulous” Tony Ulysses, defended against the team of Davey Loomis and Alex Payne. This time around, Payne and Loomis showed more continuity and gelled as a team. It appeared they had the title won, when Ulysses pulled referee Vinnie Lax from the ring to break up a pin attempt. Lax berated “Mr. Fabulous” and was met by a monumental lip lock! Disgusted, Lax disqualified the Jewels, awarding the match to the challengers, but leaving The Crown Jewels as the NECW Tag Team Champions.

While the steel cage was being set up, NECW Co-Owners Matt & Kyle Storm came to talk to the fans about a new signature NECW event debuting September 19 in Quincy – the 1st Annual NECW Tag Team Classic. This 8-team, single-elimination tournament would feature the NECW Tag Team Champions The Crown Jewels, with the titles on the line throughout the tournament. Also in the event would be Canada’s 2.0, the team of Battletoad (Stupefied & Bash Bison) also from Canada, “The Epic” Mike Bennett & Guy Alexander, and TJ Richter & Mr. Munroe. 3 more teams will be announced.

In the main event for the NECW Triple Crown Championship, a Steel Cage match where pin falls, submissions, or escaping the cage could be used to win, reigning and defending champion “The Enforcer” Max Bauer faced off with top contender “The Golden Greek” Alex Arion with manager Sean Gorman. Special guest referee for the match was former NECW Triple Crown Champion and 4-time NECW Tag Team Champion, DC DIllinger. The brutal cage match featured Arion getting brutalized by Bauer, until Arion was able to find a break and hit the champion with a low blow. The match raged on with both men seemingly refusing to win the match and instead trying to end the career of their opponent. Arion delivered three top tope splashes to Bauer, but was still unable to score the pin. Bauer countered with a number of “Enforcer Bomb” Fireman’s Carry face busters, again to no avail. Sean Gorman then tried to scale the cage to hand a chain to Alex Arion to use as a weapon, but was met at the top by DC Dillinger, a man he had managed to so many titles. Dillinger seemed on the same page with Gorman, until he instead blasted him with a big right hand dropping Gorman some 12 feet to the floor on to officials and referees. Arion was then able to use the chain, knocking out Bauer. “The Golden Greek” then began to make the slow climb over the top of the cage, but as he got to the top, “The Enforcer” sprung to life and met him. The two exchanged punches 15 feet above the fans, when Bauer stopped Arion and threw him on his shoulders delivering his Enforcer Bomb from the top of the cage for the pin fall and the win, retaining his championship and ending the 12-moth feud.

NECW returns to the National Guard Armory in Quincy, MA for the 1st annual NECW Tag Team Classic on Saturday night, September 19th with a 7 PM bell time. Tickets will be on sale Thursday, August 13th online at NECWwrestling.com, KC’s Sports Cards, 33 Temple Street, Quincy Center, MA or by calling 1-800-838-3006.
