Introducing: The Game

I've been wanting to start this for awhile now but figured I'd wait until a new month started. Some people may have noticed my attempts to play a trivia game in the chatbox at various times. Now I'm going to make that game official. Here are the details.

Players
"The Game" is open to any registered members of OWW Genesis, Staff included.

Rules
Users will answer trivia questions, MOSTLY wrestling based, to earn points. At the end of the time period (currently set at 1 month) the user with the most points will be awarded with a custom user title of their choosing (which will have to be approved by me and must be forum friendly) to be displayed for the entire month immediately following their victory. All scores will be kept track by me and revealed at the end of the month.

Points
Points can be earned in a variety of 2 ways. First I'll hold at least 1 official Chat Box Trivia game per month with a date and time being posted at least 3 days in advance. I will ask my question in the chatbox with the first user who answers correctly getting the point(s).

The second way to earn points will be by answering any questions I randomly drop in threads. All official "Game" questions will look like this:

When answering a thread question you MUST quote the original question and post your answer in the same thread. Answers that aren't in the correct format will not be recognized.

You may NOT make more than one guess in a post. You may attempt to answer each question only once.

Users who guess incorrectly CAN NOT take a second guess at that particular question

The first person to answer the question correctly will earn the points. Please don't continue to answer a question once a correct answer has been confirmed.

The date for the Nov. edition of Chat Box Trivia will be revealed LATER in this thread. At the end of the month, a tracking thread will be created in the Wrestling Games section and will become the official thread for The Game from that point forward. If you have any questions feel free to ask them now.

So when you say you are going to drop questions in random threads, is it going to pertain to the thread? For example, Thread: Rey Mysterio retires. And then a question like Who did Rey Mysterio defeat to win the WHC?

Yes McFly, most often the question will pertain somehow to the thread.

Well, considering you have 4,573 posts as of typing and counting, I'm sure that finding these questions will be very simple.

Most of my posts come from the News forum so if you frequent that area then yes, they will be easy to find.

This sounds like a very interesting idea. I loooove wrestling trivia games!

I will most definatly be doing my best to keep an eye out for this thing as it makes its way through the month of November.

Although, I feel the 2 only ways of being able to garner points in this game are a little bias and almost completely based on luck. If possible, I'd like to here other ways and methods you guys can come up with to get these trivia questions across to us, the genesis users, to have us earn points. I understand this is not an easy situation and I for one, as of this writing, have no extra ideas to help you. But if you guys can think of any other ideas, to help get these trivia questions out, I would love to here them. Maybe for example you can decide to do the CB trivia game more than just 1 time throughout the month.

Lastly, I would like to enthusiastically compliment you Truth on taking this chance and trying to start something new. It's always fun trying to do something different to help freshen and re-stimulate things. I truly do hope this experiment works out.

How are they bias?

Maybe for example you can decide to do the CB trivia game more than just 1 time throughout the month.

That's an option but right now I'm running this alone. If I find spare time throughout the month maybe I'll do more than one game. But I'm not going to commit myself to something I may or may not be able to do.

Well you know. You said yourself before the threads and sections of the site you go into more often are the threads and sections where we are going to find the trivia questions. But, for example, if someone who log's onto this site usually just checks the efed sections and wrestling videos section, instead of the news section like you pointed out for example, then there's a good chance these people are not going to come across many trivia questions.

Well if they're just coming here for the efed why would they want to play a wrestling trivia game? You're picking on a miniscule detail in a game I came up with because I was bored.
