The following is a recap from Jackie’s interview on the show, provided by The Mayhem’s official show correspondent, Dan Kriegbaum:

==========================================================================================================================

The Mayhem Crew welcomed Jackie back to the show for the first time in over two years, and asked how everything is going with the “new addition to the HaasHold” with their new daughter, as well as the opening of their new family business, Custom Muscle. Jackie said that the family is doing well, and it has been six weeks already since giving birth to Taylor Suzanne Haas — which she can not believe. She then mentioned that Custom Muscle is just like another baby in the “HaasHold,” which they have been “working their butts off” on, trying to invest & give back to the community. She said that like in all athletic & entertainment jobs, it is not going to be there forever as all three involved with Custom Muscle (Jackie, Charlie Haas, & “The Samoan Bulldozer” Umaga) have experienced, which is part of the reason why Custom Muscle was launched on an investment side of things. “It’s more of just a store, it’s more of a vision, and way of life that we live.”

The Big Mosh mentioned how seemingly everything in life has its critics (sports, entertainment, politics, etc), with those “armchair quarterbacks” asking just how long something is going to last, and asked Jackie how much support they have been getting towards Custom Muscle within the wrestling industry since it has opened. Jackie said that the support has been tremendous, and in regards to the critics, she mentioned that the key is to “be smart with everything you do, and know where it is you’re feeding into.” She said that while they have not received that much criticism, any that they get is taken constructively to help improve & make Custom Muscle better.

Jackie then thanked the fans for all of their support, and mentioned that a person’s health & nutrition is extremely important because it affects the future, which Custom Muscle is trying to assist in improving. She plugged the website (www.Custom-Muscle.com), and mentioned that if you enter coupon code GRAND at checkout, you will receive 10% off of your purchase.

Blade mentioned Team 3-D’s fitness smoothie shop down in Florida, along with JBL’s Mamajuana Energy drink, and asked Jackie if they talked with any of the three of them before starting Custom Muscle. Jackie said that they actually tried keeping everything quiet until it opened, as they wanted to use their own knowledge & utilities to promote it on their own rather than “riding the coat tails” of places like the WWE or other markets. She added that while they look for advice & ways to improve, they build Custom Muscle on their own from the ground up, with plans to open more retail locations and expand the website in the future.

Mosh mentioned the expansion of women’s wrestling in the past few years since Jackie’s in-ring departure, with a more-established Knockouts division in TNA, as well as the new WWE Divas Championship in the WWE, and asked Jackie if she believes that women’s wrestling has improved, or gotten worse overall. Jackie mentioned the old saying “any publicity is good publicity,” and “no matter what way you look at it, women’s wrestling is always talked about,” — whether doing a phenomenal wrestling match, or the “best damn bra & panties excursion there is.” She added that women’s wrestling has it’s “role” in wrestling, and it goes through it’s up’s & down’s on whether or not there is a need for it, or just the mere number of women on the roster. In regards to her role in TNA, while she is saddened that she has not gone back, she said she left on “the most fantastic terms” & was really excited to have been a part of the “beginning” of the Knockouts division. She went on to say that women have a certain role in wrestling, with 99% of the time being sex appeal, but she is ecstatic that women are getting a chance to wrestle & show their athletic ability more currently. “If there are more catfights some months than others, it’ll turn around & come back.”

In response to a few Mayhem fan e-mails about Cyber Sunday’s WWE Diva Costume contest where fans mentioned that they would have liked to see Jackie compete, Jackie mentioned that she was texting with Victoria, and said that “she would have made a better banana,” which they both had a good laugh at. She mentioned that she misses the wrestling business, like everyone else who truly loved it, and said that she has moved in a different direction in life, but still loves to watch it & thanks all of her fans for their support.

The Mayhem Crew then talked about CMT’s new hit show, “Hulk Hogan‘s Celebrity Championship Wrestling,” and the recent comparisons it has received to MTV’s “Tough Enough,” which Jackie was one of the two winners in its second season. Jackie mentioned that she still gets recognized as being the Tough Enough winner possibly more so than a WWE Diva, and added that she heard from several “higher up production people” that pulling the plug on Tough Enough “was a big mistake.” In regards to wrestling reality shows, she mentioned how other shows have four or five takes, when it’s supposed to be “real,” but the whole genre in general has a huge draw & audience. She said that she has not seen much of CCW, but thinks, in some ways, it could be like a spin-off of “Tough Enough” & thinks the whole idea is great.

Mosh & Blade shifted gears to the attention of one of the hottest entertainers currrently on the WWE roster: Charlie Haas. Jackie’s husband has had tremendous recent success under his “Mr. Personality” alter-egos, impersonating/parodying other performers of yesterday & today. The MNM Crew asked Jackie what the success so far has been like for them personally. Jackie said that personally, she has laughed & cried at some of the characters Charlie has portrayed, and in regards to his Beth Phoenix impersonation from RAW this past Monday night, her response was “He is much more of a woman than I will ever be.” She mentioned CBL & The Great Charli as being some of her favorites, and even their first daughter gets a laugh out of it. She went on to say that a couple months ago, it seemed like they collectively were biting their nails off as to what his future would be like, as Charlie seemed to be lost in the shuffle. She is very proud however, as he has “stepped up” his game in the past few months under his new character. Jackie added that Charlie even practiced Beth Phoenix’s flip into the ring for three hours…just trying to get it right!

More in this hour-long interview MNM exclusive with Jackie, including more of what really goes on in “The HaasHold,” the possible future expansion of Custom Muscle, being the wife of “Mr. Personality,” her newest venture as a columnist/blogger for FitnessRX Magazine (www.FitnessRXMag.com), & what Jackie wants for her birthday (this Monday: November 3rd), & much more.
