Chris Harris takes flight during one of America's
Most Wanted's many exciting matches in TNA.

- "Wildcat" Chris Harris of NWA TNA joined Wrestling News Live for a second time with hosts Trey Stone & JSK to discuss many topics ranging from America's Most Wanted getting a shot at the NWA Tag Team Titles, the tag team scene in TNA, the decision to bring in big stars such as Hulk Hogan, Sting & Lex Luger and much more. Here are the highlights from the interview:

The interview started with Trey & JSK discussing Harris' return to Wrestling News Live and how America's Most Wanted continues to be their favorite tag team in NWA TNA. Chris praised both guys for a wonderful introduction and joked by asking them who their favorite tag team will be next week. Trey mentions that if Chris listened to the show every week he would know that they praise AMW all the time. Harris jokes and says he listens to the show every week.

Trey & JSK mention that the last interview they asked him just about anything that could about how his career starting up until now and how this interview was more of a "check up" if anything. Talk turns to America's Most Wanted and how they look to have more of a fire in their eyes since losing the NWA World Tag Team Titles in an attempt to regain the titles once again. Harris mentions that they do as much as possible to fire each other up before every match. He says the last thing they do want to do is let the fans down and they have definitely stepped up a notch since tasting the gold a few months back.

Discussion turns to the tag team of Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger. Harris mentions how he heard of them from ECW and how America's Most Wanted gave them an opportunity to make a name for themselves in NWA TNA by granting them shots at the NWA World Tag Team Titles. He said that pretty much every time they faced Diamond & Swinger, they flat out kicked their asses and only beat them once via interference from Glenn Gilberti. Harris mentions how they got a tag title shot after that loss and ended up losing the belts to them, causing a long feud to take place between AMW and Diamond/Swinger/Gilberti. Harris said bottom line they faced every tag team to walk through the doors of TNA and beat them and he thinks its bull crap that they haven't been granted that many re-matches, if any, since losing the belts.

Trey & JSK then discuss the tag team scene in NWA TNA right now, with teams such as Glenn Gilberti & David Young, Triple X, The Naturals, 3 Live Kru, Sonny Siaki & Ekmo mentioned. Harris mentions that The Naturals are a very solid tag team, despite them having to affiliate with Glenn Gilberti. Harris also feels 3 Live Kru are a great tag team, but thinks that America's Most Wanted are the true tag team of TNA. As host Trey Stone tries to change gears in the interview, a funny moment takes place between Harris and the hosts that is too funny to miss!

Talk turns to Pro Wrestling Illustrated nominating America's Most Wanted one of the best tag teams in the business today. Host Trey Stone mentions that Chris Harris was put at #73 on the annual Top 500 List, while his tag team partner James Storm was put at #78. Harris mentions that neither had any heat between each other because of the ranking difference, but said he has done plenty of ribbing at Storm in the process. He mentions how when they are on the road and bored, he pulls out the magazine and asks Storm if he has seen the latest rankings. Host JSK also brings up how America's Most Wanted have been nominated for two awards in the PWI magazine for 2003. Those categories include the Steel Cage Match against Triple X in the "Match of the Year" category and for the "Best Tag Team of 2003." Harris hopes AMW is able to win one of the categories in PWI, but feels that WWE may get the edge no matter what.

The hosts then talk about Chris Harris' official website at www.WildcatChrisHarris.com. Harris apologizes about not being able to put up a commentary frequently, but says he will be doing his best to update it is as much as possible since he has been having computer troubles recently. He mentions that the webmaster of the website is his brother and how he appreciates the help he gets from him for interaction on the internet.

When asked about his upcoming schedule other than NWA TNA on Wednesday nights, Harris says that the TNA staff now officially books him so he normally doesn't find out up until a few days prior. Harris mentions the official website for booking NWA TNA stars at www.TNABookings.com.

Discussion turns to the annual NWA Anniversary show this past month when America's Most Wanted took on The Naturals (Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas) in West Virginia. Harris said the show didn't seem to have as much hype as last year and felt it should be made out to be a huge ordeal every year. Harris said that AMW had a great match with The Naturals, with Bob Ryder mentioning in a column that it was considered by many to be the match of the night.

Concerning the situation with NWA TNA bringing in big stars such as Hulk Hogan, Sting and Lex Luger and how that effects their status with the company, Harris mentioned first off that you can't go wrong by bringing in Sting. He said by bringing him in gives them instant credibly and increases interest in the TNA product. Harris said that TNA has done a great job of building new stars, but that they still need some mainstream names to help build interest overall. As far as Lex Luger goes, Harris says he knows the internet ripped TNA bad for bringing him in, but said that wrestling is a business and it was a smart decision to bring him in no matter what anyone thinks. Harris didn't feel the need to comment on the Hulk Hogan situation since it had been discussed many times before, but did say bringing him in will help them no matter what.
