I have been a fan of pro-wrestling/sports-entertainment for the last 12 or 13 years. I got hooked in early 1994, which was considered a dark time in wrestling. I've seen many superstars come and go during this time as well as many innovative and legendary matches such as the ladder match at WrestleMania X, the Iron Man Match at WrestleMania XII, and Hell in a Cell at Badd Blood 1997, (I'm a bit of a mark for HBK).

However, over the last 2 or 3 years I have found that my favourite sport has become predictable, nothing shocks me or makes me excited anymore. (Except Edge's title win at New Years Revolution earlier this year - I almost fell off my chair when his music hit not to mention when the referee's hand came down for the third time.)

I think the main reason I am not excited about the current product is because I am an addict for the dirt sheets and news reports posted on the web on various websites.

While doing my daily browsing over these sites earlier this evening I read one headline which read "New match added to Survivor Series."Instantly I clicked the link expecting something like the 30th match between Kane and Umaga, or a Spirit Squad Tag Title rematch, but oh was I wrong!

This is the first match in a long time I have truly been excited for.

Team DX Vs Team Rated RKO.

On Team DX there is Triple H and Shawn Michaels (obviously) CM Punk (one of my favourite superstars/extremists at the moment and my favourite tag team of the modern era The Hardy Boyz.

On Team Rated RKO, the team is made up of Team DX's current feuds. Edge, Randy Orton, Mike Knox, Johnny Nitro and Gregory Helms.

There is a multitude of reasons I can't wait for this match.

Matt and Jeff Hardy have not teamed with each other since August 2002. Can they reclaim the magic they had back in the days of their feuds with E&C and The Dudleyz"

CM Punk, Johnny Nitro, Gregory Helms and Mike Knox in the same ring as HBK and Triple H.This could be one of those proverbial passing of the torch moments from the superstars of the present to the superstars of the future.

What would it mean to the world of pro-wrestling/Sports-Entertainment if Gregory Helms got a clean victory over Triple H and became the sole survivor on his team"

The biggest factor in this match in my view is how well both teams will work together. Both teams are inter-branded.

DX and Jeff Hardy are from RAW, Matt Hardy is from Smackdown! and CM Punk is from ECW.

Edge, Randy Orton and Johnny Nitro are from RAW, Gregory Helms is from Smackdown! And Mike Knox is from ECW.

I think this is a really good concept, which will hopefully have a good outcome.

For the last couple of years since the inaugural Draft Lottery and Brand Extension, it has always been RAW Vs Smackdown! Or more recently WWE Vs ECW, never before (to my knowledge) has a brand been split between two teams.

I want to be on the edge of my seat watching this match. I want to see upsets and shockers. I want all the superstars involved to be used to their full potential. More importantly (for me), I want to watch this match with the same excitement I had when I was 7 years old when I first got hooked on pro wrestling.

I just hope now that this match lives up to my expectations.

November 26th 2006 may be the most important date for me as a wrestling fan, the day I got excited about wrestling again.
