About a two years ago I got a copy of this TMC trucking company newsletter out of Iowa with details of Kirschner's life that didn't coincide with the recent details of his passing. Most notably, his real name "Thomas Spear". In hindsight, I should have spoken up so we could have gotten to the bottom of this sooner. I hope this helps everyone get the true story of Cpl Kirchner out on the internet. I'm sure the authors wouldn't mind this information circulating around the internet.
