RESULTS FROM CWF MID-ATLANTIC’S “STREE FIGHT CHALLENGE” LIVE EVENT
HELD ON JUNE 23rd IN GREENSBORO, NC

The following results are from the CWF Mid-Atlantic’s “Street Fight
Challenge” live event held Saturday, June 23rd, at the AC Fitness Gym
located in Greensboro, NC. All bouts are sanctioned by the AWA, the
American Wrestling Association.

1. Trent Wylde defeated “Jersey” Nick Richards & Roy Wilkins by
pinfall in first round action to advance in the 2007 Johnny Weaver Cup
Tournament (11:40)

2. AWA World Tag Team Champion “the 1st” Ric Converse defeated Jesse
Ortega w/Gemini Kid by pinfall in singles aciton (12:39)

3. AWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Rob “Boogie Woogie Man” McBride
& Tank Lawson defeated the Sheik’s Weapons of Mass Destruction
(Gregory Vercetti & “Dangerous E” Corey Edsel w/Sheik Lumpkin) by
pinfall to retain the titles (14:23)

4. “Simply” Steve Greene pinned AWA Mid-Atlantic Television Champion
Lee Valiant to win the title in three-team “Everything To Lose Ty
Dillinger Style” action (16:44) [Teams: AWA Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight
Champion Joey Silvia & “Simply” Steve Greene w/Commissioner Ty
Dillinger; Fatback Enterprises (Donnie Dollars & “A Very Handsome Man”
Mitch Connor w/manager Brad Stutts) & The Neon Lions (AWA Mid-Atlantic
Television Champion Lee Valiant & Chris Collins)]

Officials: Charles Richardson, Katie Kincaid & Chris Troxler

Notes:

Commissioner Ty Dillinger was confronted by Brad Stutts and his
Fatback Enterprises at the beginning of the night, just as Stutts had
suggested last week, demanding that his team be given higher profile
matches and title bouts. Sheik Lumpkin also joined in on the
complaints to the Commissioner too. The fan favorites, The Neon Lions
also answered the challenge stating there was still unfinished
business with Dillinger & Destiny, because they still had one more
belt they could win from Silvia.

Dillinger responded by giving the Sheik’s team a shot at the
Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championships. And to appease Stutts, noted
that he would give Fatback a shot at titles later in the main event.
Dillinger went on to explain that tonight there would be another
“Everything to Lose” match, but it would be Ty Dillinger style. The
rules for the main event would be that if anyone pinned the Neon
Lions, they would win Lee Valiant’s TV Title. If anyone pinned
Fatback Enterprises, they would get Mitch Connor’s contract for any
title match won at the Rumble, and if anyone pinned Destiny, they
would get a future title shot for Joey Silvia’s Mid-Atlantic Hwt. Title.

Trent Wylde kicked off the 2007 Johnny Weaver Cup Tournament with a
first ever for the tourny, winning a 3-way bout, and advancing to the
quarter-finals.

Gemini Kid began his tirade on the mic about how he disposed of the
Kamakazi Kid in the Prison Yard Match last week and that the
ever-popular wrestler would never come back. Gemini then announced
how upset that he was that he would not be wrestling later in the
night because Xsiris did not show up. Gemini claimed that he and
partner Jesse Ortega were given a contract for the AWA World Tag Team
Titles by AWA Vice President Jonnie Stewart to face Ric Converse &
Xsiris in Greensboro. Stating that Xsiris had seen what he had done
to Kazi, was too scared to show up, the match was changed to a singles
match between Ortega and Converse.

Gemini attempted to interfere in that match, but Converse was able to
score the victory regardless. Post match Gemini attacked Converse
with a pair of handcuffs, with Ortega joining in on the fray. The two
demanded they receive their World Tag Title match next week in
Burlington if Converse and Xsiris would actually show up.

The “Everything to Lose – Ty Dillinger Style Match” was under Street
Fight rules and the wild bout spilled all over the AC Fitness Gym and
nearly into West Market Street. Several of the wrestlers were bloody
as about anything that could be found was used as weapons during the
fight.

Eventually Commissioner Ty Dillinger assisted Steve Greene, who was
choking a bloody Lee Valiant with a chain, in scoring the deciding
pinfall to win back the Television Title. However some fans noticed
that Mitch Connor was also pinning Joey Siliva at the same time.
Fatback Enterprises’ Brad Stutts has posted an official protest,
claiming that his team won the match, but Steve Greene left the
building with the title as the 2-Time Mid-Atlantic TV Champion.
