Owen Hart....... we miss you man...........
Considering the show was pretty much just a memorial tribute show for Owen Hart it was an O.K show but I'm not going to start raving about it or anything. Because it seems like everywhere you look this week, every wrestling radio show you listen to, it's all about Owen Hart. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but there isn't usually one big thing that sets each show apart from one another. Needless to say, I did enjoy having your two guests on the show and hearing what they had to say about Owen, and hearing about thier interviews with friends of Owen. We all know what happend to Owen and we all know the situations around it but it was nice hearing about some of the insider's perspectives. When one of your guests (I forget which one) was talking about when he interviewed Jeff Jarrett about the night of Owen's accident. And he was mentioning that Jarrett was in the middle of an interview and saw someone get rushed by him on a stretcher. However, Jarrett had no idea who it was and then he went out to the ring afterwards to wrestle a match and he noticed there was a dent in the ring from where Owen fell and he had to ask the referee what that was. All of this just sounds heartbreaking. It was very relevant how you guys decided to play a part of the Debra interview you guys managed to get a couple months back (good job by the way) and she was mentioning in that clip you guys played exactly how she was conducting an interview at the time with Jarrett. However, unlike Jarrett, she did notice that it was Owen Hart who was getting strecthered out just off camera and started to cry. I enjoyed listening to the couple of wrestling insider clips you guys managed to get where old wrestlers were talking about thier favourite memories of Owen. That was nice. Harvey Wippleman's interview was very hilarious. (I had no idea he hated George "The Animal" Steele so much) The funniest line of the entire episode however has to go to you Nick. Right at the beginning of the show, you say, "These wrestler leave behind family, friends, loved ones, and hated ones." And hated ones? lol, why did you include that in the sentence? Leaving behind hated ones is usually a good thing lol. Besides, once again I'm not sure which one of the guests it was on the show, but he kept constantly proclaiming that Owen is one of those few guys that nobody can say a bad word about. (Although, this is a nice thing to say, and in many people's cases, nobody can say anything bad about the great Owen Hart. However, Stone Cold has on multiple occasions spoke up about Owen accidentaly breaking his neck at Summerslam 1997 and then being pissed off that Owen never called to talk to him anytime after the show to check up on him) The clip at the end of the show was nice. Too bad a lot of Owen Hart's career within the WWF he was playing a heel so there arn't too many 'nice' sounding things you could find of him to include in that tribute, video package at the end. Since I'm already here, I'm going to tell you all one of my favourite Owen Hart stories. I am not an insider of any sort within the wrestling business and so I have no funny backstage story of him to tell. But my favourite story of Owen Hart would have to be whenever he walked out in front of the camera after the SS 97 incident wearing the "Owen 3:16, I just broke your neck" T-shirts lol. Those were just hilarious. Well, I guess that wasn't a story but it is a good memory of Owen's that I will always enjoy. I can't believe it's been 10 years. Well, Owen, I hope you continue to Rest in peace. (P.S- I think everybody should check out my Undisputed debate this week. The topic seems to be very relevant to the topic of this show )
