Eric Anderson wrote in with his review:
Honest, but possibly ghost written. It tells the story of The Rock, but perhaps not at a point in his life where a story needed to be told. Right now would be a great time, but perhaps not back in 1999.
Simon Clark wrote in with his review:
The Rock Says is a fascinating read but a problem is that it sounds ghost written. As The Rock isn't as charismatic in the book as he his on screen. When I read it for the first time late 1999 I was gripped, it shows The Rock off as a very humble person which made me even more of a fan of his after i read it. Most of the book is about wrestling, and not about his life, but it is intersting to learn about the antics him and Mick Foley get up to backstage. This book at times can get very emotional as the chapter 'Owen' portrays. This book is a very compelling even though The Rock didn't write the book it still has that class about it that every WWE published book has
Out of 10 I would give The Rock says - ******** (8 out of 10)
