Default All-Time Dream Matches Between Past & Present Wrestlers You Would've Liked To See

Andre the Giant vs. Undertaker
The 8th Wonder of the World vs. the Phenom. Andre was known for his immense size and strength but he was also agile. Undertaker is today what Andre was in the WWF Locker room - the 'boss'

Gorilla Monsoon vs. Vader
Both big in size, agile, Monsoon was faster, amateur background, Vader was stiff as heck, trained in Japan, slower but moved like an unstoppable truck

AJ Styles vs. Dynamite Kid
Kid would've been a massive obstacle for AJ, regardless of who'd win, AJ would come out of the match more wiser and educated.

Randy Orton vs. Jake Roberts
Orton tends to get criticised for his wrestling talent. In many ways I see moments of Jake Roberts with his calm yet callous demeanor and the clever delivery in some of his moves. To this day Jake is light years ahead of Randy, but Orton is the best thing in terms of silence, patience and delivery. Orton really doesn't have to shout to get his point across.

I definitely agree with Shocky's picks. Andre and Taker would have been great, and Jake Roberts and Randy Orton would be an instant classic!

Abyss vs Kane. Masked Kane. The Kane we all forgot about. The Big Red Machine, Kane. I'd like to see Abyss take on someone like himself, but if push came to shove, I'd probably put my money on Abyss...although they're both very big, I think Abyss is a little faster.

The match that never happened

CM Punk vs Chris Benoit (I think you can count Benoit as a wrestler from the past)

The Million Dollar Man vs. Tyson Kidd. A wonderful technical wrestler, vs. the protege of one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time.

Macho Man Randy Savage vs. Jay Lethal. Not wrestling, just grunting at each other.

Jesse Ventura vs. The Miz in a "your momma so fat" contest.

Andre the Giant vs. Big Show in a Chinese buffet match. I'm not sure what that entails, but it'd be epic.

Hulk Hogan vs. JBL- Hogan vs. DiBiase was one of the greatest feuds of the 80s. This one could have been even better. Sure, the big match would probably be lousy, but a feud over Who is the greater American would be great. Obviously JBL would be the winner here.

John Cena vs. Vader- Cena is really good at wrestling monsters. His best match was against Umaga. Vader is better than Umaga. Vader had great matches with Sting. Cena isn't as good as Sting was. Still, I think this match would be fantastic.

Randy Orton vs. Ricky Steamboat- I'm not the biggest Orton fan, but I think Steamboat would be a perfect opponent for him. Steamboat was great at selling. He'd make Orton's chinlocks and stomps look like death. Orton wrestled Benoit a bunch of times and hung around Flair for years so you know he knows how to take a chop.

Taz (ECW) vs. Samoa Joe- This would be a great unstoppable force vs. immoveable object type of match. Tazzmission vs. Choke. Tazplexes vs. Muscle Buster. This would have been a small time version of Hogan vs. Andre for hugeness and unlike Hogan vs. Andre, this probably would have been a great match.

Kurt Angle vs. Randy Savage- Everybody always talks about Angle vs. Bret as a dream match, and I'm sure that bout would have been excellent, but I would rather see Angle vs. a nut who is going to take his suplexes in the most painful, awkward way imaginable like, Mick Foley, or a guy who will go 100 miles per hour with Kurt like Savage. Since Angle vs. Foley happened in TNA, Savage is my choice as a dream Kurt Angle opponent.

Jericho vs. Perfect is not a dream match I ever thought of before but I like that idea a lot.

Edge vs. Terry Funk- They were on opposite sides in a great tag match at the 2nd One Night Stand show. I think they'd have a great singles match as well. Edge can be all sleazy and heelish. Funk can be old and nuts.

I still want to see Punk vs HBK on any card, and time of HBK's career. Punk vs HBK at WrestleMania would be a fantastic match. HBK always rises up for big matches, and Punk is a great wrestler himself. This would be a great match whether it was 90's HBK or HBK of today.

Ted DiBiase and JBL vs Hogan and Cena. Now this may be a random formation of two tag teams, but I did this for a couple reasons. Ted vs Hogan was a great WWF rivalry, and JBL vs Cena led to Cena's first world title. Ted and JBL make one side, as the millionaire heels, and Hogan and Cena make the team of the unstoppable babyfaces. If this rivalry could actually happen we would see great promos from all four members. The matches themselves would be pretty good too, more fun to see than anything.

Brother Ray vs. Dick Murdoch
I would've liked to see these two go at it

Shelton Benjamin vs. Mike Rotundo
Minnesota vs. Syracus!!!!!!!!

JTG vs. Koko B. Ware
Similar styles, these two would've been great in the ring

Jamie Noble vs. Dynamite Kid
Dynamite would've complimented anyone in his weight division

Owen Hart vs. Eric Young
There's comedic similarities in how these two cut promos

I, too, am one of the many who would have killed to see an in-his-prime Bret Hart versus an in-his-prime Kurt Angle, especially a 60 minute Iron Man Match.

Other dream matches for me:

AJ Styles v. RVD, No Holds Barred
Do you want to see the most entertaining spotfest in history, coupled with some of the most over-exaggerated selling in history? This match would be one-stop shopping. It wouldn't be good storytelling, but it would be a whole hell of a lot of fun to watch. (I'm considering RVD a past wrestler until I see him sign with somebody)

Davey Boy Smith v. David Hart Smith
Could have been a great father/son rivalry leading up to this one. It works either way; the stubborn old man who's holding back his aspiring young son, or the upstart arrogant punk trying to knock off his cagey ol' pappy.

Stone Cold Steve Austin v. Rowdy Roddy Piper
Promos only. No wrestling...or, as it would undoubtedly be, 30 minutes of punching, eye-poking, and nut shots...would be necessary.

The Motor City Machineguns v. Team Angle/The World's Greatest Tag Team
Yes, please.

Alex Shelley v. Chris Jericho
Alex Shelley reminds me a lot of young Jericho. This match would be tremendous...and the promos would be a lot of fun, too. This match sort of breaks the rules of the whole past wrestler thing...but too bad!

Owen Hart v. Chris Jericho
For Jericho's sake. And also because...let's be honest...this would be a five star match.

AAAAAAaaaand finally, my personal favorite:

Hacksaw Jim Duggan v. Harley Race
In a "Who Is Less Physically Attractive?" Match. Good luck referee.
