This is my first column for Online World of Wrestling, and I'd like to bring to your attention a bright new promotion called 1 Pro Wrestling. 1 Pro Wrestling is a new promotion, based in Doncaster, England, that includes talent from companies such as TNA, ROH, IWC and FWA. 1PW have had two events so far, and a third will take place on March 4th and 5th. The first event was named 'A Cruel Twist of Fate' as Matt Hardy was originally going to main-event against Abyss. But he went back to WWE, so AJ Styles was brought in as a replacement. The first show included stars such as AJ Styles, Abyss, Steve Corino, Al Snow, Low Ki, Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Raven and more. It also included talent from Britain like Doug Williams and Jonny Storm. It was a landmark event and proved that 1PW was a credible independent promotion. It nearly sold out the Doncaster Dome in Doncaster, England, with 1,700 fans filling the arena. It was a good mix of technical excellence and hardcore brawls.

The highlight of this weekend may have been that Steve Corino defended the prestigious AWA World Championship against Al Snow.

1PW's second event however, was a two show weekend. The biggest part of all was that legendary former WWF Champion Bret Hitman Hart was scheduled to appear. It also saw qualifying matches for the 1PW World Championship, which will crown its first champion in March. The tournament boasted stars such as Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Sterling James Keenan, Steve Corino, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Masato Tanaka and many more. This event also nearly sold out the arena, and the main event of the weekend, a qualifying match between AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett was taped for TNA's Global Impact, was announced as the Impact Main Event by Jeremy Borash.

1PW's next event will see the 1PW World Champion crowned. It will take place on March 4th and 5th, again from the Dome in Doncaster. It boasts Christian Cage's first independent wrestling appearance since leaving WWE, and includes other talent such as Rhino, Scorpio, Austin Aries and many returning stars like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels. Many believe it will be a blockbuster event and possibly the best show yet.
