By Nikhil Kalhan
http://www.inyourheadonline.com
Jack and the OneInchBiceps were joined by a very special guest tonight: non other then “Mr Wrestlemania”, ”The Showstopper, The Heart-Break Kid” and now WWE’s first inductee to the Hall of Fame, class of 2011 Shawn Michaels.
Jack welcomed such a honorable guest to the show and Shawn Michaels was happy to be here. The first question Jack asked how did it feel to be the first inductee into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame? Shawn goes it was very flattering and after Jim Ross used to mention on commentary so many times “first ballot hall of famer for sure”, when you are done with the business and if they don’t put you in straightaway they might not like you but if not then you have done something very well. Shawn goes he’s not sure if he earned it or it was pushed by the WWE, Jack said he definitely earned it.

It takes a lot of time and energy to maintain a website as big as Online World of Wrestling, not to mention the pressure of deadlines and real life around the corner. Our efforts to promote wrestling events and the amazing performers in the ring have grown by leaps and bounds over the years. At this time, we are asking that you look inside yourself and find it in your hearts to send in whatever you feel is appropriate to compensate the OWW staff for their time and efforts in helping to give the wrestling industry so much exposure over the years. We can accept financial donations via pay pal or by mail, or you may chose to donate merchandise such as wrestling books, wrestling DVDs, autographed photos of yourselves, or compilations tapes of your matches. Just a little something to say thanks for everything OWW has to offer the World of professional wrestling. To all the wrestlers out there who are profiled on OWW or who soon be profiled, thank you very much for your hard work and dedication and we hope we can continue promoting everyone forever and ever — to find out how you can help, email oww@onlineworldofwrestling.com today!

HBK Going the Distance
Originally published on January 15, 2005

Going the distance. Having recently seen Rocky I for the first time, it is this author’s opinion that the phrase accurately sums up the meteoric career of the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. I must admit to experiencing a certain amount of trepidation when deciding to pen a definitive of this particular performer’s career. Those of you who have read my article on Bret Hart will recall that Shawn did not feature especially favourably, and it is true that he was involved in some fairly underhanded activity where Bret Hart was concerned. I was therefore a little anxious that I might not be capable of remaining objective on the subject of Shawn Michaels. As I delved further into his life and career, I was delighted to be proven wrong. Shawn Michaels is exceptional in almost every definition of the word, as I feel sure those of you who have followed his 20-year career will agree. From excitement to exasperation, from thrilling highs to frustrating lows, the Heartbreak Kid is destined to leave his very distinctive mark on the world of professional wrestling in ways no other performer has, or ever will.

Written by OWW Radio’s Alan Wojcik:
They “snacked on danger & dined on death,” competed in WarGames, the Night of the SkyWalkers, the Tower of Doom and against the best tag teams of the 1980’s and 1990’s. Many consider the Road Warriors best tag team of all-time (Sorry Team 3D) being the only team to win the GCW, AJPW, AWA, WWE & NWA/WCW World Tag Team championships. They certainly are one of the most intimidating and impersonated figures in wrestling (see Demolition, Powers of Pain, et al.) Hawk and Animal along with their manager “Precious” Paul Ellering used to scare the crap out of their opponents while bringing people out of their seats causing the backstage phrased “Road Warrior Pop.” But everything you saw on WTBS, TNT, USA and WWE syndicated programming is nothing to the life backstage and out of ring.
