  3. Kurt Angle Found Not Guilty of DUI

In a non-jury trial for charges of driving under the influence and careless driving, filed in Allegheny County, PA, on Sept. 28, 2007, Kurt Angle was found not guilty today.

According to an article by Gabrielle Banks in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Allegheny County Judge David Cashman declared Kurt Angle not guilty on charges of driving under the influence and careless driving today.

The former Olympic Gold Medalist and current TNA wrestler was arrested at his home after a woman called in a complaint, saying Mr. Angle almost hit her car coming out of the Seashell Bar in Moon, PA.

Angle’s lawyer challenged the charges on the basis that no police officer could put Mr. Angle in the vehicle at a specific time — a crucial element in proving DUI. They had arrested him at his home, where he had been drinking at the time they arrived.
